Thank you so much for posting these videos! I'm an investigator and soon I'll be a convert to the church! I have two small children and this helps me and them. Bless you both!
That is so exciting!!!! I am a convert to the church. It was the very best decision I've ever made!! May God bless you and keep you & your family!! 💛💛💛
Seriously?! You wont know how much I needed this insight! I teach gospel doctrine and I feel under qualified, under educated and insecure. Lets not even talk about the over thinking and complications I add to the scene. So THANK YOU! This is an answer to prayers and self inflicted suffering. 😆😘
Jerome and Emily are amazing! Two of my favorites. I love following along with my own worksheet and filling it in and thinking about the more indepth points throughout the week. I have learned so much in just these few short lessons. Thank you.
I look forward to your videos every single week. You are helping me take.my scripture study deeper and as a result my relationship with Christ has been enriched. You two are so awesome. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and gifts.
Thank you for sharing this great video. Last night I received a call to substitute teach Gospel doctrine. I was only given about 12 hours to be able to prepare a lesson during that time I read through the chapters and watched your video two times. I was able to effectively share this lesson with my class because of what I learned from watching both of you teach and share about these chapters. Thanks.
I am so grateful for the time & effort you put into these videos!! I am highly allergic to the molds & mildew in my ward building. It's an old building & leaks everytime it rains. I only go to Sacrament meeting. Now that I have found these, I can watch them & study/read the scriptures during second hour while my husband & children are in the building. Thank you so much!!! You both have truly blessed my Sabbath Day!! God bless!!💙💙💙
You guys are AMAZING and I love your insight SO MUCH! Haha - I’m a convert - the “host” is always the one who first tastes the wine & ‘approves’ before the [server] pours for everyone else. This is still a custom today - - if you go to a nice restaurant and watch other tables, you’ll see the servers do this before serving a bottle of wine to an entire table..... :)
I ADORE you both! SO grateful to have this resource. We listen together as a family to enrich our study every week. I promise to spread the word. I am so proud of you guys for enriching the lives of all who listen! Seriously thank you so much 🙏🏼
First, thank you so much for making these videos. There are helping me to grow my love for the scriptures. Second, l love the wall and angel that the camera is in. I feel more connected with you, like in class. Third, the way you both work together is so fun to see and learn. My family love these video and feel more prepared to read the scriptures in depth. May god bless you and the service you are doing.
Thank you so much! I have been a member for years and this is bringing up things that I haven't really considered before (maybe because I'm always in Primary, but I wouldn't give that up for the world)
This is nice to see these videos to see what you guys get out of it! It’s great to see we see the same things and you guys catch things I didn’t! Love that about the gospel! Always learning!!
I very much appreciated this! Something that jumped out to me was the part about Jesus letting the governor have the glory--perhaps the Governor is Heavenly Father. That makes sense in my mind because Jesus gives God the glory.
The Bible Dictionary also shows more stuff about Nicodemus. We do know a little more. It tells how Nicodemus defended the Savior when the Sanhedrin was trying to quiet/get rid of Him in John 7:50. So I think that he really pondered the things the Savior said to him because he seems to have stood up for him and Nicodemus was accused of being a friend of the Savior (John 7:52 ...Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.) I love these videos and discussions! Thanks for sharing!
From "Jesus the Christ",by James E. Talmage we learn: Waterpots for Ceremonial Cleansing.-In the house at Cana there stood in a place specially reserved, six waterpots of stone “after the manner of the purifying of the Jews.” Vessels of water were provided, as a matter of prescribed order in Jewish homes, to facilitate the ceremonial washings enjoined by the law. From these pots or jars the water was drawn off as required; they were reservoirs holding the supply, NOT vessels used in the actual ablution (a ceremonial act of washing parts of the body or sacred containers). SO, based on this I would say the water was drawn off as required from the pots, they didn't actually wash their hands and feet inside of the pots.
@@janfelshaw8217 I agree that Jesus can take ordinary things and change it into extraordinary, however the literal custom was to use clean water from the pots for the ceremonial washings and draw out of the pots into another container, although their analogy had great meaning, it was not accurate, according to the Jewish customs. Jesus did not use filthy water to change the water into wine, he used pure water in clean pots of stone. This is not my opinion this is from Elder James E. Talmage, Jesus the Christ. I feel it is important to teach doctrine correctly, although they are great teachers. I admire the passion and effort of the lessons they prepare.
THANK YOU! I love these videos so much! They are packed with the Spirit, with wonderful insights and ideas, and with ways to make it personal! ☆What a treat!!☆ Your channel has officially become part of my weekly study! (I especially love it on 2nd and 4th Sundays, when I no longer get my share of discussion ^_^) Thank you, too, for having them early!! You guys are amazing and I wish we were friends! ;-)
What’s wrong with Walmart wine? I heard it was the best! Lol j/k great lesson you two. 😉 Thanks for all you do and taking time out of your days to share your thoughts.
Being born of the spirit is defined in scripture as the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost, this is what Joseph Smith taught; how can you not teach that? Is the baptism of water an event? Is the birth of a baby an event? Is the baptism of the spirit an event? Yes to all of them. Joseph Smith taught, "The baptism of water without the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost attending it is of no use; they are necessarily and inseparably connected. An individual must be born of water and the spirit in order to get into the kingdom of God." (Teachings, p. 360) This is taught plainly in the Doctrine of Christ, (2 Nephi 31:17,18) and in other places. Why won't anyone teach this doctrine properly in the church today? A mighty change is a significant experience that can happen when we seek it, like Alma, like Peter, like Nephi and Lehi in the prison, like the brother of Jared, like the people of King Benjamin, like the disciples of Christ in Jerusalem and in America, like many others.
The content is great but it’s totally overshadowed by the frustration I feel when the lady is trying to talk and David just can’t let her have air space. Please watch your videos because I really like her style and I wish her air time could be more 50/50. She has a lot of insight that I really resonate with. Thank you for making these videos. They are super insightful and instructional. What a great service!!! I look forward to watching them 2 and 3 times each week. Thank you!!!
I think they have a good balance, where they keep it fun and interesting. I feel like I can catch their enthusiasm for the Word of God, the enthusiasm that makes them want to share what is in their hearts, I totally feel like they both share what they prepared and neither one is diminished.
You must be born again. Nick had already been born on earth. Nick had lived a good, moral life. Jesus told him, you must be born again. That which is born of flesh is flesh; that which is born of spirit is spirit. You must be born again.
I love the analogies you guys use! Especially with being born again and what the Savior does for us in that transition. So beautifully taught!

Congratulations on your upcoming baptism!
That's so exciting! Welcome!
These help so much. It’s like having someone to study with. Thanks Emily and David!
Thank you so much for this! I'm a primary teacher so I don't get to have an adult Sunday School/RS discussion each week. So great!

wow just realised these 3 stories are how we repent 1 change of heart, 2 baptism, 3 conversion

Cana and Jerusalem were about 100 miles away... would have taken days to walk. Why would the Temple pots be at a wedding 100 miles away?
