I believe that Michael Landon was put on this earth to make that wonderful program. Almost 50 years later, is is still loved by millions around the world. God bless all the people who made Little House on the Prairie.
You're so right. I need little house on the prairie to fall asleep, afterwards I start to dream about nice things
I think even after he has passed away,he's achieved more and more fans. They
were the best crew!Really lucky to be able to see the show every now and
then.
R.I.P. Michael and the super cast who gave us the fabulous moments.
Though I loved him on little house, it really did me in to find out what a jerk he really could be...
So true. Well said. He Certainly made my childhood better. ❤️🌹
@@annikataufer5463 Thank you for sharing that.❤️🌹That's Beautiful

Me every chance I get i love it
I had to buy the whole seasons I still watch the show on regular channels and I grew up watching my show and never gets old in my eyes
There will never be another Michael Landon.Through his shows, he taught us how to be better human beings.Kids actually had a role model to look up to. Those days are long gone since his passing & no one has even come close to matching his talents. A sign of the times
I couldn't agree more, Michael is my biggest idol. Not only he had a very big talent in his job, he was also a great, great man. He is truly missed.
We're in the last days now!
The world will be better place if we make wholesome family shows like these that cater to
family values with class and decency!
Satan has slithered his way into the current programs because he knows his days are almost up.
Words cannot describe how beautiful and meaningful Little House is. It’s a work of art, and nothing in modern television comes close.
You got that right.
I concur! It is my absolute favorite show of all time. I'll be 52 in November so I have been watching since I was a little girl!
52 years old and after a stressful day I still watch all the little house episodes. A Classic for all times!
So much work went into that production. Little House and The Waltons, can't be touched.
Love this show. Each member of the cast did a magnificent acting performance. It’s the kind of show you never get tired of watching.
Michael had the best natural smile of all times .Rest in Peace Michael
Agreed... !
Barry Gibb and Taco.
Yep
True.
And when he cried in most scenes he was reliving true life events from his own past.
Some people say he left too early, that the world needs more people like him. I think he went back home because he finished his mission. That series was.
I started watching it as a young girl in 1974 and I haven't stopped! It's now October 2020 😊
Little House was a wonderful family show. I miss those days of innocent, and family values. Although many of the older actors have passed, I still miss the wholesome of the show. The shows of today are just awful, I don't watch many of them due to content and language. Thanks for the memories.
Thanks for your comment! If I may suggest a show that I watch and doesn't contain most of the content you dislike : "This Is Us". Broadcast by NBC, currently on season 4. It's a great family show about triplets in their thirties and we get to see what was their childhood and teenage years like, and how events they went through led them to behave the way they do as adults. It's very deep and emotional and it will bring a lot of mixed feelings to you. :)
I love this show so very much Michael Landon and all of his family became part of me I felt they were my family they were good wholesome kind loving the Lord I am so grateful I got to see this and to share with my children. I still watch it it makes me happy it also makes me grieve for only I wish I was in a family like theirs
I still wAtch it on hallmark and I have the dvds. Been watching for at least 40 years, never get sick of it.
Watch them everyday now. This show is on with The Walton's, Dr. Quinn Medicine Women, and Touch by an Angel, with Little House, thanks to Hallmark Channel! They show them multiple time in the day!
I really enjoyed watching the prairie stories as a child and still loving them. Michael Landon was an absolute genius to lead this wonderful creation. We are blessed by an amazing production team and highly talented cast most of them are small children. I want to thank all of them for the JOY they brought to our lives. May god bless you all. Rest in eternal peace you lovely Michael Landon and other members of the amazing crew who left our world leaving us to enjoy this masterpiece. ❤❤❤
So grateful Micheal Landon decided to read the book and then decided to make an unforgettable series about. Rip Michael Landon. Dabbs Greer victor French. 😘
When it feels familiar, then it is high quality. A series directly seeded in all of our hearts.
*R. I. P. Michael* 🙏
Little House will always be my favorite TV show ever...but seeing Kathryn McGregor as not only Harriet but seeing her as her beautiful self just made my heart melt! I grew up with all of them and they will forever remain in my heart as Nels, Harriet, Laura, Mary...well you get my point :).
I feel the same way. I'm 18 so I knew LHOP many years after the end of the show but I always enjoyed watching it and to me it feels today such as it felt when I was about 6. it reminds me so many emotions, experiences... Great show. Thank you for watching my video. :)
I have watched episodes of Little House on the Prairie many times. Families and people were the focus of their lives. Maybe if we had not lost sight of these values our world would be a much better place today.
I don't think we lost those values, I think society is trying to tell us we must have. But you're right, the world would be a better place if we could remind ourselves what's really good in us. ;-)
Little house at no prior p
John Keating Amen to that!
Miro little house y me traslado alos 70 es un film extraordinario
You said it all there!
I grew up watching this show in the 70s& 80s. I grew up in Simi valley, and as kids we would hike up to the set take pics and beg for water from some of the crew. They would ask how we came in, and when we told them we came straight up the mountain they were very sympathetic to our needs. Being kids we never thought about bringing our own water on the hike. The buildings were all there and we walked into some and even fished in one of the ponds. This was in the early 80s.
Rod Boyce That must be such nice memories... thank you for sharing this story!
You're so lucky! Wow I always wondered what it would be like to walk through the Olsens store and the Ingalls family home on set! I bet you were so excited! 😍
I read that the "ponds" were not real and a water engine was used. And that the interior was filmed in the film studio just the outside was filmed on location there.
Did you ever meet any of the cast members during one of your hikes?? How very cool!
Wonderful show, Michael Llandon was a great actor and an even better producer/director. They should have more shows like that today, every show had a message, not like the junk that is on television today.
I couldn't agree more :-) Michael Landon is my biggest idol. There's no one like him in the industry :)
Well said💞
My favorite show ever
@Michele Ellis Simply put, they could not make a show like this today. Hollywood and the TV industry are too far gone.
There is a reason way so many channels on cable are popping up that show only old shows like this and appear to be doing well.
@Michele Ellis As long as people still want to watch them, they'll keep playing them as long as they can keep commercial revenue coming in.
Obviously someone things there still a market for these old shows. A current market of viewers tired of the garbage that's put out now.
Me!!!! DVR LHOTP, Bonanza and HTH everyday!!! Loved Michael’s work, artistry and heart. Still miss him today. Will never forget his announcement. What a classy man!!!
What a wonderful show Michael Landon created - where have those times gone? Can;t believe it is almost 40 years ago now since the shows were first broadcast. Loved the fact there was a real family atmosphere about the show, where you had the feeling that everyone was part of a family both behind the scenes and in front of the camera.
The best Tv Series ever put on TV !! my kids and I loved this show ,we felt as part of their Family--Charles was the father we men all wished we could be !
I understand that! as kids we all wished we had a father like Charles... thank you for your comment :)
Then, be that father (in your own way). It is never too late either. ♡
I can't wait to see Michael Landon when I get to Heaven !!😇
I watch Little house to this day. I watch Bonanza also. Love everything you did! I always loved your acting. Rip Michael. God bless your family!
Highway to Heaven was great too. I seldom finished the show without tears in my eyes. Sometimes I wonder if he really was an angel😇
Yes it was ! I know LHOTP better though. :)
I wonder it too haha. To me Michael is an angel. :)
Don Avan I’ve wondered if they were both exposed to the same thing that caused cancer?
Pretty sure he was....and still is
@@AmyJackson-_-85 well have you read the thing where it says that Little House on the Prairie set may have caused Michael Landon cancer because of nuclear bombs siding that happened in the 50s there? Kind of weird that Victor French dies at 54 in 1989 then he dies in 54 and 1991 and then I also read somewhere but I cannot find it now that Patrick Swayze was also in that area and filmed a film there?
I enjoyed this video very much...it was like meeting an old friend and getting reacquainted all over again.
Irene Veal Thank you for commenting! :-)
Little House on the Prairie, mid to late 1800's, The Waltons, mostly late 1920's to post WW11. Maybe that's where we begin looking for ourselves again: Family, friends, God, and country. I am getting the feeling now that millions of us are looking in that direction.
daydreammountaingirl yes. The wonderful days of old. Television at it's best.
daydreammountaingirl it sure would be nice if they would bring back some wholesome tv shows. I absolutely adored this show when I was a kid!
Well said!

It's just EXTRAORDINARY !
I liked this movie as a child & I still like it as a 54-year old man.
I get you :) I am 19 and discovered the series when I was 6. I have never stopped watching it since. to me it is by far the greatest show that has never been aired in the history of television. thank you for commenting !
not sure what you mean "that has NEVER been aired"????
+orgonko the wildly untamed I meant "ever". Not a native speaker sorry

This series was a big part of my childhood and I love it to this very day. Everytime they re-run it I watch it. And yes, it always makes me a bit nostalgic. This show is quality family entertainment. You really can not compare it with nowadays junk. Not even a bit.
Thank for this uplod. Made my day.
There will never be another to equal this level of excellence.. Thank You Mr Landon(rip) and to the whole cast for bringing Walnut Grove Alive for us in the 70s and for generations to come... God Bless You All
days when tv viewing was worth watching with the whole family....wholesome , and fulfilling...these days I dont even want to turn on my tv
Aww love this show I can see every single episode over and over again I recorded ever episode and I’m still watching it in 2021 excelent actors rest in paradise michel landon 🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
one of my favorite shows of all time, and one of the greatest to ever grace television
Couldn't agree more Mark! thank you!
This production must be the best or one of the best of all time. Thank you all, and especially Michael Landon. RIP
Awwww....so bitter sweet & watching this video brought me back to their time. I immensely enjoyed watching the "behind the scene" & now got to appreciate more the hard work & dedication each member had put themselves into the making of this TV Show. I miss Melissa being a little girl & Michael Landon as her middle age TV father. I think they're the main Characters but its so nice to see the other cast who had their share in this movie. They had entertained "living room" families through the years & when I was watching the show on TV, I never missed an episode. Today, we still miss Michael Landon & our hearts are still sadden by his passing even after all this years since he's left us. WHAT A GREAT SHOW!~~~SHERLOCK
Hi Sherlock ! thank you for this comment ! you're completely right about how much we miss Michael Landon... :)
I still find it hard to believe that Mike and victor french are no longer on this earth. Wonderfully talented men.
Till today's.. Still watched the show. The best.
Im a huge fan of Michael Landon and Mellisa Gilbert loved them on Little House
this is my favorite show of all times. there's never been one like it or even remotely compare to it. there wasn't one back then, there isn't one now, and there'll never be one like it. it's funny and probably a lot of people would think I'm crazy but I also grew up being poor, in a farm and in a small town just like this one.... with the same type of limited commodities... if you can call them that.... everything was limited "everything"!!!!! I grew up in a very poor third world country. but that was the happiest time of my life. we had nothing that most people have now..... even the ones who call themselves "poor". I really miss that i wish i could have those years back. specially now when i see what technology and our selves are doing to our world. all this chaos, and destruction around us.... everything is different and bad. I rather be living with no phones, cars, television, electricity, technology and have my little house on a Prairie and a family just like that......with the same heart, that same spirit, kindness, humbleness, love, humanity and, the same believes.
I'm sure the world would be a different and better place to live in.
That music makes me happy. Thanks
You're welcome ;-D !
@@demeko96 que hermoso video! Lo disfrute mucho! Y la musica muy hermosa, puedes decirme como se llaman las canciones y quienes la cantan? Gracias por este hermoso video. Saludos de Perú.
What a treasure trove of photos. So many of these episodes and scenes I remember. Then to see them with cameras and an entire crew standing there. Love the ones with "Laura" and "Nellie Olson" and "Mrs. Olson" cutting up and laughing together. Priceless. Thanks so much for sharing. LL
I'm proud to own all the Little House seasons....😘

It’s just me Amen!! We do too... we just bought the whole box Set!!! ☺️☺️👍👍
How much did pay for it?
Seven Francois $75.00 for the whole box set actually! 👍👍
So beautiful 💕 thank you!
Lately I started watching at least one episode of Little House on the Prairie daily. It reminds me of my childhood and gives me comfort inside. Television 📺 is not what it used to be, and watching Little House warms my heart ♥️ each time!
I loved this show. Still is my favorite. Brought back so many memories.
Where have those times gone? So long ago that it doesn't seem possible that it was real. So far removed from today's complex world & "reality" crap.
+Marty Howe Agree... !
melanielandon96 I agree also
Well it was a different century and we do all have to admit that once this Century happened or so since 9/11 it completely changed
I've worked in living history museums and when I was in 1870's mode I often thought of this show in my mind as an inspiration; every village I worked in was a Walnut Grove in my mind. Such a powerful show for teaching us what is actually important in life how to be the best people possible in a peaceful and beautiful place in history.
I always loved little house on the prarie.
From the very begining in 1974 it was a wonderful show and i still watch it today 2020.
Thanks so much michael.
RIP.
Love love ❤️it's so weird seeing behind the scenes. Deep down inside of me I still think the show, the town, and the characters are real!!. It's such a huge part of my life. I can't get enough of it and watch reruns all the time still. Yesterday's episode was the election with Elmer Dobkins, one of my faves!! LHOTP forever!!!

Michael Landon was a true class act ! The memories this video brings back. Thanks for the upload !
A timeless classic! ❤
Una serie que enseñaba valores, algo que ya no existe en la television , saludos desde buenos aires argentina
Perfect casting is what made little house so brialliant...even the theme tune makes the hair stand on the back of my neck. Mellisa Gilberts acting was so convincing...she could teach today's young actors a thing or two, brilliant.
Agree!
Thank you.
This the first time I have seen these pictures and it is such a joy to see behind the scenes of a TV Series that I loved as much as I loved reading the "Little House" books as a child. Thank you for putting this together.
Hi ! thank you for your comment. It's a pleasure. ;-)
The show is timeless.
I remember watching it as a kid after coming home from school, back in the 1980s.
I have always loved this program and am so grateful to still be able to watch.
Though watching this hit home for me. These kids gave up a huge amount of their childhoods to make this show happen. I hope they were compensated well and feel like it was worth it all.
Blessings to the cast and families always! 🙏
My favorite tv show!!I grew up watching 'Little house on the prairie' every afternoon on tv and I 'm still watching it ,here in Greece! Thanks for sharing this amazing collection of' behind the scenes' photos...great job!! 😊
Thanks for posting and nicely done. This brought back so many fond memories for me. I didn't catch every episode but I will never forget the theme music. RIP Michael Landon.

:D when I'm blue and sad it makes me cry too. ;-)
demeko96 so you think we cry just when we are sad ..!!! mat be these tears just a reminder how nice and innocent memories we have ...
hope4ever Nope, I was speaking for myself. LHOP makes me cry when I'm sad because I'm too young to have these 70s memories.
Did any one else cry in the very last episode when they blew up the town? Oh my goodness, that's so emotional😢 Anyways,
I love the music in this tribute💞 love the behind the scenes photos
Jo Heidi still cry every time I watch it ;) thanks!
i did cry. still watching the show everyday
Monday nights at 8:00! Great memories. What a quality show. Such a shame that Michael Landon died so young. He sure knew how to tell a story. Thanks for the rare pics. My faves were the closeup one of Melissa G. leaning over Michael with his Charles Ingalls hat on and her braids hanging down. Also loved the one of Melissa and Ray Bolger. It's easy to forget all the great guest stars that popped up on that show!
TheClassica91 Classic Thank you for that comment! One of my favorite too. It's always nice to meet other fans of the show!
I watch this show over and over, the times are so nastalgic I love the simple and basic lives we use to live shows like this brings it back to my remembrance, there was respect, people stood by their word, we worked and didn't expect handouts and we allowed God in our lives, we prayed, I miss those kinda times.....
You and me both
That show was masterful. I watched it regularly as a child and now in my forties find comfort watching it again regularly.
The cast of Little House on the Prairie will ALWAYS have a place in my heart and home!!! I love this show and will continue to watch it daily!!! Thanks so much for sharing this video it only makes me 😃!!! We should love each other no matter where you were born. ❤ Michael Landon!!!

today still on Dutch television. I love this serie.
Still on French tv too ! that's great :)
Not yet in Indonesia
I cannot express the love I have for this show & how I feel that the acting especially the child actors like Melissa Gilbert were soo underrated! Their acting was so overly realistic! Phrnomenal❤
Michael Landon was one of my favorite actors. When he passed it was heartbreaking. Everyone that loved him and the family programs he created will always be #1 !
Hermosa serie.. Michael Landon❤️ el mejor! No hay otro como él.. Rest in peace❤️❤️❤️
My new antidepressant during these crazy days.
Absolutely wonderful! The joy of family with all the struggles and a journey back in time. David Rose's theme song is a brilliant stroke that fits the time, the beauty and sweetness of all those memories.

I wish If we all could travel back in time and watch it when we were all kids.
Me too let's go
In 1975, I was already becoming 20 years old...
Michael Landon's talent in putting together a show t g at continues to hold a place in our hearts was a gift from God. Miss his presence... miss his work. And miss his heartfelt devotion in everything he did. GOD bless him.. rip, Little Joe. We loved you...and still do....
Absulutely beautiful,my favorite programe on tv when I was a kid.Michael was a brilliant actor and a sincere warm man and he only selected the best actors for this timeless show, thank you for the memories :)
That was a great show
Jeff Donaldson Indeed! :-)
These characters were like family to me growing up. Weird, huh?
Not at all.
Craig Smith no.
They were to a lot of us and some of us even more than our own parents I guess it's just the time of TV.
I don't think it is weird. There are a lot of people who only had a tv show to help them find comfort.
How special to have all of these memories...I grew up with this show and this is just beautiful 💛
Awesome show, i'm still watching as a child with my family over and over again... they like so much... thanks to Michael for bring us this story
Great actor Michael Landon, Melissa gilbert and Victor french .
I am Indonesian.. but we watched when i was child and recently HITS channel playing the series again. I really thankful my parents let me watched this series so i know which is bad and good to do or say, also i can speak english fluent since young because this series,at that time not really much western series in my country. Hope there are producers who would make series like this again, there is education about life, manner, relationship, how to solve and act when we have problem or other has problem, also spiritual. God bless for Michael landon and all cast
Never watched much as a kid, I am now a 60 yr old woman, started watching during pandemic, was hospitalized for 3 months, now have 45 yr old husband watching, we are hooked

what a wonderful tribute to both little house and Michael Landon and also all the crew behind him , his serie was a mile stone worhty to reach .
watching a video like this one takes me back to the years in mind , the clothes , the actors , and the music , god , what a show . Michael sure left a heritage full with love for people to watch long after he left us , may he rest in peace and the others from the show who also passed .Many thanks for the upload melanielandon96 , regards from sweden.
I read the books as a child..loved the show..so in last 2 weeks I binged watched all 9 seasons including the 3 movies for tv..brought back good memories..was laughing so hard at some the episodes especially Mrs. Olson's shanagans. Caroline didn't play with her though. Also loved to seen when "pa" Michael Landon would be laughing so hard about things that happen.
It must have been an amazing experience to have been part of this show...
that's what everyone says indeed ! :)
well if you ever watched an interview with Melissa she said she flubbed her lines & Michael said something to the effect "it's ok but DONT do it again" & she knew by his look if she did she'd been replaced
+orgonko the wildly untamed And so what? If you really watch Melissa's interviews you should also know how important this series has been in her life. Just because she was yelled at some times (she worked on the show for 10 years, of course it must have been bad times), it doesn't mean it was not an amazing experience at the end.
@@orgonkothewildlyuntamed6301 ..she also learned years later that her screen test was the only one out of hundreds he took with him
