    Spherical neodymium magnet in mercury, inside a copper ring made of thick walled tubing... What could you do with that? Curious

  • @keeper0523
    @keeper0523 5 років тому +5

    Could you try putting that ring in a plastic shell and let it rotate while having an inside piece stay stationary? Like a space ship? Maybe this is all that’s required?

    Implement coil magnets with the coil, all as individual components on a PID votage and amperage control system and then we can truly play... When I have the time, I'm going to build test some cone coil...
    Awesome work, keep moving forward, :)

    If you take 4 square aluminium plates and cut them in
    half, then place two together then place the other two on top
    as second layer with the joint opposite to first layer you can achieve stable levitation without magnets.... So two layers with a cross joint pattern +
    magnets

    well done - I've never even thought about the approaching the opposite side. This seems a bit dangerous though are there any safety percussion in attempting this other the just accidently burning down my tinker shed

    Esta buena la idea....y si alimentas la bobina por inducción no ocuparlas los cables con un diodo y un capacitor

  • @luisarias8077
    @luisarias8077 Рік тому +1

    That setup, maybe if the copper coil was more resistant to burn, and increasing the voltage in the line could be a way to levitate wat heavier loads, from the base itself.
    This could be the basic on how alien ships keep their ship floating, if the outer magnets weren't solid, if they were adjustable in power, that could be the way to fly on a specific direction.

    • @Anksh0usRacing
      @Anksh0usRacing Рік тому

      By ‘weren’t solid’ are you perhaps thinking of a liquid? In that case, Mercury is the answer to your question ;)

    Roobert33, I have this crazy idea of destroying energy. You put a peltier element in an aluminum block. Hot and cold would neutralize to some extent and there will be some destroyed energy. What do you think?!

    If you create too large of a magnetic field in that copper coil you run the risk of demagnetising your permanent magnets, especially if you secure that coil directly over the magnet without allowing it to be pushed away
