I've been mostly trying to convince Germans to send Schlager to Eurovision. I really want them to send Marie Reim.

I'm with you, I miss Schlager in ESC, the nordics have forgotten it completely and it's a German tradition. I'd love to see Marie Reim in Malmö too

It really is because there are a lot of pretty good music in German, for sure.
