    Sheri you look terrific! I enjoyed your update. Staying healthy here in Northern CA. Just mentioned to a friend I’m thinking about oil painting again. Now I’m inspired! 🎨

      Yay! So glad that you got extra inspired to go back to oil painting! The very medium I ever tried oil paint in my late teens and early twenties. I was renting a room in DC from a lady who painted. I saw a picture on her wall and said how much I loved it. She said come downstairs and I will teach you to paint it. So that was my very first time painting anything! I have a close friend Inland of the Bay Area whose son is an EMT. She has been telling me how bad covid cases have been in that area and that you guys are always more locked down than we are on the East Coast. So glad you're staying safe! Me too! ❤

    My favourite type of content Sheree…so lovely to see your artwork…it’s a joy to create isn’t it? I’ve been learning to knit again for the last couple of years, there is so much more to creating something than just the end product. Love the red lip pie on you…it’s all your face needs! Look forward to you sharing further artwork with us. Love from Australia xxx

      I have had depression for at least the last 15 to 20 years and I've noticed that the medication I take for it seems to dampen not only my creativity but my desire to create. So this class giving my creativity a new spark is exactly what I needed! And yes, it's a joy to create! ❤

    Sheri, so good to see you..You look wonderful!! I loved seeing your artwork!! I am happy you have a nice group of women to take the class with..We have been staying home...The virus is all around us..my daughter has had it and my son just getting over it..Ray is still having trouble with his knee too..He is bone on bone the other one but says he won't have it done..Sheri, the house Ray and I moved from, and we rent out..has two foxes living in an old barn on the property...they sure are pretty..Somehow they got under the house and tore up some of the heat and air ducts...cost us around $6000 to fi it...I am not sure where they came from...The house is kinda in the country..but it is pretty populated..I am hoping 2022 is a better year for me..It was hard for when my kids got covid and I couldn't go see them...Pray for our family and I will keep you in my prayer, my friend..Love ya Loretta

      So happy to hear from you my friend! Sorry to hear about your kids having covid. I'm sure that was tough to know they were sick and not be able to see them. I sympathize with Ray. From the time I had my first knee replacement in the fall of 2016 to the end of 2020, I said I would not have the other knee replaced. However, it got so bad I literally could not walk. I was blessed at that time that Missy was gone and I didn't have to go walk her four times a day like I did the year before my 2016 replacement. I miss her so much. It's been over a year-and-a-half since she passed, and it still doesn't seem real. If I had not had this knee surgery and resulting ongoing pain, I would have already had another dog. But now, I don't know if I could walk the dog four times a day. And riding my bike is no help now because it is excruciating to ride my bike. Maybe it won't be by the time the weather starts getting nicer but it was right before winter started. Quite a few friends are trying to get me to adopt a cat. I don't have anything against cats but I've never had one so I just don't know. Plus I'm pretty sure when I had my allergy testing done, they said I was allergic to cat dander. Love you and bless you for always checking in on me. You have no idea how much I appreciate it! ❤

    🙋‍♀️ Hi Sheri! I'm so happy to see you. You look great! Don't apologize for living your life, but you've been missed.
    Happy New Year to you! The holidays didn't go as planned. My grandchildren and my son got covid a few days before Christmas. So no Christmas together and that made me sad. I had decorated everywhere. And the Christmas tree came out especially nice. It was a bummer. But everyone is fine and that's what matters. Then my cousin passed away on the 5th of January. I was away for a week supporting the family. Then I came back to taking down all the Christmas stuff and I got the brilliant idea to rebox all my decorations in new ones. Alot of organizing. But it was worth it. That's 2 weeks ago. And then I started feeling sick. The symptoms were a bit like omicron. So then I tested and it was negative. The cough subside and I'm still nursing my tummy. But otherwise, I'm okay. I've been watching but not commenting. I hope to be back at it soon. I miss you all. Love the beautiful mature ladies community so much. I miss the back and forth in the comments. I could never watch you and nor comment, because you haven't been around.
    I love your shirt. I have a fox that comes to visit now and again in my backyard. We named it Foxy Loxy. Who knows the gender? Lol..Love your artwork. I haven't worked with pastels in years. I love them.
    Keep on keepin Sheri. Loved seeing you. Big hugs! 🤗 ❤

      Mary! So good to see your name in my comments as always. I'm so sorry that your Christmas didn't go as planned, but as you I said, what is important is that your family is fine now. I didn't even decorate for Christmas this year. But I did have a neighbor over for Christmas dinner. That's great that you have your own Fox to admire! That's how my love of foxes began, by having a den of red foxes outside my porch window. Missy and I used to watch them all the time. She would bark to get their attention and when they looked over, I would be ready with my camera! We were a great team and I miss her so much! ❤

    Great to see you looking fabulous Sheri! Your art group sounds lovely, love wren with attitude! I've just been looking after my dad 24/7 haven't seen a friend in person since Feb 2020, big hug to fellow carers out there, it can be lonely and isolating at the best of times, husband working as normal, looking forward to better times and getting some seeds planted in the garden and a little sunshine to bring it and me back to life, much love my friend xo 🥰💖

      It is so wonderful to hear from you my dear! Caring for a parent can indeed be lonely and isolating. I have not done it myself yet but I have very close friends who have gone through it for several years. It totally changed the personality of my friend Jean when her mom was living with her and started to have dementia. 2021 was very isolating for me until my art course came along in the fall. Between Jean moving away, Missy dying and my little sister leaving the Big Brother Big Sister program, I went from having social activity to having none. Do you have a sibling who could give you a break even for a week? I hope so. Hugs! ❤

      @@homehelpheart7440 thanks for your kind words Sheri, I'm an only child and so is my dad, no family but him and I on his side, my last aunt, my late mum's sister died in lockdown 2020 from lung cancer that had spread to her brain, I didn't get to see or help care for her because of restrictions, only 8 people at the funeral, I've many blessings (especially my wonderful husband) and I count them every day, sorry didn't mean this to sound like a downer but it's just how things are in life sometimes, I know you've had a tough time of late too, hugs my friend, better times will come xo

      I don't remember the first Moderna vaccine making me sick, but boy, the 2nd Moderna and the Moderna booster knocked me on mu BUTT! I'm amazed when so many people I know tell me they had absolutely no reaction to any of the vaccines or boosters. ❤

    Oh dear that’s awful about your reactions to the vaccinations. I have had all 3 vaccinations ~ mine were all Pfizer ~ and no reaction except for a very minor sore arm for a day. My husband also got all 3 vaccinations and 2 weeks ago he got Covid! It was really just like a mild cold. I was lucky I didn’t get it. I am 76 and he is 78. I still have a it of pain walking up and down stairs (I have had both knees replaced) and I faithfully did all my exercises and physical therapy. The surgeon says it could still get better. I like your FOX sweat top! Your paintings are really good, you should be proud of yourself.

    • @homehelpheart7440
      @homehelpheart7440  2 роки тому

      I think in general, reactions were worse with the moderna than with the Pfizer, but one of my other subscribers just told me that she had a week-long reaction to both her Pfizer vaccines and has not had the booster because of it. Unfortunately, there are breakthrough cases of people getting covid after having the vaccine. However, those cases are usually very minor compared to what you would get if you did not have the vaccine. I totally hear you about the knee pain even having had both knees replaced. I am in the same situation. Hugs! ❤
