Fahrenheit 451 was a book I refused to read in school back in the 80’s and the reason was I wasn’t big on reading books of almost any kind and I wasn’t well educated knowing certain words which made it hard to understand, but many yrs later I’ve seen the movie on several occasions and it’s sad knowing that history could and many repeat itself like Germany did in WW2 burning books and films that they didn’t find suitable.
I don't remember in what order I got to know Fahrenheit 451. It made such a big impression on me that "I have it inside me". Besides, many novels left their mark on me. In part, they created me. The book, the story contained in it, first read to me by my grandfather and then when I learned to read myself, became a part of my life. So much so that my first job was working in a bookstore. But I abandoned it after a month. How can you live if at the end of the month, instead of a paycheck, you bring home an armful of books. ;) Now I realize my addiction to printing more easily by working in a printing house. At school, I didn't like reading the readings imposed on me. I read what interested me, not what I was told to read as a canon. You didn't like reading, but what about now? Are you making up for lost time and opportunity? Zresztą wiele powieści odcisnęło swój znak we mnie. Nadrabiasz stracony czas i okazję?

Exactly. I see a definite parallel between this movie and Nazi Germany in 1933.

Most people don't read anymore. So we don't need government to burn books, we are doing it to ourselves.
