I game on a chair from a dinning set that my Granddad made. Never met the man, he died before I was born, but he makes good chairs.
I have a Vertagear SL4000 I'm 5'11" 1 @190 and even with severe back issues L5-S1 lumbar fusion I love this chair. I haven't used any other gamer style racing chairs to compare it but I have used other ergo chairs and the problem with them is none are tall enough to give me head support which takes great stress off my lower back. The only wish I had with my Vertagear is that they used PL instead of PVC leather.

This dude is 100 percent spot on. I bought this chair and it is not comfortable the foam is like sitting on rock and the back area is so flat you never find a sweet spot. Highly regret getting a gaming chair. Found a decent ergonomic chair and will see this chair off.

Great review! You are 195 cm tall and weigh 110 kg (sorry, here in Europe we kinda stick to metric system 😄). The depth of the chair seat is 45 cm. This explains why you feel so uncomfortable - just clearly not your size. On the other hand, my chair for me being 175 cm tall is too uncomfortable because of the sitting depth of 56 cm. Getting to the idea that with my measurements Vertagear PL can be a great replacement option.

I feel it bro. I'm not as tall as you but I'm a big dude and regular chairs simply don't work for me. The only one I found that had high marks for Big & Tall was the Pro XL series from GTOmega. Im 6' and I have to keep it at it's lowest height so my legs won't hang. Plus it's wider and has a higher weight capacity than most similar to the Noble. Perfect for all those full-figured dudes out there.
I can't speak for vertagear but being someone who has owned 2 gaming chairs, I think that fabric is 100% better than PU-leather. With PU you get something that is meant to mimick real leather and in many way's feels like leather but personally If I have to choose between asthetics and comfort I will pick comfort every damn day of the week. Fabric just feels nice on the skin and with all the competetion out there it is hard to know what's good and just like Badseed Tech guy's says no one has the time and money to try em all out. Just my two cent's! Go for fabric are a mix of Pu and fabric.
You need to make a review on the new Secret Lab chairs(either the Omega or the Titan) 2020 edition!!! I think you would love those because they have some really unique and absolutely amazing features! I hope Secret Labs send you one.
I was really looking into those, but for some reason got the massdrop chair instead. I kind of regret my decision. The back is a little stiff and the but area is also a little too stiff.

As a fellow big man (6'3.5" 280) I can say that my Secret Labs Titan was a good investment for me. Feels great, does what I need it to do, supports my weight and height. Also not a bad price for something I'll own for years. Had it for about 3 months. No complaints.
I think the frame is very similar to the Noblechairs Hero. Wouldn't shock me if they were made in the same factory. I'm awaiting a Titan as we speak. 👍

yo bryan. im 6'7 could never find a chair i liked. Herman miller aero size C is 6'3-6'6. unfortunatl your looking at 900-1800. i was very hesisitant at first. best 1800 ive ever spent will never buy another gaming chair or any office chair for that matter. if you ever get the chance to sit in an aeron size C do it. i sit down 14 hours a day and this was literally a game changer for me.

I'm 6' and 300 pound. I got myself a PL6000 and all the "problems'" would be fixed it that one. except the lumbar support, which I never use.
Vertagear should of sent you the PL6000 model. It is meant for us big & tall guys. There are no side bolsters, meant for 6ft or taller people and feels WAY better than the 4500 series. I had to return my 4500 and got the 6000. Still using the 6000 now, a year later.
This chair seems like it is VERY comparable to the Secret Labs Omega and Titan chairs. The Titan, is definitely made for bigger statured guys above 5'10", and I think would have been a better fit for a guy your size. But, moving on, I'd have to say no, the foam that these chairs use does not seem to break in very much. I've had a Secret Labs Titan for about 8 months now after buying into the reviews on their website. I shelled out about $550 after tax, and I gotta say, I think I could have used that money to buy a much more comfortable chair.
Let me just say, it's not the most uncomfortable chair I've ever had, but I honestly don't believe it's as comfy as a $500 chair should be of any sort. After about 8 months of pretty heavy use, it's still pretty stiff. That initial 8 - 15 hours sitting in it really freaking sucks. Your tailbone will not thank you for buying this chair, trust me. I actually resorted to using a seat pillow instead, which proved to be helpful. All in all, like I said, I think there are far comfier chairs that you could spend extended periods of time in, that can also help with keeping posture, for less than $500.
I think if you're actually going to spend $500 for a chair, you might as well make it $1000 and get something wayyyyy comfier, like a Herman Miller.
But, if $500 sounds like a lot to you for a chair, then I'm almost positive that there are a lot of chairs out there around $150 that would make you a lot happier with your purchase, and would be a lot more comfortable for extended periods. After giving it the benefit of the doubt and trying it for the last 8 months, I think gaming chairs are more of a gimmick that play on the prestige of having a Secret Lab, Noble, or DXRacer chair in the gaming world, if that makes sense. There are definitely chairs out there that will last years, are far more comfortable, and cost your wallet and bank account a lot less.
That's my honest opinion. Cold rolled foam should *never* be what you look for in a chair that you're going to spend 4 - 8 or even 10 hours a day in, and that's where a lot of these chairs seem to go wrong.
Agreed, I have a SL Omega and the foam is much too stiff, I too thought it would break in a bit but it hasn't. I use Ergo chairs at work and can sit in those all day without any probs. One of the reasons I went for gaming chair was the ability to fully recline while chilling which is nice as most ergo chairs don't do this as they are meant for work of course. Like you say the chair isn't terrible but not quite as good as some make out.

Yeah, I think they're just a gimmick. I mean, it definitely feels solid like it will last the next 5 years, but does that 5 years really matter if it's uncomfortable the whole time? Probably not lol. I think I'm just gonna accept that I took a loss on it and sell it for $200 somewhere, and then use that money towards a used Herman Miller ergo chair. Just seen a used one for about $300, which is a damn good deal considering they're $1100 - $1500 brand new.
@@DarkTranqz Yea I was thinking along the same lines. The bummer about Herman Millers etc.. is companies can write them off against tax returns as an equipment expense and I think that's why they can ask for such a high amount for them.

Yeah that's definitely true. They are used almost exclusively in office building environments and it makes sense that they would be written off as business expenses and therefore have that extra premium price.

Just a little side note Amazon provides many vertagear chairs not listed on vertagears website but also the prices on Amazon tend to be less are more depending on the product. That alone makes things look a bit sketchy but that's not to say the chairs are bad and I definitely like the esthetics of the chairs especially the look of the PL4500 Swarovski chair but when you get down to it Secretlab seems to be the dominating force but If you go that route it may be best to upgrade to the fabric are real leather as PU can crack n peel over time. Aside from that If you want quality and something cheap and reliable Autonomous chairs look very promising.

Word of advise. Go to staples, office depot or any furniture store and sit in every damn chair. Find out which is the most comfortable to you.
Imo the chair is awesome, you’re right its kinda stiff but my posture while gaming is more comfortable than with my last chair. It was a dxracer
I bought this chair and it’s superb mate? Super easy to assemble and the cushioning I will admit was very firm at the beginning but now two weeks in and it’s more comfortable then my old EPIC Hero chair. My only gripe is the lumbar pillow needs to be on a strap!
Vertigear has some good stuff! But I love my SecretLab Chair!

As someone who has had a vertagear chair, I personally advise against them. I had the 6000 series (The biggest throne they make), and it was busted in 6 months. Feet fell apart, tilt mech broke, and the seat foam... well it sucked. Was gone in like 4 months. Spend that chunk of money on a nice office chair, or buy one herman miller that'll last you the life of multiple "Gaming Chairs"

@@badseedtech I'm 6'2 and the steelcase gesture was a pretty solid option for me. I switched from a larger maxnomic and it helped with some of my back pain
Edit: I started with the embody and it was an immediate no go without the headrest

I've looked into the Vertagear chairs and the reviews said enough, nearly all had the same experience as you did - minus the fake review on Amazon for this model. Noble and Secret Labs make some of the best on the market next to MassDrop's Flex Task (my uncle is loving my MD chair currently and is 6'3" which says alot for an ergoesk chair). I used to be a fan of the "Gaming" chairs but as I get older I've swayed towards the ergo and more professional appearance chairs (Nobel and Secret have very professional appearance to some of their chairs too).

The 2 year warranty is complete bs imo, I own the PL6000 and the chair is cut on the right seat and the “high quality” stitching just started to rip, I’m out of warranty by 5 months and now I’m looking for something that is actually comfortable. This chair was hard as a rock the entire time I owned it and tbh I was to excited and blind to finally getting a gaming chair that I completely sacrificed comfort and when I went to the gaming store the other day and sat in the other chairs, I realized how much I’ve been missing out. Feelsbadman really thought I was getting something good when shooting the money out.

So glad that I found this video, I was currently looking at the sl5000 Vertagear x NZXT collab chair; I have read a few good reviews along with a few bad ones but basing off of this video I think I will shy away & give my money to SecretLab. Loved the video & I will definitely be subscribing!

I know this video isn't about headphones but what do you think you my next headphone upgrade, I currently have the Hyperx Cloud Stringer look for a headphone mainly for gaming specifically for positional awareness and footsteps, it doesn't matter if it's open back or close back (btw never tried open but I wouldn't mind trying them) I would like headphones under $150 I currently also don't have a mix, my thoughts were the Phillips SHP9500, HD 598 or maybe the AD 700x but I wanted to be sure with someone who knows more about audio than I do
Since your're a guy right around my size and it's always a concern trying one of these style chairs without seeing them ahead of time, would love to see you try out the secret lab titan and get your thoughts on that chair as I have been thinking that might be a good fit. But of course its a spendy piece to just throw down on without knowing if it's going to work out for a guy 6'5 and 260.

Then watched this review knowing that you were likely to compare this Vertagear to the ICON, but then you mentioned you're now using a Noblechairs Hero. $379 on Amazon. But if you are bigger, like me, the P-Line 6000 series holds up to 440 lbs, and several can be bought on Amazon for $439, in 5 monthly payments of $88.00. I don't personally own one, so can't vouch for it.

People should skip buying these race car chairs and get something thats quality and made to sit in for hours on end, that chair is a professional office chair. They're expensive brand new, but you can find them used for under 200 typically maybe a bit north of 200. They're called Herman Miller aeron. They come in 3 sizes, A, B and C. B is the one for most people, C is for larger, heavier people and A is for small petite men and woman. I've mine for almost 16 years and i've only changed the wheels on it, not because they broke because of the type of floor my desk is on now. and I paid $100 for it then. Seriously, check them out.
