Loving Hugh Grant sitting second to last in the group looking hungover and hoping if he keeps looking down the teacher won't see him and ask any questions.
To be fair, these questions seem geared more towards long time DnD players, which these guys are not.
The Dungeons & Dragons universe makes the Marvel universe or the DC universe look like a point of ink on paper.
Gosh... now that you mention it I rewatched... yup... he's in need of "hair of the death-hound" (which is the next D&D step beyond 'hair of the dog') 😁
they are lucky to have Hugh and Michelle
Xenk the Paladin is that person who comes over to play for one session, rolls ungodly high in every stat except Wisdom, plays Lawful Good in a Chaotic Neutral party, and Crits multiple times in combat.
Yep it was perfect XD
Sure his dump stat isn't int?
@@burtonmoore996 Depends. His Perception and Insight looked pretty good
@@JaneXemylixa what do you mean? Those are wis based.
@@burtonmoore996 My terminology may be fuzzy. Doesn't dump stat mean a stat you keep low to free up points for other stuff? If so, his Wisdom based skills are rather good for someone with low Wisdom. That's all
I liked that Chris Pine looks to be actually having fun in these interviews as opposed to the Don't Worry Darling ones.
Man don't worry darling was so dissapointing, the trailers looked so interesting but the movie was just alright and the ending made me feel like I wasted my time
Watching Sofia's face whenever the rest of the cast talks about D&D, and you can see anytime someone says something not quite right because her expressions shifts a bit but she doesn't want to speak up. Absolutely hilarious :P
I appreciate Michelle specifically pointing out that there are more campaign settings than just The Forgotten Realms, even if she didn't know the specifics. As someone who loves the Dragonlance setting most, I cannot help but hope that one day other settings will get their time in the limelight in other media... for now, though, super excited to see this romp through Faerun.
I feel you about that. I'm also a huge fan of the Dragonlance world/setting.
Joe Manganiello (also a Dragonlance fan) is trying to produce a Dragonlance based series and he'd also be one of the co-writers for it. Let's hope it'll really happen and that they can do the world of Krynn and all the good stories justice.
Gimme a two-scimitared dark elf with a big kitty cameo and I'll cry in joy.
Toril (FR), Krynn (DL), Exandria (Wildmount), Ravenloft, Greyhawk, and I forgot the name of the world that Acquisitions Inc is from.
@@JnEricsonx How about a very large individual with a hamster?
@@davidhfranz Id take that.
I really love the fact that Michelle Rodriguez seems to genuinely enjoy this promotour unlike with the Fast and Furious movies where she doesn't like to talk about the Fast movies during interviews but talks about things she really is passionate about. One can tell that she was waiting for a movie like this to have fun with, while the Fast movies are just another paycheck to cash in.
Supposedly she was the same during the Resident Evil movies, while they're not that great movie-wise. It's always lovely to see when an actor is incredibly loving of the franchise.
Rege-Jean understands how to play a paladin. excellent.
Just watched this movie and the paladin was my favorite character. Rege-Jean was excellent for that role.
He was brilliant!
He also knows how to interrupt everybody trying to answer their own questions.
Chris's explanation of the game was the best I've ever heard.
Hugh Grant always looks like he'd rather be somewhere else. It actually makes me chuckle.
@@battlesanta1498 What? Such a stupid comment.
the older you get, the more you value what time you have left. that might be part of it. doing all this press stuff usually isn't fun for their profession.
He probably does 😅
@@darkiepoo8949 Maybe they wouldn’t make him do it if he took less millions
@@darkiepoo8949nah… older people just won’t tolerate much to anything nonsense like young people do on daily basis. Aging isn’t cancer you know. Older people got plenty of time left. 😂😂😂
hugh grant sitting there fighting for his life i see u king
😂😂😂
He's probably a bit out of his comfort zone, lol. It is about D and D.
Am I the only one that's eyes hearts for Michelle Rodriguez outfit 😍 ?
Like whoa.
The moment you get to witness with new players as they begin to realize and play OUT their imagination as their mind gets blown by it as it happens is such a fun, interesting thing to witness. I love seeing the Christmas morning like childish excitement it so often unlocks in people!
You can totally tell Chris has done his assignment correctly.
He may not be the greatest D&D fan but he definitely knows what he's talking about
From Palestine, the best adventure movie of 2023 ever
He deserves the Oscars

Dungeons Dragons: Honor Among Thieves 2023
You can see that he gains more knowledge with each interviews. He definitely played more session now than before the filming.
@@user-ou1nt6nc5m Hey man, you still alive and well? Asking for no reason in particular
The whole cast did a fantastic job! Played all the character types perfectly! Love the movie. It was great, silly fun. Highly entertaining!
D&Q is the quintessential actor's game. You have a character with a background and a setting and you play the character to what they would do in those settings. I am really looking forward to this movie and all the actor's showed their characters in this interview.
Just watched this movie. The cast did a fantastic job!
I still can't believe Joe Manganiello isn't in this movie. Hopefully he secretly mo-capped and voiced a Dragonborn or something.
You just know that he WILL be in a further productions of the Franchise ,, it just wouldn't be right without him ,, Like how so many people fought for Rosario Dawson to be Ahsoka Tano.
Im sure we would fight tooth and nail for Joe to be in it even if hes not as Arkhan.
Hes actually building scripts now for D&D .
I have waited 40+ years for this to happen.
isnt he busy with directing the dnd documentary
Why would he be ?
great thing about the film is that is was by far the funniest thing I've seen in a decade and as an rpg player you can do anything with the character and the actors involved all have so much talent. looking forward to the same cast as well new people. I honestly had the most therapeutic laugh ever watching this
Poor Justice saying he's the beauty and Rege just busts up laughing knowing it's actually him 😂
😂😂😂
everyone played their role perfectly, love this cast
My favorite part about D&D is learning how to play, whether thats myself learning or watching someone else learn. Its fun to be bad at the game.
I love the chair Chris Pine is sitting on haha
I love this movie! There were several clever moves that surprise me. I will be buying the DVD! This was so much fun and I want to see it a second time.
"There's some old friends in the film." Yup. Saw that.
Kind of hoping for a Venger biopic now
The fact that they played a cast D&D game makes me love this movie and their performances sooooo much more. Every single one of these folks absolutely killed their roles. Give us a sequel!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited for this movie! I was able to nab a ticket to an advanced screening this weekend and I am basically vibrating with excitement over it!
man, Michelle still looks great. cant wait to see this movie.
I really enjoyed the movie
Olga (Rodriguez) was my favorite character
And Pine can sing. He really can and he seemed to enjoy doing so.
Chris Pineeeeeeee and Hugh Grant, love them..
It feels like the editor had it in for Hugh the reactions after his responses are always cut short! hahah
Hugh's thoughts: "what the hell am I doing here?"
This was such a fun movie. I have been telling people for years that we need to go back to heroes that will drive a yard of steel through a bad guy's gut and laugh in his face. Like Erol Flynn.
They need to have like 12 sequels. Their chemistry is so good.
I'm in a D&D group for disabled adults and they're pretty cool with new players
I'm disabled and looking to play DnD. Do you have Discord?
@@w1ldmount13 No we don't
@@daynamorris2399 oh ok. it's a home game then?
The main ingredient in a good story is the characters. Everything else is just flavoring.
I've been a GameMaster for a long time, started out playing D&D when it was just dice and three booklets. And if there's one thing I've learned, and I hope others can see, is that the game isn't mainly about the world, or the system, it's about the characters. I start a game by getting the characters made, then I base what's going on around their backstories, history, motivations. Making a character is like buying a ticket to a movie. But if you're buying a ticket to an action film and you make them see a movie about an intellectual thriller, you have cheated your audience. You find out what their characters do and want and feel and you make it about that.
I get the interviewer's apprehension about DnD, I want to play more of it, but I'm also afraid of "doing it wrong" that it gives me social anxiety. I want to learn to let this go during campaigns. Also yes, I wanna see this movie!
the cast dynamic's is so awesome! wish they could pull of second movie or maybe even series?
Hugh Grant is definitely hungover :- )) He's trying his best, but he's struggling
You see our question in my gaming group is how have we not had more Dungeons & Dragons movies? This girl asked what more in D&D can we explore? Holy cow girl we just got done raiding smashed up Hammerhead ships floating in space and were attacked by space clowns, SPACE CLOWNS!!! ⛵🤡
Fun interview. Hugh Grant is funny as always!
I love anything Chris Pine is in can’t wait to see it ❤
fun interview, fun dynamic between the casts. i have hope
I honestly got the vibe they dont like each other at all, ("im just here to get payed vibe"). Mabye im wrong.
@@theresurrection6561 i at least knew that they like to tease sophia lillis because of her awkwardness, and it shows event when they first did interviews last year when the first trailer dropped, i just feel that it is a good sign that they teases each others
@@stargazing6011 yeah i could be wrong, might just be the situation of that interview came across a bit akward at times. Heard the movie was great!
Edgin = Brains
Holga = Brawn
Xenk = Beauty (in that everything he does is perfect and polished and aspirational)
Doric = Quick Wits
Simon = Power
guest starring Forge as = ex-Wits
I love Perri and am excited to see this movie!
Love it ! The Day has arrived for D&D ! Best family social interaction you can get out of this game!
You can tell that this group knows how to party.
I personally never felt intimidated when I jumped into D&D for the first time and played with people who knew the game better than me. I actually appreciated that! It also does help to have a really good DM who is the storyteller butt also the referee. And also best thing to do is just go with it. Things don’t always go according to plan, and that’s okay! You could make the best roles ever one day or fail on a constitution check the next. 😊
Thank you for the video
Just thinking that this hot woman in the white dress is the Barbarian and the redhead waif is this awesome Druid and that a Bard is the leader of this ragtag group of NOT- heroes makes it absolutely amazing!
Shades of Vox Machina
I really enjoyed this film hope there is a sequel
Hugh grant: what happened to the kool actors? I'm surrounded by nerds.
"I don't remember the map or what maps we were on in the same world."
Welp folks, that's the Forgotten Realms for ya. It's bigger than you can imagine most of the time.
Ms. Lillis fashion choices are very classy.
Love Sophia,Amazing♥️♥️♥️
Thanks
If you can control your power, you don’t have enough of it.
I'm a casual D and D guy but I really enjoyed the movie !
Thoroughly enjoyed the movie even tho I knew nothing abt D & D!!! 🤗
People always think Hugh Grant is rude. No. He's terribly terribly British
I hope Perri Nemiroff does actually play. If she sees this & is worried about not knowing enough, she could see if there were any groups where everyone was equally fresh to the game OR she find a group that was accommodating to new players. Having new players at your table is fun because they have so much imagination as they aren't hindered by the muscle memory of playing for x years already
And yeah, it comes across that everyone got along really well on set. I'm sure they cut out stuff for length (I want to know what Hugh had to say on politicians lol)
I loved playing D&D
I’ve watched Michelle play characters who always get dirty. But look at her here, so dashing and gorgeous!

Sophie is so cool 💯
"Toxic optimism" is a wonderful new term.
I want to see Dungeons and Dragons Chris Pine makes me krazy!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
WE still need an adaptation of the cartoon D&D.
Yes!!!!
this movie is going to be good, because of the cast.
10:15 Best part, her answer isn't even wrong.
Perri!
I'm ready for another one ...
Same I’m waiting for D&D 2 I want to see them again
Meta movie would be _terrible_ ... I already think the trailer feels _very_ meta without breaking the 4th wall.
Actual D&D players just want a good story told in the world of the Forgotten Realms. Full on immersion. They don't want constant dumb references to game mechanics and player behavior.
That's what The Gamers movie is for... and I agree I think we really need a good D&D movie that goes for a "non-meta" approach 🤣
I agree 100%. I saw this on the 19th and the movie doesn't have any meta-type parts to it. It just plays out like a fun popcorn movie that anyone can enjoy (unless the person comes with biased opinions about what they think the movie should be).
Chris actually plays
Michelle Rodriguez....fine!
Sophia has a lovely voice, she’d make a great seiyu.
Michelle outfit is killer!
After the OGL fiasco, I hope this movie is dope.
Ditto.

Dungeons Dragons: Honor Among Thieves 2023
Quite an impressive interview. After the previous Dungeons & Dragons movie being so generic and not great, I was pretty skeptical, but this looks interesting.
When the first trailer came out, 2 things happened 1) I screamed "GELATINOUS CUBE" 2) then spent 2 hours explaining why Chris' character gets to be a narcissistic, drunken douchebag to my fiancé, he had no idea what a bard is like lol
Bards = acoustic rock stars
I just hope Joe Manganiello makes a cameo.
Best movie ever 😊
I maintain that the most important role in the game is the one that plans.
you know the best moment is when you character pick up a +1 weapon first time.
Dam Chris Pines in this
🤩
One question at a time. You have 6 guests.
There's no doubt that hugh is a lad. However, the potato smashing him in the nose is on of the best hits I've ever seen in any movie and in slo Mo, he did a brilliant job selling it. Look painful too
Sophia Ellis just looks like she's too shy to be there. :D
The marketing team should be blacklisted for doing this movie wrong, this movie got actively sabotaged by its lackluster marketing and i hope the movie is able to make more then it's budget.
the bardic inspiration comes through several times
Please go out and venture together again.😊
Yes, LOTS of maps in D&D. lol
I’m actually here for Hugh Grant. more about him and less about everything/everyone else pls thx.
this interview seems sooo awkward. were they all in a bad mood or what?
the meta movie has already been made, The Gamers: Dorkness Rising 😁
The interviewer might be lying , she’s obsessed but not played? She sounded defensive too when Chris asked her
Nah, not defensive but admittedly ... a lil disappointed in myself. I love watching/experiencing from a distance, but I've got to work on building the courage to get creative and play myself!
to be fair I listened to hundreds and hundreds of hours of DND podacasts and watched a lot of streams etc etc before I ever played, as It can be hard to find a group to play with or convince some of your friends to try it out, especially if you're an introvert. A lot of people are interested in DND and have spent time learning about it, but it can definitely be intimidating to get into
@@PerriNemiroffhi Perri. Great interview. I am in the same boat as you, so I understand. Hope we both get to change and experience games like these ourselves and have lots more fun than just experiencing it from afar. Keep up the good work
Lol Garcia lowkey references the Gamers!
2naglok sudangi visarphi livesinside (RVs)
Fans should watch The Gamers: Dorkness Rising its hilarious 😂😂
I can’t tell if Sophia does know a lot or she knows nothing and they are just winding her up
sophia has played before. she said an interviews that she played an high shcool. she's an introvert and i'm pretty sure the rest of the cast likes to tease her and try to get her to talk
Holga was Uthgard barbarian, why didn't she go werewolf mode.
