I made some fundamental mistakes that lost me this match... Two big ones were 1. allowing his big takedown on the far side of the mat, and 2. letting him get the mount and not elbow escaping right away to prevent his points. There were some other things that I failed to capitalize on, but those two things amounted to either 7 or 8 of his 9 points. I believe it was 9-3.

I compete in this division. Masters 2 medium heavy. Literally every guy looks like this. Bald with beard and the same size.
