A great artist doing " Jesus,Christ Super Star" our high school drama club did a multi media production in a large park outside of Columbia and it was so exciting and the audiences enjoyed the performances!! All was good in my life with that performance as South Carolina is in love with God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost...at least in 1971 they were, now they are gaining in spiritual and nonjudgement and that's quite refreshing!!
I live in Pennsylvania, a swing state. We’re working our butts off! Canvassing, phone banks, text banks, putting yard signs up, voter registration on college campuses, zoom meetings to keep us excited and 🗳️ Alerting everyone about project 25 etc……

Yesterday, Trump's attorney took his case to the NYC Supreme court because Judge Merchan wouldn't recuse himself. The NYC Supreme court sent it back to Merchan giving Trump a big NO to drop his case. I take that as a positive sign.

So moving! I remember JFK'S assassination. Heartbroken little girl. 1968 I remember quite well. I remember RFK'S and MLK's extremely moving speeches. I remember vividly, the demonstrations that were brutally broken up by Police with dogs, and fire hoses. I was a white kid in Indiana. I grew up in a biracial school and local society. I couldn't fathom the anger and hatred that I saw on the TV screen. I so admired these people's ideals and grew up to try, in my little corner of the world, to help and empathize any way I could to make things fair.

If there was ever any question about which side serves the light and which side lives in the shadows, the contrast between the two conventions gives a definitive answer. There was so much hatred, complaining, and negativity from the GOP, all of it based on lie after lie. On our side was love, gratitude, positivity and joy. All the speeches have been meaningful, and some of them moved me to tears. To see so much love and respect shown to President Biden hit me right in the heart. At any other time, the excellence of his leadership, and his personal decency, would have been acknowledged by everyone, though it's been inspiring to see him accomplish so many meaningful work, despite these Trump-poisoned times. Yesterday, Trump's attorney took his case to the NYC Supreme court because Judge Merchan wouldn't recuse himself. The NYC Supreme court sent it back to Merchan giving Trump a big NO to drop his case. I take that as a positive sign.

The contrast in energy between the DNC and RNC could not be more pronounced. I live in Chicago and the energy is palpable. So grateful for ALL the amazing people who care so much about others and about our democracy.

So moving! I remember JFK'S assassination. Heartbroken little girl. 1968 I remember quite well. I remember RFK'S and MLK's extremely moving speeches. I remember vividly, the demonstrations that were brutally broken up by Police with dogs, and fire hoses. I was a white kid in Indiana. I grew up in a biracial school and local society. I couldn't fathom the anger and hatred that I saw on the TV screen. I so admired these people's ideals and grew up to try, in my little corner of the world, to help and empathize any way I could to make things fair.
Same here on almost all counts. And that’s why the We Won’t Go Back chant has sooo much meaning-& is a battle cry.😢 If you lived thru the 60s in America, it was very hard to come out unscathed. We cannot go back-forward, towards JOY is the only way.

Besides the great Obama speeches, Bill Clinton reminded us of what a great orator he is, as they said, you could hear a pin drop, so captivating. Bernie Sanders also needs a shout out for his great summaries of the issues that need to be addressed and rectified. He is so inspiring.

If there was ever any question about which side serves the light and which side lives in the shadows, the contrast between the two conventions gives a definitive answer. There was so much hatred, complaining, and negativity from the GOP, all of it based on lie after lie. On our side was love, gratitude, positivity and joy. All the speeches have been meaningful, and some of them moved me to tears. To see so much love and respect shown to President Biden hit me right in the heart. At any other time, the excellence of his leadership, and his personal decency, would have been acknowledged by everyone, though it's been inspiring to see him accomplish so many meaningful work, despite these Trump-poisoned times.
Thank you for your readings as always, Maryann. I'm not looking forward to the nest few months, but I think you've confirmed what we all knew lay ahead.
