They were saying don't we get to blow something up? That is from the original with Linda Davis. Linda sounds so much like Reba you can't tell which one is singing!
Dolly can sing and harmonise with just about anyone. She did another trio album with Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette called Honky Tonk Angels - can you imagine having those 3 in the studio together. Magic.
WOW is right. Ive loved Dolly every since I was a little girl. Reba great as always. DOLLY + REBA = Superbness (dont think this is a word but no real word fits)
I knew they were going to do a duet for the first time after being friends for decades! They sure didn't disappoint! Reba recorded this decades ago with Linda Davis but of course Dolly even at 75 still sounds so awesome. Watched this with you also for the first time. I'm enjoying your reactions, keep up the good work!
Both these women are country legends bar none.I know you know a bit about Dolly. Now listen to "The night the lights went out in Georgia" by Reba...Both these women are something else.
Brooks and Dunn song. You Dont Know Me just became my #1 favorite country song. It's a cover of an old Ray Charles song. You wont be disappointed. Promise
Tanya Tucker won a grammy with a country song BRING MY FLOWERS NOW. Absolutely beautiful. Would be nice if you could react to that. Of course Reba and Dolly are stunning.
I am a taxi driver in East Tennessee, I sit at the airport. So we have passengers from the UK come to town to go to the mountains. One time I had a couple from the UK to take to Pigeon Forge, where Dolly Parton theme park, Dollywood, is located. I asked why they came to Tennessee, they said they came to listen to traditional British music. I was thinking just like the music in the movie Titanic, where the second class was having a party playing the fiddle and banjo which sounds like bluegrass music.
This is not the first time Reba recorded this song, the original song was Reba and Linda Davis. What Dolly referred to the ending of the original... You will love the original, it will give you a bit of a giggle at the end.
Anywhere you can write a comment! I do my best to add every recommendation onto my list, I do have quite a few requests for Tanya already, do you have a favourite I should check out??

Wonderful choice and thank you so much for sharing it. Brilliant performances by both legends. You need to go down the Dolly Parton rabbit trail because it leads you to only wonderful places. I would start with In My Tennessee Mountain Home,r Coat of many Colors or the song She wrote for the hit movie she also a starred in, Nine to Five.
🙏🙏 Mr Taylor, I’m a big fan. Love your reactions (as I’ve commented before). Please 🙏🙏 react to the original video with Reba & Linda Davis. I’m going to wait for your reaction to that. I hope to see this in my Notifications 😃😃
Been checking out your channel sir, and like what I have seen. I am excited for you and your country music journey. If I may, just a couple of suggestions: don't stop the vid. Make your comments after it is finished. And don't stop and edit before you make the comments. It is more genuine in nature and makes for a more interesting reaction. And don't be afraid to be honest. Just tell us why you did or did not like it. My request for your reaction is another brooks and Dunn song. Believe. Great song and video. You will be glad you checked it out. Best of luck with channel sir!
Thank you so much for checking out my channel! It still amazes me that anybody wants to watch at all!! I would honestly love nothing more than to sit back and just watch but whenever I do YT puts a block on the video! I do try my best to keep my interruptions as short and sweet as possible! Also, thank you for your recommendation, a lot of people have mentioned the same video so I’m very excited to check it out 👍🏻
When Dolly mentions 'does she get to blow up something', it refers to Reba's original video of Does He Love You with Linda Davis. Here's the video. Enjoy! BTW, love your reaction on this one. Love this one better than with Reba and Kelly. ua-cam.com/video/FUP9DnurODw/v-deo.html
Hello from Birmingham, AL. Please sir, do yourself a favor, and react to the original version of this song. It's sung with Linda Davis, which BTW is Hillary Scott's mom, thread singer from Lady A,or Lady Antebellum. After you get I ew it,you'll totally get the dolly parton line in this one referring to getting to blow something up!
Hey, that was nicer than I thought! You never know as they age. Both Dolly and Kenny Rogers, besides their own duets ("Islands in the Stream" being the biggest, I think, and "Real Love," etc.), sang several duets together over their careers. If you want to see a young Kenny without grey hair, he was in a band called Kenny Rogers and the New Edition. "Ruby (Don't Take Yout Love to Town)" was a hit song that's well remembered and "Just Checked in (to See What Condition My Condition Was In") - not very country but definitely worth a listen if you feel like it - was in "The Big Lebowski." It's strange to see Kenny with dark hair & so young. Kinda like when Vince Gill was with Pure Prairie League (I mentioned "Aimee (What You Gonna Do)" before, it also has a country sound though, like "Ruby." I also mentioned Martina McBride's duet with Kid Rock ("Picture"). I'm anal. (That looks funny!.) Loretta Lynn and Willie Nelson have a relatively recently recorded duet of "Lay Me Down" you might like. They both sound pretty much the same but I heard Loretta isn't doing well. (I was hoping to see her home, "Hurricane Mills" this Fall but we have a new puppy in the house.) They were friends since Loretta arrived on the scene around '67 (?). I'm sure I & others mentioned he wrote "Crazy." So, he knew Patsy Cline & Loretta goung way back. Also, Billy Ray Cyrus, I know cheesy, had "Achey Brakey Heart," it's corny but fun and was a huge hit. (My cousin by marriage, Bob Cyrus, from TN was his cousin but I never met him or anything.) "Romeo" was a Dolly song from the early 90s and Billy Ray sang some and played Romeo (close families, Dolly is Godmother to that Godless trollop, Miley Cyrus). Not a bad song for Dolly. She has collabs with Alisson Krause, EmmyLou Harris and Linda Ronstadt among many others. Reba has "Fancy," "You Lie," "Somebody Should Leave," "Whoever's in New England," "She Thinks His Name was John," "Consider Me Gone," "What Do You Say," "And Still," "Dear Rodeo" with Cody Johnson, "What If It's You," "What Am I Gonna Do Without You," "I Know How He Feels," "The Last One to Know," "The Heart Won't Lie," "The Greatest Man I Never Knew," "Can't Even Get the Blues," "You're the First Time I Thought About Leaving," "One Promise Too Late," "For My Broken Heart" and with Brooks and Dunn, "If You See Her, If You See Him." Dolly's songs you said you'd heard. Guessing "9 to 5," "Jolene," "I Will Always Love You," (she wrote it, Whitney Houston later recorded it) and "Coat of Many Colors?" I'm sure you've gotten tons of requests, just adding votes. "A Gamble Either Way," "A Little at a Time," "Daddy," "Dumb Blonde," "Daddy Come and Get Me," "Down from Dover," "Daddy's Working Boots," "Daddy's Moonshine Still," a lot of "Daddy" songs, "Traveling Man," "We Used To," "Shattered Image," "The Bargain Store," "Sacred Memories," "Tennessee Mountain Home," "All I Can Do" & "My Blue Ridge Mountain Boy." She has a lot of "charted" songs!! Kenny's votes are for "Lady," (written and recorded by Lionel Ritchie, so not a huge country sound except for his voice), "Islands in the Stream," ("We've Got Tonight" with Sheena Easton & "Don't Fall in Love with a Dreamer" with Kim Carnes are both good duets but neither very country.) "Coward of the County," "All My Life," "Lucille," "Through the Years" & "Twenty Years Ago" are some of his better songs. Sorry so long - AGAIN!! I have fun thinking of these songs...nostalgia! Will try to stay away! (FYI...Dolly got a huge start on "The Porter Waggoner Show" (60s mostly), but I think she was mistreated by him and undervalued. Just mentioning in case you ever want to watch a snippet of that show.) Have a good one!
You got one I haven't seen! I do love Dolly and Reba together. ❤ I'm glad you're planning to check out the original video with Linda Davis, though. Once you do, you'll understand the reference when Dolly asks if she gets to blow something up. Lol. I'm not sure you can compare the two. It's the same song presented in two very different styles. This version is more conversational and Dolly's voice is so completely different than Reba's. Linda Davis' voice is very similar to Reba's and overall the song feels a little "fuller" musically to me. Linda sang with Reba on tour as part of her band, so they blended beautifully and were used to singing together. Toss-up. I like this one a lot, but I'm also very attached to the original. 🤷🏻♀️ Great reaction, though! (It usually doesn't matter that the video is so faint because I'm so familiar with them, but this one was new to me and now I need to go watch it at full viewing strength. I could see just enough to intrigue me as to the interaction between the two!) (And then just for grins, do a search for Reba and Linda, CMA. You'll get to see Reba in her "infamous" red dress that created quite the scandalous stir at the time. She looks quite stunning, but it did cause a bit of talk. 🔥)
As much as I utterly adore Dolly, Linda Davis is so much better in this song. (the original singer to duet this with Reba, also a legend in her own right)
Well, I think Kelly Clarkson did it better---nothing against Linda---but, there's almost no one who can come close to Kelly's power! ua-cam.com/video/TYcciM7owWo/v-deo.html
