Otherwise if you are worried about getting stuck with limits ON, you can phone the dealership/your sales person and ask. Last option is to wait on doing anything with MyKey until your next service and they can program it if you want then.

Have you tried accessing MyKey with both keys in the vehicle? You’ll find out if one is programmed as admin if you can access and change the settings in Mykey. Otherwise if you are worried about getting stuck with limits ON, you can phone the dealership/your sales person and ask. Last option is to wait on doing anything with MyKey until your next service and they can program it if you want then.

Shari Chapman don’t EVER lose your key either... guess what?! They’re gonna charge you $300 for a new one. I’m in the process of getting another one. It’s so fucking stupid too.
Depends on the key, some aren't that expensive. We've been able to replace a key for less to help resolve the MyKey issues.
What if there is not a create mykey button
@@Noah9909yt do you have two sets of keys in the vehicle?
@ No, can you not clear mykey with only one?
@ no you need both sets of keys in the car and one being the admin key. If you don’t have both sets you’ll need to get a second set. Talk to the dealership you purchased your vehicle
@ okay thank you!
@@Noah9909yt thanks for watching
Can somebody help me mine is a 2010 model and it doesn't have this kind of technology.
You’ll still need two keys in the vehicle to deactivate MyKey (if your vehicle is actually equipped with this technology)
@@lacombeford it was it had originally read two keys even though I only have one. I was trying to reset it after I got my tire put back on from getting fixed because I've used a spare tire that didn't have a sensor and I was trying to reset everything I ran into that problem cuz I was trying to get the low tire pressure indicator to go off after I picked it up from the tire shop. So I might have been mistake messing around with the settings. Also the thing that says whatever amount of miles till empty has been malfunctioning. It had said 372 MI to empty when I left work and I went just a few miles to the tire shop and then it went down to 315 miles that quickly and then when I get back to my apartment it went back up to 368 miles plus the gauge is going up and down I think the gauge itself is in the right spot but I'm not sure. I'm not sure if that was because of me messing with the settings or not.
@@jssstephenson unfortunately to reset and remove the mykey limitations you’ll need two keys in the vehicle. For the other technical issues you may need to take the vehicle into a Ford service center. They may need to do an update to your software. You can also check here if any updates are available for you to download www.ford.com/support/sync-maps-updates/
I don’t even have those options it only says my key and that’s it there’s no option for speed limit or volume what do I do
Both keys are in the vehicle?
I just bought a 2014 Ford fusion and my volume won't let me pass 14 and I tried to deactivate mykey but it doesn't show clear mykey it only shows mykey dist
Margil Rodriguez do you have both keys for the vehicle? You need to have the master key in the right spot for the car to recognize you have authority to clear my key.
No the dealer only gave me one key.. I don't know if it's the master key
Margil Rodriguez that is probably the problem. If you take it back to them and explain the car has MyKey programming and you need it cleared their service department will be able to do it (we are assuming its a Ford dealer). In our experience you need two keys.
No I bought the car in a car dealer and they gave me one key but hopefully they have the other one.. and if they don't is there any other way to deactivate it. Or to reset the whole system??
Margil Rodriguez you can order the second key and then get the system deactivated. Hopefully the dealer has the second set for you or can help out with the cost of a new one and system reset.
Is there anyway I around this I only have 1 key 2017 Ford Explorer sport wife lost the other! Ugh help!!
Felipe302GT sorry, none that we know of. You’ll need to get a 2nd key and then have one programmed as the admin key.
Lacombe Ford well I’ll make to head to the dealership Monday and get this taken care off.. thank you for the quick response!
Felipe302GT thanks for watching, sorry to hear about the missing key. Take care!
Is there any way of deactivate without both keys?
Unfortunately not. You need two keys and one programmed as the admin key.
Thanks a lot bro
Thanks for watching!
Those instructions don't fit my situation my settings read 1MyKey 2 admin and it has a trip with mileage driven

It’s same in my situation Ford Fusion 2017
Thank you
I don't have this MyKey in my Ford Explorer 2012 XLT
@@ch0lito then you wouldn’t have the options to place restrictions on your vehicle.
@@lacombeford When i try to put the volume all the way up, there is a message saying there is a MyKey restriction with the volume.
@@ch0lito so you’ll need both sets of keys in the car (one being the admin) to unlock the restrictions. If you don’t have 2 keys you’ll need to get a second one program
