In the bookfolding and craft cafe facebook group we had a post every thursday where people showed their favourite folds and the posts photo had a similar book fold to this and people kept asking how to make it so I worked it out and called it 'That Thursday Fold' :)
Hi Cheryl, Vicky has videos of a few different types of the kusudama. You'll find her videos here :) ua-cam.com/channels/uR_Bxb2ZBFw8S66C1UawhQ.htmlvideos Happy folding! Jo x
What is the length of the book if I may ask? The book on getting ready to do is 23.3 cm (if this is mentioned, and I just didn’t catch it, I apologize.)
Hi Marylin, this book was a short one, 20cm I think. To make it look more central you can divide the heighy by 4. So 23.3 / 4 is 5.8 Your first mark would be 5.8 Then add 5.8 = 2nd mark 11.6cm Then add another 5.8 = 3rd/bottom mark 17.4cm So 5.8cm 11.6cm 17.4 cm Are your 3 points You can even try 4 points 23/5 =4.6 (I ignored the .3 on this one as it would create 2 decimal places) 4.6cm 9.2cm 13.8cm 18.4cm Happy Folding! Jo 💜
Bonjour merci pour les explications pour le pliage du livre ou je suis un peu déçue c'est de ne pas avoir la suite . Comment vous avez fait les fleurs et comment vous les avez placées. Merci cordialement
I have a video showing how to cover a book ua-cam.com/video/hEJiPqJ7VOY/v-deo.html or if you are just wanting to cover the spine then I use a length of ribbon :)
Could’ve been a little clearer about the second half of the book being folded in the opposite direction to fold. Also….I wanted to see how the flowers were done?!?!?!?
Love this, but it would help if you paused after each of the first few folds so we could see how it is supposed to look. Your hands hide it and you move on to the next fold without hesitation.
So pretty!!🤩
Fantastic! I am going to do Z & A in a book for my wife for valentines day!

Hi Marylin, this book was a short one, 20cm I think.
To make it look more central you can divide the heighy by 4.
So 23.3 / 4 is 5.8
Your first mark would be 5.8
Then add 5.8
= 2nd mark 11.6cm
Then add another 5.8
= 3rd/bottom mark 17.4cm
So
5.8cm
11.6cm
17.4 cm
Are your 3 points
You can even try 4 points
23/5 =4.6 (I ignored the .3 on this one as it would create 2 decimal places)
4.6cm
9.2cm
13.8cm
18.4cm
Happy Folding!

Oops, it's posted from a different email but it is me Jo from All in the folds 😆🫣
If I wanted it to be masculine, could I not add the flowers & do more of the folds in the book?
Do you have to be good at reading a ruler? I’m not good at it .
Thank you

Hi I have asked a few but no reply, have you any tips for covering the book spine please as I seem to ruin the whole thing when I try
use tonic nuvo mousse on spine, covers really well, also great for page edges and book edges
I have a video showing how to cover a book ua-cam.com/video/hEJiPqJ7VOY/v-deo.html or if you are just wanting to cover the spine then I use a length of ribbon :)
How do I get the pages to sit open like in the video? I have made my flowers but the book won't stay propped open, any suggestions?
Great video but how do you insert the flowers?
Rhona Briggs They're glued to the pages :)
Thank you for your reply will try and glue them in :)
