I love this type of video. It takes me on a Walk Down Memory Lane, feeling all over again the excitement and joy I felt at the moment. 🙆🏼 And then listening to Jed and feeling the "what happened" disappointment in September all over again. 😔 I love my CUBS. I just hope and pray for 2024 we can build a better bullpen!🙏
The second half was a thing of beauty, even though they didn't make it. I cannot wait to see what this team can do in a full season. Here's to 2024 and another season of Cardiac Cubs!
The last couple of weeks of the season were like torture. But if we can keep the team together and add some of the young talent in the minors 2024 may be our year
I thought it was a great season dispite the outcome. I can't wait to see P.C.A get his first hit with the Cubs next season!! Thank you for the vid. and have a great offseason Cubbies:)
It was awesome to watch the team compete for 162 and seeing all the young talent we have gets me so excited for the future. Now FUCKING RESIGN BELLINGER AND STRO.
I kept saying to friends of mine that i was seeing glimpses of the 2015 Cubs. They went on a hell of a run after the All Star break but fell short at the end. I was not disappointed by their finish, I wasn't expecting a playoff run. I do however expect the front office and coaching staff to continue on this path it seems to be working and if it works don't change of "fix" anything.
11:11 organization to be insanely proud of. The player scouting & development as well as the recruiting is golden 🤩 Inspired by every game I watched (2nd half of the season when extra innings went on sale. Televise the game again for out of market fans. Show the game, grow the game🙏) 1060 West Addison forever ✨🐻⚾️🕊️
Were a young team and I don't care that we didn't make playoffs, it's all just a learning stage. Next year we will be back and trust me, the Brewers, Cardinals, Pirates, and Reds are not winning the NL Central.
The core of a good team is there after just 1.5-2 years of rebuilding, for which the front office and ownership deserve a lot of credit. The way the Cubs have built a new foundation through free agency and the farm system, like Hoyer said, has been very well done. As I see it right now, the core of the team is Happ, Suzuki, Swanson, Hoerner, Morel, Steele and Alzolay. Bellinger was in there but might be gone, PCA will probably join that group. Now, it’s time to supplement that core with more external additions. The Cubs have a top-5 farm system in baseball and have a tremendous amount of prospect capital. Using some of that capital to acquire a true anchor for the rotation and lineup would be huge. Pete Alonso would be an awesome addition, as would someone like Edward Cabrera. Juan Soto is of course the dream acquisition. The only caveat is that if the Cubs get any of these guys, they’d have to extend them, because you don’t make a major trade like this only to watch whoever it is walk away in free agency. The bullpen needs some serious work too. The Cubs will have to make some moves this winter, and I think they will. 2024 looks good to me.
2 great signings with swanson and bellinger now find a way to get back dylan cease and kopech they are useless with the sox phony pitching coach those 2 can be the best in baseball with the right pitching coach
so, in retrospect, should Tauchman have come up short? That way, we keep the beloved propsects that we traded for Candelario? Nah, of course not. But should they have kept Velazquez instead of trading him for Cuas? Yes, a hundred times yes. But the braintrust never liked the kid. He is an offensive beast. Just like another offensive beast they couldn't wait to get rid of. One Mr. Nick Castellanos.
i really have no hope for this. You can't trust the Ricketts or front office to make the necessary signings to put the Cubs over the hump. They are banking on having every prospect pan out like with the 2016 team. It will not surprise me one bit when they let Bellinger walk and not even send an offer Ohtanis way.
If this season taught me anything its that Ross is not the coach that will take this team to another championship. Questionable moves after questionable moves late down the stretch really shined a light on this.
2024 is our year and I refuse to believe otherwise
And Beyond
There's definitely hope, after watching for 50+ years.
I'm positive about the future.
Go Cubbies!
I Love my Cubs. Tough way to go out on the season. They played hard and hopefully next year 2024 Cubs play meaningful baseball in October. Go Cubs ❤️💙
Wish this magical summer was rewarded with a postseason trip. But glad to see a new group of comeback Cubs
