Arid Desert Terrarium Step By Step 2023

  • This week, I used cactuses that I had and an old terrarium to create this beautiful desert terrarium.
    This is similar to my other terrariums. However, I set it up so that it has low humidity at around 20%. I added Armadillidium Officinalis Isopods.
    All living things in the world deserve a chance at life and I love repurposing & creating homes for these fun creatures.

    That looks amazing! This is the sort of look I want when my ant colony are large enough to take on such an arena.

      For my desert substrate my recipe is 2 party decomposed granite, 1-2 part sand depending on how sandy of a desert your going for, 1 part coco fiber, and 1/2 part top soil.

      This is play sand. I collected rocks from nature. I don’t know their name.

    what is the substrate mix

  • @loz792
    @loz792 Рік тому +4

    To give a step by step would be helpful if you also explained what mix you used as substrate and some explanations along the way ,loved the final result but not helpful to understand how to make one with the right ingredients

    Want something manageable like this for the living room. Just trying to figure out what all I put in it without it being too much like a gladiator arena. Lol. But we'll see
    This is just beautiful. Well done sir.
