I think ChatGPT had very little to do with this work (in a good way). While it did save you time, the concept and execution were 100% yours and your skill set. I wonder if you could have used it for duplication and distribution of the duplicated volumes, or for developing and connecting the nodes to generate particular looks. It would be an interesting experience to try and incorporate more ChatGPT and see what the results are.
That said, I love the final result of this bit of work. It could easily be extended to include ships, signage, people, etc and really turn it into a fascinating futuristic dystopian kind of Blade Runner cityscape.

Wow this gave me a very good idea, I made Bing create a script I can use for character animation, I always wanted to have this simple feature in Blender for my needs specifically and Bing did it first try. Very good video! Never thought I could use it for Blender scripting.
i tried to tell ChatGPT to write a python script of a walking quadrupedal dog but when i tried to run it it failed and couldn't figure out how to create and rig a dog character, so it seems it can only do simple scenes with basic shapes and functions from what i've tried.
it can get confused with complex tasks, but if you take it step by step and prompt engineer it properly it can work. it might be easier to learn most of the work and get it to do the simple auto tasks.

Maybe should’ve not said entirely haha, but didn’t chatGPT helped enough? If it wasn’t for the base that I got from chatGPT, It would’ve taken me minimum an hour just duplicating the cubes, However the final outcome really don’t matter much, It’s about the unlimited possibilities and how far you can go with such tool. That’s the main point of this video.
yes this is exactly what i was thinking. The title and that sentence is a bit clickbaity. As a 3d game artists I'm equal parts worried/interested in AI. Making a cube, duplicating it a few times and merging them together would take a couple of minutes. The other 90% of the process (scaling/placing the cubes, the camera, fog, lights, post work) was done manually.
That being said I appreciate the video and showing us your workflow and the possibilities of ChatGPT.
What Add-on 's name that you use for live render (small window near the 3D working space)?
Could be wrong but think it's just the camera view in rendered view in a new window
Don't think that's an addon... That should just be a new window with the layout tab in rendered view
you just set your second window to 3D viewport and set it to rendered view

I know its only a first version of Chat GPT.. but honestly i dont fint what it can do impressive for right now... I mean i saw almost 20 video of ppl using it in blender and the only thing they seems to be ablt to get from chat gpt is spawning cumes in different skape....something so basic we can do that in blender almost as quickly as chat GPT is writting the code. Maybe if one day i can just ask chat gpt to create a code to create a super complex water simulation in blender or if i can ask him to create a code where it use geometry node to create a house or something like that but spawning cubes... I realize that ok its impressive on the sense its a machine writting code for you but the code is... well.... desapointing. The art work you made is great tho but the big part of the work was not made by GPT!

I wonder if the author realizes that this ChatGPT is the AI which will replace ALL artists in the near future, and using this thing is helping to train it....
Chat GPT is not trained on it’s input. It’s pretrained on a set of data. Also yes AI is a big disruption but it will not replace all artists, it will displace artists not using AI. Because these new AI tools do have the potential to accelerate a lot of creative processes, so I would advise to get to know them.
@@atohms AI WILL replace ALL of them (maybe with the exception of very few of them), that will also include actors, and all performing artists (look at the Japan where they have AI singers which have crowds of fans)... AI will also replace doctors, lawyers, etc...

its also inevitable. wether or not you like it, big companies are pushing the development of such technology. and you either stick to your horse / manufacturing job or you adapt to the combustion engine / automatization.
it will happen. also i think we will keep our preference for human made art for a while, but its up to you to chose to adapt to a changing field, or dont
@atohms what you dont realize is that you're not using the AI tool. It's using YOU. It's always learning. Everything you use it for it will eventually be able to do autonomously, infinitum.

Could you have just asked ChatGPT to write the entire scene for you?
At the moment, There is limitation but I wouldn’t be surprised if that would be a possibility in the future. However I genuinely enjoy the process of building the environment myself. I think AI is cool when it can help you with your creation process but not to do everything for you without your input.
One correction. ChatGTP is not like having a genius friend. It's wrong. A lot. It is still a very useful tool, but is not a genius.
