There is actually a cheaper and less complicated way with way less wiring. You get an Apple composite device which was the old 30 pin connector to rca and then just get the 30 pin to light Ight adapter

And then you can buy a 30 pin to lightning adapter. I got 2 for 4.99
If you have an Android you get a 30pin to usb(whatever size your phone is) adapter

I own a 2017 Infiniti Q50 sport and it also comes with that top screen that isn't equipped with maps so it's useless and at this moment I can't replace the screen with the tesla model I want. I MY question is that the parts you included in video needed to mirror your phone I have BUT my phone is a Samsung galaxy ultra 22 so it doesn't have a regular aux port it doesn't have the 3.5mm port so would a Type-C Aux 3.5mm Audio Headphone Adapter work?

Hi (Infiniti Q50 2016) I tried all as you showed but video signal did not reach the monitor. All it showed was stripped colour vertical bars with "no signal" on it. DO you know what the problem might be? Thanks!
by the way the gadget I am trying to mirror on the the car screen is Samsung Note 5 if that might be a problem that gets the two system incompatible?

Does this work on a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum? being that Infiniti is Nissan's luxury brand. I got all those AV input,Aux port and USB ports on the same spot as your Infiniti.

The Audio will not work for Iphone X since it does not have an aux jack, and the HDMI to AV converter does not have a aux input as well. I was really hoping i can do this for my Iphone X :(
You can buy the red and white RCA cable that converts to 3 and 1/2 mm headphone jack

Well tried but no success. Seems they have this capability blocked? Unless there is another way? I have a feeling there will need to be something to break into their hard drive for this to work-erg! I am also talking with Infiniti re their inTouch and its pretty close to the bugged CarPlay-and yes still prefer CarPlay over the InTouch. I will update u-can’t wait for the new vid!

Does anyone know how to get rid of the black bars it looks like the guy who made this video either has a phone with a different resolution or he was able to zoom into the picture for me in landscape mode there are black bars on both sides of the screen as well as the top and bottom. In portrait mode it goes all the way to the top and bottom of the screen though

Ah, I have a 2018rs and I was able to get the park sensor taken care of but mine is also throwing a "car must be stopped" error while driving

I just did a quick google search n came up with this on a forum maybe itll work if your good with disconnecting wires and figuring out whats what
Here it is
I created a switch solution for the 370z using a heated seat switch.
There is really no downside to permanently bypassing the parking brake so the easiest solution is to:
1) Disconnect the parking brake wire from the AV unit and permanently ground the wire leading to the AV unit
2) Then just have a regular single pole on/off switch in series with the speed sensor wire. If the on position the car will perform as normal and in the off position the speed bypass will be enabled
Next if you would rather have have the bypass activated in the on position then you could use a relay - This is what I did with the 370z solution so that the light was on when activated and off when not

If you want a switch solution to not permanently bypass the parking brake then I would do the following using a DPDT switch

Of course finding a factory DPDT switch may be more difficult.
We (www.carkitcompay.com) are considering offering a plug & play harness that a could be used with the customers own switches. This is something that I have already made for a couple of customers where it allows flexibility but maintains the main benefit of our kits, which is not requiring cutting car harnesses. The customer would have to source their own switches etc (could be from Radio shack, factory switches etc). The target price is $110 and it would include the same harness as the remote unit plus the following harness

The two blue wires would be normally connected by a toggle switch and breaking the connection would enable the speed bypass
Grounding the black wire would permanently bypass the Parking brake
A normally open switch would be placed between the Red and Orange wires. Connecting those would then activate the rear camera override
The green wire would only be required in someone wanted to restore parking brake bypass to factory state.

So I just set this up and the image on the upper screen is just rotating from the bottom of the screen to the top. Not a stable image. I have the same setup with the exception I have an iPhone 12. Ive tried a couple different hdmi cables and video composite cable thinking that might be the reason. Still does it. Ideas anybody?

NO, NOT all Infinitis comes with "video" (yellow) input. My 2016 infiniti Qx50 does *not* have video input and I'm still wondering how I can use Android Auto on this redundant screen that I can only use for radio and backup camera.

@@pauldhillon9487 i know it will if the hand brake malfunctions or gets turned off... i got awd i disconnected the awd system from the trunk which makes it rwd and it also disconnects the hand brakes which is the trigger to engage the video aux feature... but that was just a test to see if it will work while car is driving and it does work... i need to do research and find where the sensor is for the hand brakes to disconnect it... ill get it figured out n post a video on it bro... and its all good infiniti giving me a brand new $62,220 msrp and continuing at my current balance left to pay on my current car which is only like 15 k

If you can find a iphone 8 pin to AV video or USB C to av video or a whatever kind of cable your device supports to av video cable... that's all you need but i been looking everywhere for that and no luck 😫
