This was the first flight of my new Cliffhanger design. It is similar to an Ocean Breeze but with a swept forward wing and different tail design. It was built a bit heavier and came out at 1kg ~(200g more than the Ocean Breeze)
Those 5 dislikers couldn't recognize awesome even if it hit them right in their face. Such chill beautiful flying and awesome building skill never ceases to amaze :) There's just something magical about those old designs.
Another elegant, wonderful model. Anything I could say has already been said. John, a few details about the build please, wing span, chord, control surfaces span, and length of fuselage.
If you could place a ruler next to your section builds along with a few notes about lumber sizes, a lot of us with enough experience would be able to replicate some of your designs by just seeing the general structure. I know id be on board with it. Great flyer!
John, I’m sorry to say this but I can’t wait for the day your lovely wife gets mad and starts placing these models by the curbside for us to have. I’m going to be fighting others off for a number of these beautiful planes. Keep up the great flight! Tony
Hi John This think this design would look absolutely stunning as a Canard. Could you make it happen? BTW the cliffhanger is still stunning too, thanks for sharing such an inspiring video
Lol Funky green, funky wing, funky music! The color almost matched the sea in one of the panning shots! Did the forward swept wing noticably change flight characteristics much? I liked the decal on the front right fuse, classy! Thanks John!
I’m not actually sure what the green covering on this glider is. It’s just some old stock I had laying around but it’s really quite heavy. Normally I use the cheap unbranded stuff from Hobbyking. It’s really good covering.
I will make plans available to anyone, for free, if I can get them drawn up properly. I have no interest in producing a kit as I only fly for fun and wouldn’t want to turn it into a business
Sharp looking wing design! It has an interesting flight characteristic. Have you tried different Center of Gravity settings? Where was it for this flight?
Very cool John! By the way however, I'm still waiting on the invoice for your slope, shipping charges, etc. When might I expect it, and could you quote me delivery time?
I am sure this is FAKE ! There is a string holding the glider in the blue sky !!!! But impossible to see it Very clever !😆😆 Or may be it is the magic of christmas HO HO HO 🎅🎅🎅
Hi there, so glad you like the design. I will make the plans available as soon as I get them drawn up properly. It was originally just a bit of an experiment.

the soft stall of a forward sweep
Where can we get a plan
This Bird looked like it couldn’t wait to take to the air ! Very beautiful design and finish. Thanks again Mr. & Mrs. W
Wow just Wow! What a beautiful flying plane... just floats there. Thanks again!

Thank you!
It’s still a pleasure to watch your videos. Great flight John.
Thank you!
Top marks once again, Sir. Very encouraged to hear you are going to make plans available. Looking forward to a distribution announcement!

Beautiful craft. Love the color too.
Very nice glider, I do like the swept forward wing.
Another good one John.
Beautiful as always, love the green. A little tutorial on building, please 😇😇😇😇
Wow John another fantastic design that looks great and fly's great.
Love this one..Like the swept forward wings just like some birds of prey..Green my fat colour too..I want one..
Absolutely majestic, as ever, John! Keenly awaiting the publication of these plans if still possible, Covid cabin-fever is taking a firm hold!!! Help!
Now if you could make them Bark you would a flying pet dog.
As always magnificent work.
Precioso vuelo!!!! Buen trabajo!!! Nos encantaría ver algún video del montaje
Over 4 minutes of pure joy!
Wonderful design and again great footage!
Thank you again. Hope things are all good with you.
What a beautiful bird.
Another keeper! Thanks John.
Another elegant, wonderful model. Anything I could say has already been said.
John, a few details about the build please, wing span, chord, control surfaces span, and length of fuselage.
Two words. Pure magic!
nice design and flight! cheers!

Thanks John!
You float like a feather, in a beautiful world . . . .
The forward sweep makes it look like it's reaching to grab the air.
I´m in LOVE - sucht a nice plane
John,
I’m sorry to say this but I can’t wait for the day your lovely wife gets mad and starts placing these models by the curbside for us to have. I’m going to be fighting others off for a number of these beautiful planes. Keep up the great flight! Tony
Thank You John
Super as usual!Let's hope that we shall still have your beautiful vidéos after Brexit!Soaring in the wind is not taxable!Cheers !
Awesome as always!
Top video John 👍👍
Woodfield Air...Magic😀🛩🌠🌠🌠👍
I like the wing design
Your covering jobs are always so pristine. Have you ever considered doing a short tutorial video?
Thank you. A few people have asked for a covering video, so maybe I should.
A great flight and a great model. Congratulations. It is possible to get the plan? It would be very nice and helpful
Hi John This think this design would look absolutely stunning as a Canard. Could you make it happen? BTW the cliffhanger is still stunning too, thanks for sharing such an inspiring video
Yes, I agree. It would make into a great looking canard.....
Lovely
Are the plans available?
I will get some drawn up properly...
Gotta love it, Thanks John
Thank you!
Do swept forward wings fly different then swept back wings
Another great one guy's ! What is the white one on the ground ?
It’s an Ocean Breeze. Basically the same glider but with straight wings and a different tail.
This thing is beautiful, are you gonna publish plans or make a kit?
It’s only a hobby for me so there won’t be a kit. But I will get the plans drawn up properly and make them available.
Where is the covering from please.
I’m not sure. It was some old stock I used up but it didn’t have a label on it.
Gorgeous flying..
Rudder and elevator 2ch???
Thank you. Yes, just two channel. Keeps things simple and light
That's awsome.
Hi. What about the stall speed ?
If the wing is swept forward and control is rudder, no ailerons, do you have to increase the dihedral?
The forward sweep doesn’t seem to make any difference to the amount of dihedral needed.
Lol Funky green, funky wing, funky music! The color almost matched the sea in one of the panning shots! Did the forward swept wing noticably change flight characteristics much? I liked the decal on the front right fuse, classy! Thanks John!
Would love one of these!
Moc pěkné 👌
Another beauty. How long did it take to build and how did you decide on the angle of forward sweep ?
It took about a week to build. The forward sweep was done using the ‘that looks about right’ principle of design
@@SlopeRCGliders 'If it looks right, it'll fly right" 😃👍
John, where do you buy your solar film from? think you mentioned Oralight in one of your videos as I recall.
I’m not actually sure what the green covering on this glider is. It’s just some old stock I had laying around but it’s really quite heavy.
Normally I use the cheap unbranded stuff from Hobbyking. It’s really good covering.
@@SlopeRCGliders thanks. I found some on hobbyking and ordered several reels. Very expensive material these days!
@@knowledgebyte it certainly is! But at least the Hobbyking stuff is cheaper than the branded makes. Good luck with the covering
Have you ever thought about selling the plans or kits?
I will make plans available to anyone, for free, if I can get them drawn up properly. I have no interest in producing a kit as I only fly for fun and wouldn’t want to turn it into a business
@@SlopeRCGliders kann man den Plan bekommen? can you get the plan?
Sharp looking wing design! It has an interesting flight characteristic. Have you tried different Center of Gravity settings? Where was it for this flight?
The CG is about 1/3 way back on the average wing cord, which puts it almost at the leading edge of the root cord.
Very cool John! By the way however, I'm still waiting on the invoice for your slope, shipping charges, etc. When might I expect it, and could you quote me delivery time?
I am sure this is FAKE !

HO HO HO 🎅🎅🎅
0h yea 👍
Very cool design!
But the stabilizer doesn't take the design of the hole model. In my opinion it needs to be a little bit roundet. Just my taste... 😉
Can I buy the plans from you..Was gonna build a leprechaun but in fact I like this better..
Hi there, so glad you like the design. I will make the plans available as soon as I get them drawn up properly. It was originally just a bit of an experiment.
Who are the three jerks that fat fingered John’s rating!
Had a tough emotional day? ...Watch these videos.
