    That's always been the problem with the forums especially, you're looking for some genuine help and then all the boomers/purists hop in and suggest you shit you dont want/need. They seem to think EVERYONE wants to build show cars and do a shitty job thoroughly explaining things and getting to the point. Great video.

    Just came across your channel. I will definately try this. My 1406 flooded after I rebuilt it. I used the needles and seats that came with the kit...but I dont think I set the floats right. Took it off..adjusted the floats and it stills floods. I will try cleaning the needles, seats and adjusting the floats right this time. Great video!

      I take it the answer is no?
      If so, then use "Rec gas" (recreational fuel with no ethanol).
      Or look up "VP fuels" on internet.

    Years ago I had a Datsun that would not start up in the morning due to moisture. Guys would laugh when I told them I covered the engine with a blanket, to prevent moisture build up in the carb. Doesn't take much moisture to create a problem

    I have a 1979 Chevy c70 dumptruck with a 366 v8, has an Edelbrock 600 on it, won't idle smelling gas , have to idle up the rpms for it to idle, runs great on the road but won't idle, you think jet is clogged? I hate ethanol.

    Chris, noticed my 350 is consuming a ton of fuel, to the point my oil is like water after only 15 minutes of running... I have a 1405 but was thinking could this issue be a bad fuel pump dumping fuel into the bottom of the motor? Thanks for all your videos!!!

    • @chriscraft77022
      @chriscraft77022  3 роки тому

      I would change the mechanical fuel pump., something is seriously wrong... that usually happens on fuel injected vehicles when the pressure regulator fails and it wipes the rings out... engine will have 0 compression .. does it have electric fuel pump?

      @@chriscraft77022 Chris it worked fine until I replaced the gasket that was leaking. I went cheap, I only clean it up. I ordered a kit for it. It is Schedule to arrive next week. hopefully, with the new needle, it should correct the problem...I'll keep you posted

      i am using a red gas can as the tank, you can see it in the video next to the radiator.. its only 2 gallons... and i fill it about once a week with new gas.. phase separation occurs in the fuel bowls because they are vented to atmosphere.. houston has high humidity.. ill link my ethanol problems in the description
