      I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and I’ve been trying to master how to make bows using this technique. I get frustrated because no matter how I tie, the rubber band is still showing. Is there a trick to get that hidden or is that just the way it is. Thank you!

      I didn’t even think of that!! I will give that a try. Thank you so much. Do you have a tutorial specifically for using an alligator clip instead of nylon? Another issue I have run into is when I’m trying to insert the alligator clip, I can’t find an exit, just keep running into more fabric.

      Thank you! I like to use these: bullet knit, liverpool knit, or scuba as they have enough weight for the bow to not be super floppy without needing an interfacing for added stiffness 🤌🏻✨️😉

    Hi Bailey! I understand why you use the nylon for the stretch around the head. But would it be possible to use a cotton fabric for the bow that doesn't have stretch? If so, would the measurements change? Thank you!

    I’ve been trying over and over again to make this perfectly. I get the bow itself part just fine but when I wrap the excess around to tie the knot it’s SO chunky and I feel like it looks awful and not right because the knot in the back is so big. How can I fix this?

    What fabric do you use to keep bows from Fraying ?
    Or how do you keep a fabric from fraying ?

    • @RecapturedValues
      @RecapturedValues  2 роки тому

      Most knits don't fray, however Liverpool and Bullet knits like used for these bows do tend to get "runs" kinda like with panty hoses when pulled too tightly causing the fabric to superate

    Hi, what nylon bands do you use? Just wondering if they hold up the bow once it's on the babies head. I bought some but seems like bow it too heavy so falls over with any little movement baby makes. What do you suggest?

    Hi Bailey, have a question about fabric, can you make one of these bows from double brushed polyester I have a lady wanted a knotted gown with cow print and she's wanting a bow to match so I was wondering how you would go about making one from this fabric or would you do a solid color from bullet or liverpool? Thanks so much for your help. Tammy

    • @RecapturedValues
      @RecapturedValues  2 роки тому +1

      I typically do a solid bullet to match like white or black. You could put an interfacing on dbp but it won't tie the same because it essentially makes the fabric less stretchy.

      Stretch should always go with the length of the fabric. So here 5" is the width/height and the longer measurement is the length and who the stretch should run.
