    Your videos really make me appreciate the scope of John Wesley's achievement. He travelled on horseback and continued preaching all over England well into his 80s. At the time of his visit to Messingham he was already 69. Incredible energy! Rector is a historical term, and today vicar and rector are basically the same thing as you stated.

      He was certainly dedicated that's for sure! I thought rector and vicar were pretty much the same. That makes sense in another way too - generally when I find old rectories they tend to be older buildings than vicarages. Stands to reason now
