Dirt Trax, I definitely enjoyed the videos on the build, yall should do some with a Rubicon 500, Textron 500, or a Sportsman 570. Bring something a bit more conservative but with more detail on the work done. For the DIY guys. If I had a bigger budget and as many subs as yall do, I'd do one.
To let you all know a can am xmr is probably one of the most common mud quad could run you around 10-15 thousand dollars depending what you put on it on when you are picking parts. And even after decking an xmr out online it is still going to need way more parts to keep it in shape. The quads you see on ostacrusier and at races like these are highly modified and very far stock.
It isn't on a budget at all at that point. They went with a full service. Axles, radiator, tires and wheels, snorkels, new rear diff, strengthened steering??? I mean, to an extent, it is on a budget. If your budget is 4-5 times as much as your initial purchase on the quad...
I think your prices are off. Also in you're vids it shows a stm primary and secondary being installed. That's 2000 bucks atleast and I'm sure you have mr rpm cams in there too.
dash 11 i know..i thought and noticed same thing..no mention of cams..there 300$. and like u say stm all around $2000.glad i wasnt the only one that noticed
I have a lot of these accessories on my bike STM clutches to Grand plus tax and shipping... Rhino axles he mentioned the same thing again 199 each plus tax and shipping... I daresay his budget was a little off🤣 but damn I bet you she workz good
Good call. I'm tired of brain washed can am riders. Each manufacturer excels in certain areas. None trump all . But dont tell that to a bombardier owner . Holly .....lol
Alex Durand you’re way off. 850 makes around 55-60 on the dyno. There’s a big difference between engine hp and wheel horsepower. There’s an incredible amount of power lost through the CVT, hence why clutches are so popular
LITMM lol..i seen greg bolted on an stm for dyno tuning..but it was never mentioned on the price breakdown and as we all know is a MAJOR factor of a build like this and should be mentionec and piced as part of this build for full disclosure.
Charles Corwin definitely a pretty penny. But, like he said, you pick up a 1k xmr or highlifter, and you've got to immediately dump two or three grand on top of that 15k price tag to keep it from tearing up or fixing factory flaws. Hence why my two main bikes are 500s, not a ton of power, but will definitely take me anywhere I've ever tried to go (minus that time I blew both front axles in the clay hole, which I wasn't the only one that day to do so)
Charles Corwin that's the understatement of the day. I've got to do a top end on my cat, 3k miles of extreme abuse, some new axles, and wheel bearings twice a year. It's an expensive habit.
WHO THE HELL IS GONNA WANNA SPEND 11,000 PLUS on a mud bike cus you k ow for bein a belt drive ur gonna have to constantly buy belts SO JUSY BUY A HONDA 300 put on a lift and tires and a snorkel made of PCV piping and there a mutha fuckin mud bike
Today I learned that DTTV's definition of "budget" means paying more for upgrading a used bike than buying a brand new Highlifter sportsman 1000 or XMR 1000.
I remember watching the 6 years ago I'm really happy the series is still on UA-cam
Glad you enjoyed it. Working on some new stuff now so stay tuned!
Not bad considering that a new stock can am today is around the same price with less reliable parts
Hayden B idk man them stock parts are pretty strong now days
For can am
It’s u.s dollars tho
I just love how you have your own rad style and not the typical xmr rad I think self custome is the best tbh it makes your bike stand out from others.
Man i would hate to do a break down on mine i would prob cry a bit lmao nice vid guys

So y’all just used stick Mav 1000 heads thinking of doing 860 kit. Currently building 07 800 renegade
Did u upgrade the clutch ?
Was the back diff already orange?
I don't get how $12000 is a budget build
Emory Bragg was thinking the same😂
to be competitive thats pretty cheap. of course they could have opted out of the motor build and diffs but they needed them for racing.
This is way a budget build im 2.5 times that on my bike i bet
It isn't on a budget at all at that point. They went with a full service. Axles, radiator, tires and wheels, snorkels, new rear diff, strengthened steering???

I budget doesn’t mean cheap it is a amount of money set buy some and they don’t what to go over the price set
I love that four wheeler and your vids

Agreed, in the end a brand new xmr 1000 will be the same price if not cheaper (from personal experience lol)
I have a lot of these accessories on my bike STM clutches to Grand plus tax and shipping... Rhino axles he mentioned the same thing again 199 each plus tax and shipping... I daresay his budget was a little off🤣 but damn I bet you she workz good
Dang, what a nice machine. I wish I had one of those. Just imagine pulling up to your buddies house with that😂
Carson Beal I wouldn't ride this thing anywhere except for the mud
Why did y’all go with the 860 kit over the 840 high compression??
hey is there any possibility you could get me a set of those control arms cant find them anywere at all!!!!
Might as well buy a 2017 polaris highlifter 1000, close to same price
won't have nearly as much horse power nor will it keep up to this thing in the mud
lmao a polaris would break first run what a pile of junk
Good call. I'm tired of brain washed can am riders. Each manufacturer excels in certain areas. None trump all . But dont tell that to a bombardier owner . Holly .....lol
You’re wrong

did u put in mr rpm cams? didnt hear u mention them..also there was no mention on clutches or set up or price.?
NJM OUTDOORS clutches and setup are top secret
I'm betting a CV Tech set up.
LITMM lol..i seen greg bolted on an stm for dyno tuning..but it was never mentioned on the price breakdown and as we all know is a MAJOR factor of a build like this and should be mentionec and piced as part of this build for full disclosure.
shaker650 ya could be..great clutch..if i gueesed tho id say stm all around becsise thats what greg recomends
What tires
If the axel doesn't break the diff will.
That's a lot of money just to ride in the mud
Fun costs
yeah you can buy a new one that is ready to go for cheaper
@@anthonytaulbee9132 this is for racing not your average play around build lol
Moral off the story by a brand new atv..
Kentrell Moore a stock brand new one will not compare to what this one is built for. If u did this to a new one it would cost probs upwards of 25-35k
Kentrell Moore and I dont know about you but i ain't investing that much into a quad just to beat the crap out of it mudding
First like for y’all, keep up the good work!
They should build a Yamaha mud race atv
Now we just want nos and go ride with ostacruiser
Should ride with osta again and take the mud racer,
Wow! It’s been one fucking year! Why the fuck did it take so fucking long?
Could of just bought a can am renagade XMR or a polaris highlifter
This thing makes way more power than those… this is cheaper lol and has more tire than a brand new one
Could y’all build me one like that ?
If any body is traying to build something like this I got a gen 1 can am 2007 for sale
200hrs
Only has a clutch and outlaw tires
Located in Houston Tx
How much for the gen 1 can am 2007?
Imagine the labour cost .... at least 5 g
LOL! We did some of the work ourselves and needs some help with others.
of course. You guys are handy for sure .
Amazing job
Give it away
12k "investment"...two years later you'll do good to get 6k for it...that's if it doesn't break.
It wasnt built to sell 2 years later you dong
Hello peoples
But you have to pay to play now days 👍👍
Second
Nice bike more like no budget though
Charles Corwin that's a budget friendly build with out halfassing it together.
I build my fair share of atvs down here in North Florida
Dirty South Off Road No doubt. For the common rider that's a pretty penny though.

Dirty South Off Road I hear that. My brute 750 rips through bearings like no tomorrow just in stock form. Ripped an axle too. Gotta pay to play!
Charles Corwin that's the understatement of the day.

Apparently I don't make enough money lol. Or I'm just cheap and don't want to be in debt.
First
Gonzalo Lozano I just missed it lmao
🌹🌹🌹👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
For 13k you could buy a fucking 330hp nissan 350z
Ain’t no budget on that bike
Yeah it is...13k budget evidently
What is your definition of budget......13k is not a budget build
Budget doesnt necessarily mean cheap . man ppl are st st stoopid
You can't call this a budget build like at all 😅
If it had a budget, it qualifies.
How to build a mud ATV under 15k
A budget is a set amount to spend..dosent say cheap budget build
Rhino 1 are barely adequate. Rhino 2.0 or Demon HD are much better.
That ain't no budget
Are u stupid or something. The budget was 13k. Didnt say cheap budget you scab
Today I learned that DTTV's definition of "budget" means paying more for upgrading a used bike than buying a brand new Highlifter sportsman 1000 or XMR 1000.
Definition of Budget: The amount of money needed or available for a purpose. - Oxford Dictionary
@@dirttraxtv That doesn't prove anything.
@@iamapineapple5724 to be a competitive mud racing bike that is cheap lol
That aint no budget
Aint no cheap budget
Rhino sucks. Go with turner axles. Edit: gorilla axles work better than rhinos too
