I have a distant great grandfather, Sir Thomas Danyell , whom I take my name from, who once resided at this castle in 1477. Most interesting video Evelyn, thank you!
I was lucky to have visited and toured this wonderfully beautiful castle when I was a freshman in high school. I had moved to England to live with my father (he was stationed at RAF Lakenheath).. I just fell in love with the country. I was able to see Warwick Castle and Stonehenge as well. Some of the greatest memories of my life.
May I add to the comments here that if you are fortunate enough to visit this wonderful castle, there is a pub a short distance away serving tea and scones. 😃👌

I went to Lincoln castle and cathedral 5th September 2021 it was incredible breathtaking actually , I go all light headed when I see a castle I'm hooked on history . Onto hadrian's wall next month ☺️☺️
The stories of Castle Rising, are almost as spectacular as the castle itself. Lion tongues, spicy Queens, and, prancing deer! I can almost hear the footsteps of the people who called Castle Rising home. You just wonder, what would've been like living there? Fantastic video!
Well I can say that when I toured this castle you could feel its history. The countryside, the castle "rising" from the flat ground that surrounds it.. I was 14 when I toured her, I'm 51 now and still remember
Interesting! Magnificent clouds, background music sets a perfect tone. Like the black outfit you're wearing, decent (doesn't destract)! Killer droneshots, very well edited. Very impressed by all!💚💚
Went there the other year....kind of in the middle of nowhere...the thing that struck me was how low the ceilings were and how narrow the steps were....must have been murder getting about for the servants and those living there.
Very interesting history there! I always look forward to what new tidbits of information you will disclose, it always feels like a secret 😉 The music this time......I kinda expected an appearance from the Pied Piper 🤔😂😂😂 Loved every minute!

The beautiful footage of around the castle and by drone that you interweave between your dialogue gives one an opportunity to digest each little tidbit before moving on to the next course 😊. It’s such a great castle. Part of the reason stairs are narrow in castles is actually for defensive purposes.

Went last month,as I live in Peterborough it is sort of local to me.
My first North American ancestor was named Rising from Norfolk and now my last name is Raizenne the francophone version of the surname Rising.
