I appreciate so much your discussion on sucralose. Of course, I've heard Chris's excellent explanation, but as you know, people often don't want to hear facts when they've already made up their minds. Hearing people criticize Ketochow (of which I am a huge fan) because it uses sucralose is very frustrating to me. I also buy bottles of it to sweeten other things. To me, it is one of the sweeteners least likely to mess up my biome because of the infinitesimal amount needed compared to other sweeteners (especially sugar). I am also frustrated when people say KC is not carnivore because the amount of non-carnivore ingredients is tinier than the seasonings most people put on their steak. I rationalize the non-carnivore ingredients the way others do seasonings. Regardless, we all have to do our own path as you said. P.S. Cats are smart enough to take over the world. They're just too lazy to do so.
Wow, I like KetoChow. I have temporarily stayed away from it while I’m detoxing and eating 100% Whole Foods, but I do think KetoChow is great. It’s so weird how we have so many experts and no real good independent research.
The two stories were great. I didn't think the cat one was true because I didn't consider the speed dial and speaker phone combo. The kickboxer one definitely shows how tenacious you are at achieving something. Thanks for sharing.
I love this podcast. A crank call cat, a kickboxer, and MOST of the truth about sucralose. If someone says it is poison, ask them to show you the chemical analysis that makes it a poison. The smart money says they can't do it. Because Science. Please keep up these wonderful videos.
Yeah ... I'm still a huge NO to sucralose and maltodextrin but like you Steve I agree these are personal choices we each have make and live with. Also I think for me what I look at first & foremost is my own blood glucose reactions. Sucralose & maltodextrin absolutely trigger a glucose / insulin response 'for me'.
YUP! My husband is a doctor, and we had a terrible time being "censored" and "shadow banned" during that whole "issue". My husband worked through the ENTIRE "issue" and had patients who had the "illness" and he had a protocol he prescribed, and it was ALL OVER THE COUNTER, nothing controversial, just immunity boosters (like Zinc, Quercitin, Vitamins C D & E) and he NEVER LOST EVEN 1 PATIENT who was on that protocol! This was in Fort Mohave AZ working on a reservation clinic... meanwhile the Navajo nation just a few 100 miles away lost TONS of people! So my husband is HELPING patients and SAVING LIVES... and they censor and shadow ban!?! I deleted my facebook because of that, being "flagged" it so angered me. I still don't have a facebook! Ya! I don't like the "who" AT ALL!! They & Dr "F" are allowed to pass out as MUCH "disinformation" that they want, and they don't get "flagged"! They don't really care about us!
I had that same problem on other platforms because I take that same OTC protocol daily, because it cured me of the illness and then prevented a recurrence, so I haven't been ill in years. The late MD who came up with the protocol was banned.
Heeheehee! We can hold the onions for you... I thought I recognized the "accent"- Rapid City gal here ( growing up anyways)! Nice to hear the old home state coming through! Keep your "what I do in a day" to yourself... it is personal... and you are not in the position to have folks saying to themselves "well if HE DOES IT- I should too"- all well & good if it does no harm.. but sometimes the universe goes awry and someone could get hurt - and then where will the fingers point? I would hate to see that happen... it's a lesson I learned from working in the healthfood retail biz.. anyway... thanks for all that you and your family do with the channel.. it's always interesting !
On your comment about poisoning dosage. I remember reading 15 years ago, arsenic is in almost all foods. We eat it every day, but it doesn't kill us because it's in such a low "dose". So, you're correct, poison is not poison unless it is in a higher dose that does harm. Just my thoughts. Any doubters, Google it.
Steve, always like listening to your video podcasts as I find them interesting and motivating. Did not see the kick boxing coming as one of your truths, lol you must have been a little crazier back than!
Couple things - THANK YOU for addressing sucralose. I'm with you 100% in it and incorporate it regularly with no issue, but I couldn't agree more that folks have to make that decision for themselves. Second - I laughed hysterically at the whole "ketchup packet to scrape off the onions" thing and experienced a little childhood PTSD with that one. 🤣
Steve, thank you so much about the information on sucralose. I just ordered some diet root beer flavoring to use with my Soda Stream which contains stevia and sucralose. I was apprehensive about the sucralose because I thought it was bad. You have allayed my fears. Thank you very much. The timing on this is perfect!
Ultimately, as individuals, we are responsible for our own health and safety. For the past several decades, we have been intentionally misled by "experts" and authorities to optimize their own profits and ambitions. I absolutely LOVE dissolving their power over me! It's my new life's mission! Thank you for your help!
100% AGREE. And it’s also happening in the pet food industry. My vet almost dropped up because I wanted to start making my dog his meals. He has autoimmune disorders and my guess is that it comes from the dry kibble. Then he told me a place I must go online to get recipes and THEY practically scare you into purchasing their supplements in order to make the recipe. It’s nuts. I recall years ago giving our dogs leftovers and nobody was concerned and our dogs didn’t get immune disorders or cancer. I just want to know what the FDA has been doing besides making a lot money for themselves.
I really enjoyed your 2 truths/1 lie! Such fun learning about you. Also enjoyed seeing your weekly menu of foods. I have a non-keto family and eating with them can be interesting. I don’t get the comradeship at home but felt it with you. 👍🏽
Very interesting. I guessed right about the onion. When my daughter (now is almost 40 years old) was a toddler, she would walk up to her dad's plate while he was eating on the sofa and grab the sliced onions on his plate and eat them. We were amazed. We would definitely limit them, but she was NOT put off by them at all.
I loved the 2 truths and a lie. Keep doing it. I love when you tell us things about yourself. I always figured you must have been an engineer because you are so precise and thorough-for a lack of a better way to explain how I view engineers-maybe just so SMART would have sufficed. So, when you explained about your position -sorta like a mediator-It was fascinating. I would never have dreamed in a million years you liked getting your face bashed in, though. I bet you were a very challenging little boy with an inquiring mind. I don’t know how your parents could ever get mad at you though , because you have this sweet -disposition. I love your whole family. Terri is so sweet and soft spoken and gentle. Thank you for all your hard work making these videos.
Interesting and hilarious! Loved the Floyd story. Definitely tripped me up on this one, not that I didn't think you could have been a pro kick boxer....just thought we would have known it if you were. Pro for a day...love it!
Omg!! The Floyd story hade me literally lol! You are a GREAT story teller!! I enjoyed them so much!! Thank you!! I love your videos. You are the best, Steve.
I know this is old, but so I am. I liked this podcast and the other one on you being censored. We worked for the same company at some time. As the last toxicologist to be employed there, I approve this message for what it’s worth.
Coming back months later to say I LOVE sucralose so much, and in my humble opinion nothing ruins a sugar free product faster than swapping the sweetener over to stevia! Thanks for the great info that makes me feel even better about my love of sucralose (which, by the way, I probably consume 1 or 2 every few weeks anyway)
I seriously busted a gut, Steve and laughed so hard I cried 😂 Water - two quarts vs. the concentrated 260 gallons 🤣🤣💦🌊 So darn funny! Thanks for the video as always! 😊
I should have been listening to this on my headphones because my cat, Loki, was listening intently to your story about Floyd. I think I'm in trouble....
I use sucralose to sweeten my morning tea. I've been doing that since I gave up sugar about 15 years ago and I haven't had any GI issues. My other go-to is allulose; I can't wait for a study to dissuade us from using that one, too.
Thanks for a great video- if that’s the right terminology. I’m new to keto and find your channel informative, interesting, helpful and entertaining. Thanks Steve ❤😊
Sugar alcohols kill my stomach. I can’t use them. Whenever read labels I only choose allulose ( my go to), stevia glycerite ( not bitter). I infrequently use sugar free maple syrup but when I do, I look for sucralose as the sweetener. Keeps me out of the bathroom.
I really appreciate your detailed evaluations based on facts and real data. It is always best to make health decisions (or any decisions) based on proven data rather than opinions and I appreciate all the work you put into this so we don't have to spend all that time researching. Especially since you usually provide data sources we can review for ourselves if we choose. Thank you!! Loved the 2 truths and 1 lie - I totally got it wrong 😆
I love liquid Sucralose. If it's safe enough for 2KK, Chris Bair, you and others, it's safe enough for me. 2 drops sweetens almost anything! I think it definitely got it's bad rep because it was paired with Maltodextrin in the Splenda packets. ❤️🥰❤️
They tried vilifying sweet n low back in 1977 saying it caused cancer in laboratory rats. Decades later (1999) they had to admit they gave the rats an equivalent of a person drinking 800 diets sodas a day for a lifetime. So I guess "scientists" haven't improved on the so called "scientific method" in 45 years. Slow learners I guess.
Yes, I like the liquid too it doesn't have the maltodextrin. I don't like stevia or monk fruit, sucrulose is the only one I can tolerate. I do like erythritol, but the only liquid version I've seen is work stevia.
I must try the liquid Sucralose! So you’re saying (and I believe Steve did as well) that the Maltodextrin is what we really need to avoid, yes? Thanks for this tip! ☺️
@@stephanieilluzzi7355 yes, maltodextrin can spike blood sugars and has a lot of bad side effects they use it as a bulking agent (like he said). The liquid is more concentrated, so it doesn't need it. A little goes a long way!
I've had my Rec-Tec for over 4 years now and still love it. The computer was flooded by a Florida storm a couple years ago and they sent me a new board, even after I candidly admitted to forgetting to cover it. The only drawback to the smoker that I've encountered is the almost complete lack of smoke from the dripping fat and char since since the heat shield and drip pan are so effective in preventing that. So, there is some grilled flavor lost that way. But I think you will never tire of being able to put a big chunk of meat on in the evening and just going to bed, knowing the smoker will do it's thing all night. I'm sure other smokers are good too and I'm not disparaging them but the Rec-Tec is pretty awesome.
Finally, I meet someone else who prefers (or preferred) diet sodas over regular sodas, but because of taste rather than diabetes, weight loss, etc. I love sweet foods, but I've never been a fan of overly sweet beverages. Even as a skinny, healthy, Southern-raised kid, I preferred "somewhat" sweetened iced tea. My cousins, on the other hand, drank tea that was more like syrup! LOL!
I use this really good Lipton tea called Southern Sweet. I use half the bags needed for a gallon (2) since it's sweet to begin with. There is no maltodextrin in it. I then add 3 personal bags of decaf green tea and 2 bags of Orange spice tea. Tested my glucose and then drank 20 oz. 45 minutes later my glucose went down. And I'm a diabetic. So at least for me Sucralose does nothing to my blood sugar in the dose I use. Also Steve I saw your video on my side bar but didn't get an alert.
Hi Steve! Marla here from Iowa. Thank you so much for this video. Your information is always so valuable and informative. I have a friend who always tells me I’m going to die if I continue being on Keto. She tells me I should never drink diet drinks or use Keto Chow. I have one Keto chow for my last meal of the day. I only eat a meal between 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. I drink my Keto chow at around 5 or 5:30 p.m. as my last meal. I always wondered how much sucralose is in the little packets. So thank you for this information. I will continue with my Keto Chow. I have lost 105 pounds on Keto and have been on it since October 21, 2021. I’m still trying to lose 26 more pounds. They aren’t coming off as quickly. I have been stalled for several months now. But I have continued to lose inches. Keto has been great for me and my husband. I have cut down on my diet soda consumption and drink mostly water and Hot Cinnamon tea with no sugar or sugar substitute in it. I love my tea straight without additives. But I still drink a diet Dr. Pepper every now and then. I see your guitars in the background. Maybe you could play a song for us sometime. Again thank you for all you do to keep us informed. I appreciate you and your family. Marla
Your point on water is correct. A little over fifteen years ago, a radio station held a contest for a Nintendo console, and the contest was the contestants had to drink massive amounts of water. A person died because of it.
I also remember that. The amount of water got the sodium level in the blood to dilute out so low that the brain couldn’t function properly and went into a coma and then died cause it couldn’t signal the diaphragm to breathe.
Sucralose. I can't say that it *is* poison. But it is in the same class of compounds as some of the most toxic poisons made, Organohalides. But, as you correctly point out, the poison is in the dose. So, I stand firmly on the fence on this one.
I love my Sweet Solutions liquid sucralose I got from Amazon. I started out needing 10 drops in my 16 oz. coffee but now I can't do more than 5 drops. I also like zevia soda but I don't drink soda much and it is hard to find for me.
I need to go listen to the first one but listening to this I want to say THANK YOU a thousand times over for this. I saw that information from the WHO and I laughed. I’ve used Sucralose in one form or another since I’ve been eating this way (for seven years) and it’s NEVER been an issue. So thank you again for this!
I'm a sucralose fan. I have intestinal issues w some other non sugar sweetners. Thank you for this honest review of this article. Hilarious account of Floyd your cat!! Love it! 😂!❤
I was surprised to hear you're pro sucralose considering most in the keto community frown on it. To be fair, alot of the "community" thinks anything even partly artificial is terrible for you. I've been using sucralose in some form or other for over 10 years -- although since learning about Splenda I've since switched to pure sucralose powder. Sucralose , to me, is still the best tasting artificial sweetener, and I don't think it gives me any GI problems. Good video, as always, Steve.
Steve, you are one of the few youtuber's whose opinions I really respect. I personally think if there is any poison to avoid in food, it is Aspertame but while I avoid that 100%, I also have refused to consume Splenda based on what you just pointed out may well be hearsay. This is ironic because I am a nutjob with research on everything in my life; I'll spend 3 days down the rabbithole to find the "best" tires for my old beater, lol. I spend almost all of my free time helping friends research medical issues, treatments, or nutritional deficiencies but I'm skipping Splenda with ZERO personal research. Probably this stems from my natural distrust of big food companies and their tendency to not give a sh%t what they use that might hurt people. Nevertheless, I think I will reconsider this stance and do some research of my own now. The story I had heard was that a well designed human study measured the Splenda grams each individual ate (not an excessive amount like the mice, but "normal" usage amounts) and then evaluated their urine to see how much came out. Supposedly, Sucralose can't be absorbed by digestion which is why it is not adding calories, etc. But what goes in, must come out. I guess the study showed that you don't get rid of all of it and it slowly accumulates in your body causing unknown problems. Now, maybe this is complete BS or maybe there is a kernel of truth hidden in the study if it even actually exists! I am super curious now because of you. I have also been wondering lately about it because I notice that it says the same thing on the Allulose package about not being absorbed. And not to mention the words "Allulose" & "Sucralose" share the "ullose/allose" suffix and that makes me wonder about their molecular similarity.....I'm going to have to go in deep on this one, lol. I'll report back if I decide I can start hitting the Splenda hard after all this time! Thanks again Steve for all the effort you put into your videos!
This one DR. still working with heart patients, said anything that ends with LOSE should not be taken....that is why so many people are having GUT ISSUES...says STEVIA is your best bet....and another blog I watch she grows her own STEVIA PLANT and lets it dry and grinds it up fine to sweeten what she makes or drinks..... this is really the way to go....grow your own, that way you know where it came from and how it was made, no additives added, just the stevia plant....and keeps it after it's dried & ground in a glass jar....she is a homesteader and they grow over 90% of their own food......
The ad break was brought by Schlotzsky's. 😂 I also use sucralose in pure form. I've found that the kool-aid tastes right if I say that 1/16 tsp equals half a cup of sugar.
Interesting about Maltodextrin in the artificial sweeteners. I personally have an adverse reaction (extreme irritability-anger issues) when I consume highly refined sugar. I found I have the same issues when I accidentally consume maltodextrin. After being keto for several months, we made something with Splenda and my husband thought I had accidentally consumed refined sugar. It has a Jekyll/Hyde affect on me.
I picked kickboxing cuz I've never heard you talk about it but that was a great story wow I can't believe you went through that! I vote for more to truths and one untruth, Steve 😊
I switched to diet soda almost thirty years ago when they switched from cane sugar to high fructose corn syrup. I liked the taste better, and it wasn't sticky like syrup. It had NOTHING to do with losing weight at the time.
Steve! Let's be honest. You could make a video talking about your favorite movies and we'd eat that shit up! You are just a super likeable, chill, easy going guy that people love listening to. I love all your takes on everything because I feel the very same way on pretty much everything but you have a much more eloquent way of saying the opinions that I have!
Used to live in Farmington, MN which had the highest per-capita consumption of Mt. Dew. As a result, Pepsi sponsored our annual celebration. Mt. Dew has a double whammy. Highest acid level combined with the tendency to swish it around in the mouth longer. As a result there was tremendous tooth and gum decay. Locally it was called Mt. Dew mouth.
Your cat story I believe. They are so smart and have their own style of independence. I’m glad for Terri’s sake you’re done with the kick boxing circuit.
I'm so glad that you talked about Sucralose : I dislike the taste of Stevia and have been avoiding it. Although I have lost my taste for sweet, i have been trying erythritol in some recipe for my daughter who's trying to go keto but I not too happy with it. Fortunaly, I live in France and I have found a product with Sucralose that tastes really good, like sugar: it's 99.88% erythritol and 0.22% Sucralose. It's sweeter than sugar and ît's recommanded to use 1/2 the amount of sugar in a recipe, so it's end up to be cheaper than plain erythritol. I'm seriously suspecting that the Sucralose bashing is promoted secretly by Stevia to discredit a competitor. For those who would ask the name brand of this sweetener is Sugarly, it's available in Europe but I don't think it's sold in the USA
I really appreciated the part about splenda because I've tried monkfruit erythrital and allulose, I mostly gave up on them and reverted back to splenda because I use the least amount it taste the best and I don't eat much of it
Dr Wakeman addressed the WHO and sweeteners as well. I think they are in cahoots with the sugar industry. I don’t listen to them anymore. Appreciate your taking this on❤️ I love Floyd.
Im not sure why but I can tolerate any drink or food with sucralose except Ketchow. I get severe cramps and can't stay out of the bathroom for hours. I was told in a keto chow group that it's common if you drink it too fast. I tried very slowly and still same result. Any Ideas Steve?
That's odd. I tend to drink it fast enough to give me a brain freeze. I'm wondering if there's some other ingredient in there that's causing you issues. Have you tried any of their savory flavors? That would rule out the Sucralose. Also, all of the sweet flavors (and possibly the chicken soup) uses milk protein, whereas the beef soup uses beef protein. That would be one way to eliminate some possibilities.
I always liked onions, was a professional canoe racer, and have a chicken named Tunes. And I'm with you on sucralose - the poison is in the dose. I don't eat sweet things every day anyway and anything super rigid provokes an oppositional reaction in me and I have to break the rule. Or at least I keep wanting to. Tonight is sous vide baby back ribs - haven't made the sauce yet.
I never liked diet soda. I have tried a few artificial sweeteners and discovered I just don’t like the after taste they leave. I don’t eat milk chocolates, too sweet, only dark chocolate that is at least 60%. I quit eating many processed foods because of the amount of sugar in them! Now I am trying to figure out what sweetener to use for some of the recipes. If anyone has any suggestions, I am open to hear them! This is my second video that I watched here, the first being your chaffles. Love your input!
I switched from regular soda to diet decades ago. Eventually, I figured out that I still like soda sweetened with sugar, but not soda sweetened with corn syrup. My husband is allergic to processed corn, especially syrup, so there's that, too. We don't drink much soda now.
You are so right. People are going to criticize you no matter what you do. I do things different than the next person. That doesn’t make me right or wrong. It makes me doing what I do that works for me. What I do is carnivore and I walk almost every morning and I come home and do weights/Bands. Everybody has a different schedule of what they’re doing in a day. I have to go to my moms at 9 o’clock in the morning and make sure she gets breakfast and everything because she has dementia and she’s just not quite with it these days. I’m very busy. I have to shop for her. I have to cook for her. I have to water her yard. By the time I get back home, I have to do my own stuff. We eat very simply there are no recipes. It’s just meat and maybe a side dish for my husband. I eat eggs to.
The game was fun. Interesting reaction to your previous podcast, what folks liked or disliked. On looking like you were in Fight Club....My husband and I used to shoot clay targets every weekend at a gun club We loaded our own shot shells and every now and then, a double load would drop in a shell. This resulted in a kickback on my shotgun that popped me in the face, every time it happened. Then on Monday I would keep getting asked if I had dirt on my cheek to which I replied no, it is a bruise from my hobby.
Came up with a great recipe but found the moistened coconut has sugar so need to find a new way to moisten the coconut myself rather than buy it moistened. I got a really good recipe, really good but yeah sweetener is a problem needs solving. We need to learn more on the details about sweeteners.
The whole ordering a diet soda with fast food thing to "balance things out"....was a thing. 😂. It was a compromise...you still got the fizz & caffeine hit. At aome point I had to switch from real to diet when i ate 🍕. For some reason, the sugar soda & pizza cheese combined to upset my stomach. Early years = clueless. I wish i knew thrn what i know now.
I’m a new diabetic and resisted sucralose skinny coffee syrups after a bit I was brave enough to see if it spiked my blood sugar. Negligible so I use it rarely for coffee. I’m a coffee nerd so mostly I like my coffee unsweetened.
@@SeriousKeto Yes I tried them I don't like them much. I know the problem, it's cheese I like it much more than meat. I have to give it up, I put all my cheese in the freezer. So, I shall see in a few weeks if there is a weight change. Keep the Videos coming. Thank you.
@@doloresdrury8018 I asked because usually when someone tells me their weight has stalled, it’s because they’re eating lots of low carb bread and tortillas.
Thank you so much Steve, I don't eat a lot of the breads at all, Being I do count total carbs, and not Net. I truly believe it's the cheese, its a true challenge for me. I will stop the cheese for a month and see what happens. Happy Keto! @@SeriousKeto
I love what I eat in a day videos. It's interesting to see the timings, snacks and meals. I think snacks and timing can both influence overall blood sugar control and health. I think you should stay real. Critics are always louder on social media so please dont worry. Maybe you should offer to review a viewer's what i eat in a day!!?
Steve, per your segment on the 'what you eat in a week' and the responses. My question would be to those whose interest goes too far in the minutia of your life: Why would you possibly care...or need to know that? The cat story had me in stitches, so hilarious. Cats are odd creatures and crafty. Oh, so crafty.
was hoping this was going to start with a discussion of Pete Townsend's guitar style. I automatically do the exact opposite of what the World Health Org says to do. This makes this a conundrum because I quit all artificial sweeteners over a year ago. Kind of feel like I need to start using them again if WHO says not to.
I used to drink diet coke. Regular soda was too sweet. But mostly I wanted to eat my calories not drink them.
Corporate trainer, kickboxer, chef, social media star, cat foil.. .. you're quite the Renaissance man, Steve.

Exactly! That's why it's so hard for me to trust any study they do or information they spread. You can't trust these "experts"
Well said and can't agree more!!
Yes fighting the chemical food industry by consuming their chemical sweets 👏🏻👏🏻🥇👏🏻🤡
Yes you're right. Drink every chemical they sell you because you're a sugar addict. You're fighting the system.
You’re such a great storyteller! Love your content!
Appreciate your information Steve…
Omg!! The Floyd story hade me literally lol! You are a GREAT story teller!! I enjoyed them so much!! Thank you!!
I love your videos. You are the best, Steve.
A kick boxer too! I would not have guessed that. I do enjoy the 2 truths and 1 untruth...keep 'em coming Steve!
I love the kickboxing story! What a great time you must have had. Way to stretch yourself!!!
Thanks Steve, once again!
I like the stories game, it's fun. Thanks for another great podcast Steve.
I seriously busted a gut, Steve and laughed so hard I cried 😂
Water - two quarts vs. the concentrated 260 gallons 🤣🤣💦🌊
So darn funny!
Thanks for the video as always! 😊
I should have been listening to this on my headphones because my cat, Loki, was listening intently to your story about Floyd. I think I'm in trouble....
Thx for the sucralose comments. I use it daily and when I saw the study headline, I was mildly concerned.
I use sucralose to sweeten my morning tea. I've been doing that since I gave up sugar about 15 years ago and I haven't had any GI issues. My other go-to is allulose; I can't wait for a study to dissuade us from using that one, too.
Oh, it’s coming - I have no doubt. They just need to feed to mice a pound of it per day. 🤪
You have good instincts. Keep your content using your reasonable thinking.
Thanks for a great video- if that’s the right terminology. I’m new to keto and find your channel informative, interesting, helpful and entertaining. Thanks Steve ❤😊
Babies can't live without their sweets 🤣🤡
Maybe it's a conspiracy to make profit by NOT selling their chemical sweets they put in everything including medicines and those healthy vitamins.
Loved your story about the kick boxing
Babies and their sweet addiction.
We have had our Recteq for almost a year now and boy do we love it! Can’t wait for your reviews and hopefully recipes.
I agree with your mild drawbacks. Fortunately, I also have a Kamado-style grill if I want to get that charcoal/smoke combo.
Thanks for the great stories! What a fun episode. I’d love to hear more Floyd stories.
I will need to look for that. Thanks for the heads up.
@@SeriousKeto It's showing up now on my alerts. Maybe youtube is just slow.
Marla
Everything you say is interesting. Keep up the great work 👍
Enjoy all you intelligent individuals breaking things down for me!!
At 1:45, seriously spit out/choked on a big gulp of my LMNT 🤣🤪
Floyd sounds like the coolest cat ever😂. Thanks for all the content Steve.
I was bummed when Diet Pepsi quit using sucralose
Dr Boz - the ad break... 😄
Loved the stories of Floyd and kickboxing experiences!
Your point on water is correct. A little over fifteen years ago, a radio station held a contest for a Nintendo console, and the contest was the contestants had to drink massive amounts of water. A person died because of it.
Yikes.
I remember that!
I also remember that. The amount of water got the sodium level in the blood to dilute out so low that the brain couldn’t function properly and went into a coma and then died cause it couldn’t signal the diaphragm to breathe.
Your story about Floyd gave me a much needed chuckle 😂 Loved the stories. Love your channel.
Amen, Steve! YOU DO YOU Y'ALL! Have a blessed week 💜 🙏 ✌️ 🌞 💐 🎶
Sucralose. I can't say that it *is* poison. But it is in the same class of compounds as some of the most toxic poisons made, Organohalides. But, as you correctly point out, the poison is in the dose. So, I stand firmly on the fence on this one.
I love KetoChow! 🎉
Love it! 😂!❤
Xylitol is the one that wrecks me "down there". 😬
A lot of people in the keto community can be awfully dogmatic and just regurgitate what their chosen influencer tells them is “approved”.
I didn't know Schlotzsky's still existed...
Wow! Love the stories!
Thanks Steve, I appreciate your discussion on sucralose. Love your channel keep up the good work.
I picked kickboxing cuz I've never heard you talk about it but that was a great story wow I can't believe you went through that! I vote for more to truths and one untruth, Steve 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Glad I watched this, had just heard about the DNA thingy, you put things back into perspective for me, Thanks!!
Going through the drive thru...
"Can have a double burger with extra sauce, large onion rings, large fries, apple pie and, and a large Diet coke.
Wow, thanks. 😊
Pathetic
Used to live in Farmington, MN which had the highest per-capita consumption of Mt. Dew. As a result, Pepsi sponsored our annual celebration. Mt. Dew has a double whammy. Highest acid level combined with the tendency to swish it around in the mouth longer. As a result there was tremendous tooth and gum decay. Locally it was called Mt. Dew mouth.
That is a really interesting story. Thanks for sharing.
Your cat story I believe. They are so smart and have their own style of independence. I’m glad for Terri’s sake you’re done with the kick boxing circuit.
Do you know how much Sucralose Premier uses in their protein shakes?
I'm not familiar with Premier.
I don’t like stevia unless it is organic. The organic is great tasting for some reason.
Yes, stevia, A PLANT, is conspiring. Also one that's just as hormonal disruptor as sucralose and all others.
I think they're in cahoots with the mealworm for human food industry 😂
@@SeriousKeto I'll give it a shot! Thanks
Love the t-shirt. Those were great stories.
I've really gravitated toward allulose for most recipes. A small percentage of people experience gastrointestinal issues from it, though.
I switched from regular soda to diet decades ago. Eventually, I figured out that I still like soda sweetened with sugar, but not soda sweetened with corn syrup. My husband is allergic to processed corn, especially syrup, so there's that, too. We don't drink much soda now.
Does sucralose break a fast if you're intermittent fasting? I've read conflicting statements. Thanks!
I don't know. There's no shortage of conflicting statements on anything related to fasting, it seems.
@@SeriousKeto you've got that right...lol
Oh have you had anyone contact you about doing voice overs etc.
No, but I'd be open to it. 🙂
Which flavor of Zevia is your favorite? I've tried a couple, but they were just ok. Maybe I haven't tried the best one yet...
I lean towards grape and orange, because they remind me of my childhood.
That's funny
Came up with a great recipe but found the moistened coconut has sugar so need to find a new way to moisten the coconut myself rather than buy it moistened. I got a really good recipe, really good but yeah sweetener is a problem needs solving. We need to learn more on the details about sweeteners.
From a 35 year cat person, I enjoyed Floyd's story. I could tell my own stories of me trying to outwit my first cat (via marriage).
Please share one, sure he won't mind....
Grew up in Janesville and went to Happy Joe's there many times!
We also had a siamese cat named Floyd named after Pink Floyd in 1976. He once pulled a turntable off the shelf. He also liked pot!
All of that sort of ties together. 😃
Appreciated your take on Sucralose. Enjoyed 2 truths, 1 lie.
I’m a new diabetic and resisted sucralose skinny coffee syrups after a bit I was brave enough to see if it spiked my blood sugar. Negligible so I use it rarely for coffee. I’m a coffee nerd so mostly I like my coffee unsweetened.
I'm glad you tested on yourself. 👍
Hi Steve, I am so upset. My weight have not changed for a month. I do use artificial sweetener's. Should I stop?
Are you eating any keto bread or tortilla products?
Thank you-
I love what I eat in a day videos.
Yeah, I can't think of anyone that I'm interested enough in to care what their whole day looks like.
was hoping this was going to start with a discussion of Pete Townsend's guitar style. I automatically do the exact opposite of what the World Health Org says to do. This makes this a conundrum because I quit all artificial sweeteners over a year ago. Kind of feel like I need to start using them again if WHO says not to.
