#BTCC Champion Ash Sutton in testing at Brands Hatch during a private test session ahead of the season. This was just a few bedding in laps with Ash warming up the car, tyres and brakes ahead of some more heated numbers.

It’s one of two things. Some of the BTCC teams run cars in other series and the more teams using the circuit the cheaper it is per team for the test day

My partner drives like this on a normal day. 🤣 It's interesting how Ash has a secondary light fitted to tell him when the hybrid can be used. I'm guessing the steering wheel and his hands get in the way at times from seeing the dash lights. Also it was fascinating to see Ash blipping the throttle on the down shifts. I think I'm right in saying that these cars have clutchless up and downshifts? This is done by the ECU cutting the throttle for a brief moment when the gear lever is pulled. So it's interesting to see that even though Ash doesn't have to blip the throttle on the down changes, he does to maintain more stability in the car I'm guessing? But I'm guessing this comes with it's own risks as a mistimed blip or too much/little can also induce instability in the car.
I'm guessing there is no chance of seeing a full flying onboard lap from any of your drivers with the engine and turbo set to the most aggressive map with full hybrid being deployed on a fresh set of slicks? 😂 Failing that, I'd be happy with some/all of the onboard footage from Paul from his truck from Brands as I was at the track and it was EPIC to see the Napa truck in all it's glory. 😁

No clutch needed for going up the gears either!! Does it all automatically for them! And I would imagine blipping the throttle helps settle the car under breaking so nothing locks up!
