  • The philosopher Pythagoras is commonly attributed to the initial development of these ideas.
    Although Pythagoras did not explicitly utilize the microcosm and macrocosm concept or created a definitive anthropomorphic view of the universe, he nevertheless made significant contributions to our understanding of the cosmos.
    He is attributed as the first philosopher to employ the term "cosmos" in reference to the Universe, likely drawing inspiration from the celestial sphere studded with stars.
    His use of the term aligns closely with the Zoroastrian notion of aša, which signifies a divinely guided order or creation.
    As such, the concept of cosmos encapsulates not merely the entirety of the Universe, but also conveys the notion of a harmoniously balanced order governing it.
    Pythagoras and his disciples who eventually formed a mystery cult, viewed numbers and their ratios as the underlying principles of harmony pervading the Universe.
    They perceived a close link between human aesthetic experiences in music, art, and the orderly motions of celestial bodies.
    This connection between the cosmos and mankind provided a foundational framework for their philosophy, intertwining religious rituals, mathematical and astronomical studies, and artistic pursuits.
    Pythagoras and his religious followers proposed mathematical answers to divine queries and regarded mathematical exercises as spiritual practices aimed at soul purification.

    He was exiled and the Persians gave him shelter. He became the court philosopher and lived there for about 20 years. That’s why he has the Zoroastrian influence referred to in this video. His mystery school has many other Zoroastrian influences as well. Wishing we knew more about the mystery school.

    Ones when I was 14 my girlfriend and I made an ouijaboard at a birthday of one of the 8 girls. We asked who was there with our fingers on the glass. "Pythagoras" very very quick the letters where pointed out with the glass... strange things happened but what I want to share is the question we asked: "How did you die?" The answer was "knife". So we thought he was stapped to death. But I read a book about him and nothing about him being stapped te death but... you'll never know what was the reason, we weren't there ofcourse ;-)

      I don’t know about that, but it is true that an Indian named Baudhayana created the “Pythagoras Theorum” in 800 bce before Pythagoras.

    Pythagoras was the basis of Classical Times whom we know very little of. Wasn't there an initiation that involved psychedelics like other cults?

      The tradition that Pythagoras carried goes all the way back to Orpheus and its what we called in Greece the Orphic-pythagorean line that covers thousands of years of what we call now pre-socratic philosophers that goes all the way up to Plato and Aristotle. Plato is Pythagorean. So were the Eleysinian Mysteries tradition. Where they eere using psychedelics. And the whole of Greek mythology and theology is based on the same understanding. Aristotle is of the same tradition with a focus on the Mind as a tool. The Organon. Then we have the Stoics which are great for developing an everyday basis attitude... Regarding Zoroastrianism this is wrong. There's a very fine line that seperates the two. Zoroastrianism is dualistic. Greek thought is cyclical and holistic. In fact the very origins of Christianity have their roots in thw eastern tradition of understanding the world. And when i say eastern I mean middle Eastern non Hinduism and Buddhism. Those are much closer to Greek philosophy and thought even if we do not understand this in the West now as we had 2.500 years of Christian ... indoctrination.

      @@ermodoroslakedaimonios I’ll look it up and try to link for you. Please note the emphasis on fire in Pythagoras. That’s part of the Zoroastrian influence.

    • @ermodoroslakedaimonios
      @ermodoroslakedaimonios 7 місяців тому

      @@Nozarks1 but the fire was what Prometheus gave to humanity. Fire symbolises consciousness, Logos the divine spark in humanity. That you gradually approach through our world of opposites. From Thesis and Antithesis to Synthesis. Through philosophy. That's why the letter has this shape: Λ. Logos, fires up the consciousness to understand justice. That's what we come here to learn. DIKAION is justice. DI (Which means through something) and KAION which means burning. Fire.
      That's why the symbol of Zeus is the lightening. Synapses means syn + apto. Syn as in addition + apto which means lightening up. Also the word Nucleus in Greek is ΠΥΡΗΝ Pyren in English. It's Pyr, fire + ήν which is the indefinite, tense of the verb "I am". Also Heraclitus... Pyr Aeizoon. Referring to the Cosmos. Eternally living fire. Orfeus talks about Phanes. Coming out of the orphic egg. It also implies fire. So fire is not an indicative notion of Zoroastrianism. The indicative notion is that it is based on a linear understanding of the cosmos as well as the existence of an evil entity. Which Greek thought and Pythagoras for certain do not acknowledge. In Greek thought evil comes from the ignorance, arrogance, inflamed ego of the human beings themselves, and all misfortunes of humanity as cause and effect of our own lack of understanding of the Natural Laws. The Natural Laws are the 12 Gods themselves. The Gods with their qualities and aspects is a massive complicated fractal of unraveling the function of the Natural Laws. Aristotle separates humanity in three categories. And Plato thought and consciousness in 4 categories. All, even Orpheus, talk about the world of Ideas. The world of Ideas is Olympus. Olympus means Olon (Whole + Lampus (that's where the word Lamp comes from) It means shine, pure light. Which Pythagoras also explains through the Tetraktys and the harmony of the spheres. And the actual musical system. Philosophy is the highest form of music Socrates says. The harmony of the spheres, the sounds of the motions of the planets that Pythagoras studied and actually listened, is what Timeus the Pythagorean philosopher is referring to when he is saying: that eyesight was given to us with reason to observe the unshakeable motions of the Cosmos so that we can mimic them to correct our own unbalanced motions so that we can align to the universal harmony and rhythm. Pythagoras as well as many other philosophers travelled a lot and learned a lot through his traveling. But whatever he learned he applied it to the Greek way of thinking. He is a massive part of the Greek tradition of thought and his thought is 100% Greek. It's tiring to hear about Greeks from non-Greeks who cannot understand Greek therefore cannot really understand the logic of the Greeks. Or to hear stolen Greek sentences and quotes reworded as something new. I.e Carl Jung is like you read reworded Greek mythology served as psychology. Or Copernicus "discovering the heliocentric system" while we have it even in our word for age. Helikia. Helios + kio. How many times you have orbited around the sun... Or that "the world is a stage" when palladas alexandreus is saying "the world is a stage and a game. You either need to learn how to play the game, or suffer the consequences". Plus there has been a great deal of misinformation about the Greeks going around on purpose. One of the biggest misinformations is that Greece is the birthplace of Western civilization... It's not. If people had actually understood what the Greeks are saying the world wouldn't be as it is now. Closest to Greek thinking is Buddhism and Hinduism. And the American Indians. And of course ancient Egypt. And I believe that Taoism is close too but I haven't studied it at all. I know very little about it. Zoroastrianism is not. Zoroastrianism is the forefather of the Abrahamic religions which are the total opposite of Greek thought. No coincidence that there was a Holocaust that no-one knows about in the middle ages against the Greeks and the Roman Hellenists or any other Hellenists that lasted a few hundred years. Ok I stop here. I can keep going for weeks. If not months.
