Poem Narration: Motionless in Love
I stood motionless as a statue watching him
as if he were magic itself
for such was the magnificence of his being
i found it impossible to look away.
Which heart would be strong enough to avert its eyes from the Eiffel while in the heart of Paris?
To be so in love with someone that you could just look at them
and experience the sheer joy of life in that one moment.
You want time to stand still for they're too beautiful
and you're afraid if you blinked
you might just miss this opportunity of looking at them
and what if you opened your eyes,
and they weren't there ?
So you pause.
And take them in.
Every little detail.
How their hair curls in all the right places
and how when they smile, little lines appear at the edges of their eyes
and how very kissable their lips look at that very moment
and how fortunate you are to be able to witness that heartbreakingly beautiful laughter
and how the sweet ringing of that sound lingers in your ears even after they are done speaking.
They're so magnificent you find it impossible to look away.
