I bought a 2006 TL in 2006. I drove her for 168K trouble free miles. I miss my TL. These cars are built to last. Good power. Great looking car to this day. Mine was a 6 speed manual. Rare and tons of fun. Great HID headlights. I highly suggest you pick one up for your kids first car.
Solid car, great handling, great speed with the premium gas. Definitely make sure the premium fuel is used, there is a noticeable difference in take-off speed.
In 2008, I bought a used ‘05 TL. Loved it but as time went on, I wanted the refreshed model that came out in ‘07. In 2010, I sold the ‘05 and bought an ‘07. To this day, it was one of my favorite cars ever. Currently have ‘21 Accord Touring 2.0T. Love it too. I will always remember my TLs fondly though.
This is a good video for me. I have a 2006 acura tl automatic with 130,000miles, and the dealer asked me if I wanted the ASPEC pkg and I said yeah so they sold the 2006 TL with theAspec pkg .bouught her brand new back in 2006.
Love these TL gen. Unfortunately, I found out it had the notorious dash cracks even after replacing them otherwise it was one of the most sexy Acura along with its TSX siblings.
I have to date a 2006 Acura TL manual transmission purchased new. Only has 62,000 on it. I had similar problems with the dash. I ended up purchasing a product called "Dash Skin" It has restored my dash to near new condition. Check them out.
Hey man, love your reviews. Concise and to the point. Just curious, what are your thoughts on how this TL's 3.2 V6 compares to the 2006 Infiniti FX35's V6? How do the two cars compare overall in terms of driving experience? Thanks!
I heard the automatic transmissions in these had issues sadly . I always wanted to buy one of these old Acuras but I don’t know if I want to drive a manual
@@DMCarReviewsfor sure I have an 06 exactly like the one in this video, at 340k km (200k+ miles) running strong, just take care of it and it will take care of you, in fact my family’s 2016 dodge grand caravan at less km, the transmission gave away and the Acura saved the day for getting to work etc lol
I'm pretty sure that only applied to the V6 paired to the 4 speed, this one has the 5 speed which I've heard is very reliable. Funny enough though, Honda's older automatics are actually automated manuals with a clutch pack and torque converter like a typical planetary auto. It's the reason why their DCTs in the newer TLX, ILX, and NSX are so good as Honda already had experience building automated manuals. Love the 8 speed DCT in my TLX.
Bought a 08 base in Pearl white again with 49,000 miles . Couldn’t find myself to get away from this car, sold my 06 5 years back. This car aged very well .

I got 6.2 0-100 kmh in my TL 06, but density altitude was probably much better than in this video and you spun on both 0-60 launches in this video, mine didn’t spin, maybe a combination of age, DA and tires gave 7.2 but that is realistic
