Israel to Jordan Border Crossing | Aqaba City

We are travelling from Tel Aviv to Eilat, Israel. From there we will cross to Jordan through the Wadi Araba Border Crossing. We bought the Jordan Pass which helped us in waiving the visa fees to enter Jordan. Jordan Pass also allows you to visit Petra for 1,2 or 3 consecutive days without paying extra. We spent a night in the much under hyped but beautiful city of Aqaba, Jordan and tasted some amazing Jordanian dishes.

It's good to know you have visited Aqaba. I had traveled from Jeddah to Tabuk- Haql -Aqaba. I had reached Aqaba from Wadi Arab.

What time of year were you in Aqaba? I was there two weeks ago but the sea was very calm, no surf.

Hi, i had to apply for israel visa, so i had the israel visa on my passport and they also stamped into the passport during the immigration.

I am also Planning to go to Jordan from Israel. I heard that Jordan Pass only applicable if we come by air. Is it? Or we can go by road crossing the border and we can take only the jordan pass? I am currently residing in Finland I have Finnish resident permit and Indian Passport. I will go to Israel from Finland and then want to cross road border to go to Jordan. Please help with the information and from where I can book the bus ticket israel to Jordan? Also is there any bus from Jersalem to aquba?

Hi, we crossed the border by road and Jordan pass was valid. We took a bus from tel aviv to eilat. Ticket we bought from tel aviv bus stop. Then crossed the border by foot from eilat to aqaba, Jordan. Im sure there mustbe buses from jerusalem to eilat as well. Hope this information helps.

Any idea how much was the bus ticket from telavie to Eliat? What did you mean by paying tax during exit at Eliat ? Was it for duty free purchased? When is the best month to visit this region? Thanks

Hi, the bus ticket costs 142 shekels. We had to pay a tax while leaving Israel, it was called exit fee. We didnt purchase anything in duty free. Best time to visit this region is during Sept and Oct as the weather is pleasant.

Yes, you are right. This is on the way to Aqaba from Tel Aviv. We checked on Google maps and Gaza strip was close by from this pit stop enroute.
