i just scored a Laser in Prince Edward County and I brought it home to Niagara - I'm super excited to sail it as is, but making it pretty like yours is going to be my winter project.
Yes Steve, It was a big challenge but we did it. Also it was very good team work with my son. Now he has a newer Laser Sailboat so I took over this one. Enjoying every minute. THX
Great video! I do worry about the daggerboard casing not being reinforced enough - I noticed there is already a hatch cut in the cockpit. It may be worth adding a bit of fiberglass on the inside around the bottom of the case. Also, don’t forget to put in your sail battens! ;)
I have a question to ask. You might think that that is a bad choice of ruining what it is meant to be but I wonder if you could turn an old sailboat like yours into a small skiff for Rivers? What do you think?
@@DimitryVideoBOSS thank you for responding. The only reason why I ask is because I was given a free small sailboat about maybe 8 to 10 ft long and instead of using it for ceiling I figured I can maybe modified to turn it into a small skiff for small rivers the. There's one guy on the internet that attempted to do that with a small sailboat like yours but he post videos every year. Not exactly willing to wait every year for a new video.
@@80ajflores My boat is a bit bigger. It's 14f by 5f. And to do what you want you need to know inside structure of your boat. I don't think it's gonna work with laser. We've been given another Laser sailboat. Someone donated it to us. So we gonna fix it in the spring.
@@80ajflores hi mate I wouldn’t suggest that as a skiff is a completely different style of boat. I sail a 29er take a look at a blaze if you want a good singlehanded skiff!

レーザー最高✨
日本ではマイナーだけどセーリングは楽しいし、台風とか嵐が来ると海に出たくなる⤴️
Brilliant to watch this
Such a lot of work and from what a lot would deem as a scrap hull
Just got a pico and so much fun

Hi, out of curiosity - what is your's Laser hull/sail number? :D
I have a question to ask. You might think that that is a bad choice of ruining what it is meant to be but I wonder if you could turn an old sailboat like yours into a small skiff for Rivers? What do you think?
Well.... I think it's possible but with a different boat
