Nice to see a reactor recognizing Screaming Jay, you are only the third of a good hundred I watched. If you decide to more of her you'll see its not her voice fitting to the song, the other way around in fact. She's putting on styles and voices like a dress. No matter if Billy Holiday, Frank/Nancy Sinatra, Adele, Lana del Rey, Rihanna, Freddy Mercury, Whitney Housten (and many more).
If you fancy meaningful song texts, check out Million Miles (Lyrics video). If you've lost a loved one this will be highly relatable.

This performance, as amazing as it is, really only hints at what she can do. This is Angelina in Beast Mode. Great fun, to be sure, and definitely one for the time capsule… but it's not at all typical of what she does (apart from its jazzy feel, and the confidence with which she tackles the song). First off, she never went so hard on a vocal ever again (even when singing this same song live, later on), and she rarely ventured anywhere near this vocal style in her other covers (the few times she did will definitely be among the recommendations you will be getting, so there's no need for me to list them here). What _is_ more-or-less typical about this is that she took a song very few children of her age would even know about, much less want to sing, and made arguably the definitive cover of it. She tends to do that a lot. [grin]
One of the most amazing things about her is how consistently excellent she has been since her public debut on _Norway's Got Talent_ [Norske Talenter] when she was 7. I _highly_ recommend you go through her 4 performances on that show, in order, sometime soon (they can be found as videos 2-5 in Rusty Shackleford's chronological AJ-favorites playlist ua-cam.com/play/PL2v8kgVeo4EbYDVnRwObjETfWpXbzbgIO.html - of course, you can also start with #1 on that list, if you'd like [grin] - and you might want to use this longer version of her "Gloomy Sunday" audition: ua-cam.com/video/d3gSho9yf88/v-deo.html because it contains more pre-song footage of her, giving more context to the perfromance, plus it has much better English subtitles than the version in Rusty's list). You'll see in these performances how she has "always" been every bit as confident as she comes off in this video you just watched. And you'll see her go from "surprisingly good for her age" in her audition to "simply an amazing singer, regardless of her age" by the time the competition was over, a mere 6 months later. (She won with 46% of the nationwide audience vote, in a field of 10 final acts. That gives you some indication of how good she was.) Since then, she has delivered one outstanding performance after another. And the higher the stakes, the more she seems to rise to the occasion. She has never seemed "in over her head" or even particularly stressed, regardless of her age or the circumstances. Live TV at 8? No problem. Before a crowd of 40,000 South Koreans at 10? Yes, please. Singing for Quincy Jones at his 85th birthday celebration at 12? You had me at "singing". [wink]
Anyway… I kind of got off on a tangent, there. My point is: her very best stuff spans her entire career, from her public debut (if not earlier) to the present day. Even if I narrowed it down to my 2 favorite performances of hers, it would still range from 8 to 13. (As others have pointed out, she is currently 14 years old, about to turn 15 on January 10th, and released her first major-label single earlier this month). At every age in between, there are huge "tentpole" performances where she blows the doors off, and there are intimate, achingly beautiful performances. Her stuff is all over the map in terms of genre (reaching even into country, disco, and modern EDM), time period (spanning the last 90 years of popular music), and faithfulness to the original (when speaking of her covers, specifically - from near carbon copies to almost unrecognizable).
It's a wild ride. Buckle up, and enjoy…

Not have yet heard anything by this female vocalist to date, and her being just nine years of age. The first impression that struck me was that of a protege of the next Janis Joplin. Now I will have to listen to her other material in order to dissuade from that premise, if I am indeed in error.

    • @markburrows1179
      @markburrows1179 3 роки тому

Well, I have followed a number of her videos, and it appears she has lost the grit she put into that nine year old voice and matured it more into the typical pop/jazz/rock infusion mostly with a pop-crooner approach, you know, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Michael Buble. Still she carries a distinction to her voice which reminds me of the Scottish male singer-songwriter vocalist Paolo Nutini. What? That doesn't sound like a Scottish name! Well it isn't. His father is Italian but his mother is Scottish and Paolo was born and raised in Scotland. Scotland being the home to a hoard of great vocalists. Ian Anderson flautist and vocalist for Jethro Tull, Jack Bruce bass player and vocalist for Cream, David Bryne of Talking Heads, Donovan Leitch, Dean Ford of Marmalade (Reflections of My Life), Colin Hay; yes that Colin Hay from the Australian band Men at Work was born in Scotland and lived there until the age of 14 before his family immigrated to the land down under, Alex Kapranos although born in England his family migrated to Scotland when he was only 2 months old and because lead vocalist and a founder of the band Franz Ferdinand, Jim Kerr of Simple Minds, Alex Ligertwood who was often a lead vocalist for Santana (Carlos Santana didn't care to sing), Eric Woolfson who Alan Parsons collaborator in Alan Parsons Project and sometimes vocalist, Ray Wilson who got a crack at replacing Phil Collins when he left Genesis but only managed one album with them, Hamish Stuart bass player and vocalist of the Average White Band, Derek Shulman of Gentle Giant, Chris Rainbow who was a guest singer for Alan Parsons Project, singer-songwriter and vocalist Gerry Rafferty who started out with a group called Stealers Wheel that only recorded 3 studio albums with one hit "Stuck In the Middle With You" and then Rafferty went solo, Craig and Charlie Reid who are twins who called themselves The Proclaimers, Frankie Miller who is a female singer-songwriter who mostly recorded solo albums but was also popular choice for male artists who wanted a female for a duet, Jimmy McCulloch who was alternative bass and guitar player for Paul McCartney's band Wings as well as doing both lead and backing vocals, Dan McCafferty lead vocalist for Nazareth, and there are many, many, many more. These are just the ones I identify with the most. Now the one singer who paraded about as if he was Scottish was none other than Rod Stewart. Well, true he had a Lowland Scottish father, but and English mother, and Rod was born in England. If one goes back to the time of Bonnie Prince Charles, there were the Highlanders who were the true clans of northern Scotland and devoted Catholics, but not so much devout. Otherwise they wanted a proper Catholic descendant on the British throne, and Scotland happened to have them in spades. Yet Highland Scots were basically Catholics on Sundays and at Mass. Now, the Lowlands of Scotland were dominantly Protestant and also loyalists to the British throne which had been the Church of England since the reign of Henry the VIII. So there was much conflict and civil dispute between the Highlanders and the Lowlanders of Scotland. Then finally the battle of Culloden in 1746? (if I remember correctly) when the British army defeated and wiped out most of the Highland clans. Well, they killed everyone at that battle and chased down those who fell back and murdered them as well. Then the decided to push well in to the north of Scotland and attempt to eradicate the rest of the Highland clans. Well, let's not forget, that the Roman Empire some 1700 years previously attempted that, and kept knocking down walls to discover that there was no one behind said walls, so they gave up and returned south. Finally the Romans left stating, these Britons can not be tamed or ruled. Yet they left behind all of their technology in building roads, viaducts, canals, sewage systems, and both Latin and Greek which was developed for the most part into early and modern English. Yet latter, the Scots still proved to be evasive and hard to find if they didn't wish to be found. Many of them moved more into the Hebrides Archipelago of which few had interest because it was for the most part, barren, cold and windy. Hell on earth if Hell was a frozen wasteland. Well the Hebrides is not frozen all year around, and today is much more resourceful. Others migrated to Ireland, some to France, Spain and Italy, some to America, but were ill treated by the colonists because they were Catholic, and a great many settled in Canada because no one cared what your religion was, besides, there were a whole lot of French folk there and they are fanatic Catholics. Yet the Scots preferred The Maritime provinces of Nova Scotia (New Scotland), Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick and many also settled in Newfoundland/Labrador province. Where one can still hear a strong Scottish brogue. Enjoy Scottish traditional entertainment, music, dancing, food, and sporting events. Not a place for novice drinkers or drunks without a sense of humor. When Scots get into a donnybrook (which is a grand topic to fight about, because the Irish claim it's their term because they have the town of Donnybrook, and the Scots claim that the town would not exist if Scots had not migrated there), it is usually all in good fun. They will brawl and knock each other senseless, get up, complement each other for a good fight, get a drink, have a toast, laugh, tell stories until the next inane disagreement comes about, then out comes either the fisticuffs or some fine wrestling.
Er, sorry for the history lesson, my weakness, anyway, Rod Stewart was not a native of Scotland. Neither was WWF/WWE Wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper, who was from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, but became a favorite character and it didn't matter if he was in hero or villain role, he was a fan favorite.
Yet I did make a musical omission on purpose, that was the group, "Bay City Rollers" You would have had to been there. This group was being hyped and widely promoted way before even a sample of their music was even released, well, not as far as in North America where they were building the hype. They were heralding them as, "The Next Beatles!" or "The Biggest Group to Hit Since The Beatles!"
Okay, the marketing worked and made an initial impact, but to a very limited demographic, and that being of preteen, and early teen bubble gum chewers. Who's parents supplied them with disposable cash to buy records, mostly singles, play jukeboxes which were everywhere, and of course at no cost to flood the radio stations to request songs. Yes, this is how they measure what are hits and how they managed to climb the charts. Hey, Tiny Tim's version of "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" charted at #17! How insane is that? Point being is Bay City Rollers were not what they were hyped up to be. Simple as that. Please do not jump on me if you existed within the the teenybopper gap when you felt that the Bay City Rollers were the best things on the planet. They were not. They were from Edinburgh. Edinburgh is not what you call a rockin' place. You have to go to Glasgow for that action. Hey! Television host Craig Ferguson was from Glasgow and was a drummer in a Punk band, called The Bastards From Hell, who became The Dreamboys and the lead vocalist was Peter Capaldi, who some might know him as the 12th incarnation of Dr. Who. Yep, those two were as thick as thieves, and if you have read Ferguson's biography, well, enough said.
Yet, there is still hope for Angelina Jordan, because she is still young, extremely talented, and has yet to fully develop her vocal abilities. I can see she is trying too hard to maintain control while throwing her own unique style with the endless string of cover songs. If she could only fold back into the depth of the Blues, which, "I Got a Spell On You" is most definitely is, even though the man who first penned and performed the song, Screaming Jay Hawkins, more or less released it as a novelty song for Halloween. It sure doesn't sound that way when done by Nina Simone and even more impressive, the version by Creedence Clearwater Revival that really pushes it as a power blues song.

You could also do a comparison of her audition on Norway's Got Talent of Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday" with the original Holiday version. Or you could just check out the original on your own, to see who Angelina was emulating on that song. This Hawkins cover is the only one where she uses growls etc., and you can detect Billie Holiday vocal mannerisms on "Gloomy Sunday". If you check out the "Gloomy Sunday" be sure to get the one with the English subtitles so you can see what the judges are saying. She grew up singing along with her grandmother's record collection.

Altogether these following performances show that whether rehearsal, on TV, live concert or studio, Angelina pretty much gives stellar performance. They also show maturing of her voice and slight changes Angelina made in her performance of this song from when 9-year old to 12-year old:
---- you reacted here to video when Angelina as 9-year old did studio performance of I Put A Spell On You. Incredible as sounds much older than she was at time. The link again: ua-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/v-deo.html
---- as 11-year old (sung on Little Big Stars German TV show that shows significant growth in her voice: ua-cam.com/video/eASqvRGt46k/v-deo.html)
---- as 11-year old (sung live as bonus song for audience at Muse in City festival, in Seoul, South Korea. Angelia had finished her set, there was long interval before Norah Jones was to start her set. Norah asked if Angelina could give them one more song, so she came back and did this: ua-cam.com/video/HUTzYhGQEvM/v-deo.html)
---- as 12-year old (Angelina sung at 2018 Kongsberg Jazz Festival in Norway that is 3 years after original studio recording. Notice how her voice had matured. Unfortunately, there is only audio recording with some brief video of Screamin' Jay Hawkins, original singer of song, at beginning and picture slides of original video recording overlaid into this new video: ua-cam.com/video/zdFjajHFAOA/v-deo.html)

Angelina is special for a few different reasons. In a world where singers increasingly compete against each other by who belts higher and longer, Angelina (and a few others) is all about the musicality, the message, the emotion, and the art. She hasn't been pushed by fame hungry parents, but has on the contrary had to beg for them to let her compete and perform. She started very young, and first fell in love with something as unconventional as jazz. While most kid singers try to imitate Rhianna or Adele or Gaga or whoever, Angelina consumed jazz records and sang the late greats. And when she sings, she sings emotion. She cannot at her young know the feelings that many of these songs convey, and yet she feels, and lets us listeners feel those emotions. She's also a very kind, compassionate and loving person. She wants to be a super star, sure. But not in the same superficial way that most pop singers dream of. The main drive is her love for music, and the art itself. Not the dream of fame and fortune. And that shows.
This song is atypical for her, but shows her skill and versatility. Other songs where she showcases her singing power would be e.g. Feeling Good and It's a Man's World. She seldom belts high, but can do that too, as showcased in I Will Always Love You. But usually, she sings softer, more slowed down. So far she's done a lot of covers and a few originals, and almost all are very good, with some being fantastic. So a lot to choose from. For more amazement of the child prodigy aspect, as well as some excellent jazz, the Norway's Got Talent songs are a good place to start. Her three songs on America's Got Talent, the Champions are all great and showcase what she can do now. I'm Still Holding out for You is a fantastic song with a bit of contraversial background. And the rest she's done there in between is so good that you could pick anything and chances are that it will be great.

There are several approaches to getting into AJ. She has a large catalog of covers on her channel, as well as several original songs. She started her career on Norway Got Talent at 7 years old, so many folks like to go back and check out her songs from that show (Gloomy Sunday, Summertime, Bang Bang) to get a feel of the 'young' Angelina. Her popularity really expanded when she appeared on AGT The Champions, so some folks like to check out her songs from that show first (Bohemian Rhapsody, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Someone You Loved). She has a jazz album called 'It's Magic' recorded with the top military band in Norway that is quite good. She has many great live performance vids along the way as well ( It's a Man's World, What a Difference a Day Makes, A Million Years Ago). She has very recently signed to a label and released a single that she wrote the lyrics for, and it's amazing. Like I said, many ways to go...chronological from old to new, chronological from new to old, just picking your favorite songs from among her covers, seeking out all her originals first, etc. I do highly recommend the new single it's called 'Million Miles'. Whichever way you go, you can't go wrong with our barefoot angel.

The Angelina rabbit hole is deep, but sweetly traveled. I've been working on cataloging her videos. So far I have 132 songs, covering 84 different artists. Some of those songs have multiple performances at different ages and/or venues, resulting in more than 200 performances.
Angelina loves jazz and Billie Holiday is her favorite singer. She is often compared to Amy Winehouse, but I really don't see that. She is very much her own singer and has her own approach to songs. One of her main strengths is her ability to interpret lyrics and deliver songs conveying the emotion that the writer intended. Oh, by the way, she has four (so far) original songs that she either wrote or co-wrote.
    Enjoy the ride.

👩🏻🎤🎵🌎⭐️🇳🇴❤️ Thanks Daniel for a great first reaction to Angelina. I first heard her on January 6th of this year. It was her performance of Bohemian Rhapsody on America's Got Talent-The Champions. I was so blown away that I have listened to her every day since then, and she has become my favorite singer. Yes, she was 9 in this performance, and she won Norway's Got Talent when she was just 8. It was great to hear a reaction by someone who knows the Screamin Jay Hawkins version of the song. Welcome to Angelina's world. Buckle up if you are going to take this ride down the rabbit hole of over 120 covers and other videos that she has recorded between the ages of 6 and 14 which is her current age. She has already established herself as an accomplished Jazz artist. Her preferred genre is Jazz but she has done covers of about every genre you can name. What you will find in Angelina is a vocalist who doesn't do vocal gymnastics, she simply and beautifully interprets the story and meaning of the song and pours her soul into every performance.
Another thing about Angelina is that she is completely in control of the music she sings. She picks the songs and arranges them herself the way she wants them to be done. In the "I put a spell on you" video, when she was 9 years old, she is seen handing some written notes to the band director. The were her "wishes" about changes she would like in the arrangement.

Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. She has performed everywhere from small weddings of a few people, to London's O2 stadium with 40,000 people. She performs at jazz festivals, conferences, and charity benefits. At the age of 14, she is a seasoned performer with 8 years of recording and performing. Many of her live performances when she was 10, 11, and 12 years old blow away even the original adult performers of the songs she sings. She is definitely worth your time to experience and get to know. She has covered Sinatra, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Queen, Miley Cirus, Patsy Cline, James Brown, Lana Del Rey, Norma Jones, Adele, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Screamin Jay Hawkins, and many more. Here is a good sampling of my favorites of hers that cover a variety of genres and ranges. I have included some of her live rehearsal sessions which actually blow away other performers produced releases
This is just a short list and other fans of Angelina will have the same length list with different songs. I have rarely heard one of her performances that I have thought was not up to par. There are three of her original songs in this list that you will love as well.

Welcome to Angelina's world Daniel. We told you!!! Angelina often picks songs not appropriate for a young girl. With Amy Winehouse covers, she completely rewrote the lyrics. She is a music prodigy and the only child vocalist who evokes tremendous emotion into her songs. Her physical body may be 9 but her soul is older than the hills. She is the definition of an old soul. She is on a mission to improve the quality of life for everyone on Earth but especially for the poor children. She has already helped to raise millions of dollars for children's charities. As she says in the song, I don't care if you don't want me, I am yours right now. Angelina is one in 10 billion. Here is the story of why she performs barefoot.
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina befriended this girl who was wearing soiled clothing and no shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina so moved by the poor girl, took off her favorite sea green ankle boots and gave them to the poor shoeless girl. Angelina promised the girl she would perform barefoot until every child on Earth has shoes. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
Angelina asked her mother to enter her in Norway’s Got Talent (NGT) at age 5 but that talent show had a minimum age requirement of 7.
Angelina at age 6 did record a few songs in a recording studio, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 6 year old.

I enjoy your reactions and analyses Daniel, so to see you flabbergasted by my favourite artist was a real treat! Having seen most of her covers it's apparent that, not only does she have a prodigious talent, ear and ability to sensitively interpret many classic songs, she has a real respect for them ( ua-cam.com/video/nBGMQ9Kx9iI/v-deo.html for example). So much so that it's often worth listening to the original before Angelina's cover. It also becomes clear that through her preteen years she has been testing herself, and showing herself fully able, in many music genres ( a few shockingly good and wide ranging ones are ua-cam.com/video/LXknLZDoRVQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/HEm7tGrjIKk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/ZSfgCIGd7k4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/5IAMF4FDfw4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/fJ9eu7qBiwQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/eTcvvO6B3Io/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/EBI7Km3z7-U/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/DNU-HcLuO_I/v-deo.html ...) Then there are her wide ranging originals! ua-cam.com/video/Bo3mhxPM-uA/v-deo.html gives you some Robert Burns for example! She signed for Republic Records in August (at 14 years) and I wish her every success with them.

You've done it now. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (120+ covers and original songs) and you will see! It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Queen to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Etta James to Miley Cyrus (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music , listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You felt a little of that in this performance. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by herself on piano, in front of studio professional musicians or a 100 piece military band. With her immense vocal toolkit, arranging ability (yeah, that too, since about 8yo or so) and the work ethic to make what she does only 'seem' effortless, she will hopefully be touching hearts for a long time to come.
Why God has performed the miracle of touching the world with one of such talent, musical IQ, commitment, and generosity as Angelina we can wonder but we must all marvel. Welcome aboard the AJ train! React to more of her impressive library of work (at the ripe age of 14yo)! Listen to her new original single with Republic Records called "Million Miles". You won't be sorry.

That was an awesome reaction. I am personally nominating you for Reactor of the Year and Angelina Fan Hall of Famer for your ability to recognize Screamin’ Jay Hawkins on that candle. I’ve probably watched dozens of reactions to the performance and I’m pretty sure you’re the first I’ve seen him pull that off. 😃 Attach a rope to your waist before entering the Angelin CD rabbit hole because it’s a slippery one. Well worth the trip, though. Jazz is at her core (since she taught herself to sing by searching for and listening to jazz on UA-cam as a three year old 😂). But she has slayed many genres including blues, R&B, soul, disco, country, rock, EDM (was a good friend of Avicii, has performed with Alan Walker and has recorded an EDM song, Above the Water, for the Norwegian EDM group, TRXD). She has also done a lot of what I think is called “adult contemporary” (Adele, Lana Del Rey and Amy Winehouse) and other forms of pop. And four awesome originals so far, one of which was just released a few weeks ago under Republic Records, as her first content released with the label - Million Miles. You will have billions of requests now. If you choose to continue you could go back to the beginning with her performance of Gloomy Sunday as a 7-yr-old on Norway’s Got Talent, or leap forward to her new single Million Miles, or her AGT Champs version of Bohemian Rhapsody that won a golden buzzer and a tweet from the surviving members of Queen. There are billions of options (well, 131, now) but those are a good place to start.

The other commenters have told you her story, so I won't repeat it, but I will say she defines the words "humble", "meek" and "prodigy"
She has the ability not only to transmit emotion through her voice, but also to find that emotion inside you.

Great reaction, Absolutely love your excitement over our "Barefoot Princess of Jazz" she will blow your mind no matter what genre she takes on. Absolutely how do you take perfection and improve, it seems impossible and yet Angelina is capable of taking it to level not even yet thought possible!! Looking forward to more of your reactions to the 'New Barefoot Queen of Song' as well as her awesome jazz. She is now 14 years old and stands over 6 feet tall. After turning down every other major record producer and even Disney World, She has just recently been signed with Republic Records and she has just released her first self written single with republic Records entitled "Million Miles " , this is the link to that one ( ua-cam.com/video/NhKRh5ZtuWk/v-deo.html )
She is a rare special God sent gift to the world!!! , Angelina is at level of vocal artistry seldom if ever seen for a young singer , besides her other talents , She is Norway's youngest published author at around 9 to 10 years old, she plays , piano, violin, flute, and guitar . Angelina does her musical arrangements and has been often observed directing professional musicians playing for her as to what she wants in a song.
she is always in command when she performs is very humble respectful manner to band members. Angelina is like no other I heave ever witnessed in her many abilities for one so young .she touches one right down to their heart and soul when she sings. :To bring you up to date on her background:
(Angelina a short history ); Angelina has been singing since she was 1.5 years old (18 months started singing a Whitney Huston song , video on you tube of this here is the linkua-cam.com/video/VJjG68Dfr-8/v-deo.html at 1:55 on this video is her at 1.5 years old ) later she was taken by jazz and started singing jazz classics as her grandmother introduced her to jazz tunes. Her singing is her life and her passion . her mother tried to get her to sing nursery songs and she just flat out refused to involve her self in that nonsense.
She is her own driving force no one dictates to her what she does in her singing or preparations, it is all her 110%. the following are her own songs . Won Norway's got talent at 7 to 8 years old has over 125 videos on line plus three of her own compositions (not including the one she just released from Republic Records) and two that were written for her to sing , the first 3 she wrote and arranged herself, the last two were written for her to sing

Angelina had over 500 million views of her singing videos before her performance on AGT The Champions now her views are in the billions . Angelina has been well known all over the world except in America not so much up until her AGT Champions mini concert.
When performed her own arrangements of " Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Yellow brick Road".

She sings bare foot since she was 6 years old to honor a bare foot orphan he met girl around her own age around 6 years old whom had no shoes and had scars on her feet, she weighing people on a bathroom scale to support her and her siblings. Angelina at six years old took her shoes off and gave them to this poor girl, and Angelina has performed on stage in honor of the pledge she made to her not to sing on stage with shoes on form then on . Angelina has honored that pledge for last 8 years . Angelina takes on a different voice for each song she covers to give homage to the song, and never tries to show off her vocal abilities but always gives each song its due respect. Angelina has a 5 octave range and her low note ability is just mind blowing for a pre-teen or now at just a mere 14 years as of Jan. 10 ,2020. Angelina can sing any genre and excel at it many times better than the original artist. Enjoy this 9th wonder of the musical world in song..

Daniel, thanks for your first wonderful and careful reaction with Angelina. She in this song is amazing, I'm sorry for the destabilizing effect ... but this is Angelina 🤗 😜 and this song is a kind of investiture, is the watershed between simple listeners and fans of that girl. Certainly not many adults know Screamin', certainly the only little girl of 9 years in the world who knows him and who also thinks of singing him without any fear is Angelina.❤️ And it's incredible that this adaptation is all her own (the sheets written) and that at that age she was able to evaluate and transform, according to her sensitivity, such a particular and powerful song 😊 How is it possible that a girl of that age can make and sing the most beautiful transposition of this song from 65 years ago ... and it has been sung by many great performers.
Look also the her new first original song released three weeks ago for Republic Records, "Million Miles", it's just stunning.
    ua-cam.com/video/NhKRh5ZtuWk/v-deo.html
Angelina is not only what you saw in this fantastic performance, she is much more, even very different, but everything she does is at a superlative level, she sang about 130 different interpretations, including covers, songs written for her and her originals written between 11 and 12 years old, if they seem enough
You can react at her first 4 public performances of Norway's Got Talent in 2014 (so about two years before this of this video), those performances made during a few months are the her first public appearances, but you can already see what her was capable of and how her skills had improved in that limited period of time. Or, if you prefer to continue from the end, there are 3 incredible rewritten songs for AGTC 2020

Welcome to the Angelina Jordan Experience. She won Norway's Got Talent at age 7 singing ' Summertime ' a song you have also reacted too. This might be something both you and your sister could react too. But any of Angelina's songs are great to do.

A small correction. She was 7 on her initial audition, singing "Gloomy Sunday" but by the time of her performance singing "I'm a fool to want you" at the Judges Cut-off audition, recorded 7 Feb 2014, she was 8 years of age.

OMG...I'm so excited that your finally reacting to Angelina. Thank You for this. She is so incredibly talented and she'll never let you down. If you want to go down the Rabbit Hole, start with her Norway's Got Talent Audition when she was 7 and go from there. Her taste in music is quite amazing and has made me look at songs my parents listened to in a whole new light. Love, love, love, your reactions and your take on what your hearing. I'm looking forward to your journey.

The lady you see at the beginning is her granny. Her family stick to her like glue. She got her first contract this year and it’s on the basis that Angelina stays in control. Her regular musicians call her the boss. From what I have seen, she’s not a flashy showbiz person, she’s a music nerd.

Welcome to the Magical Kingdom of Angelina Jordan Astar (yep, real last name!), our wonderful Barefoot Princess and Queen of Jazz from Norway! Hope you'll continue checking out many of her 132 covers and 4 originals (which she wrote between 11 and 14). She recently signed with Republic Records in August (at age 14) and released her first single with them three weeks ago called "Million Miles." It is EPIC! Hope you will check out not only her vocal artistry but also the extraordinary, special person she is in her character, humility, kindness, and humanitarian endeavors.

Find out why she's sings barefoot and you have the key to her soul..she's raised millions already for charity..has no interest in personal glory, fame or money..she gives much of her earnings away..she's a special person..I hope you enjoy the AJ rabbit hole ))
Ps your music world has just changed...forget any preconceptions you have about music and how music is created..she speaks four languages, is a published author already..at 5 her life ambition was to sing st the Nobel peace prize awards..this she achieved at 8! She has sung for kings, queens, presidents and many more notables...

I have been watching and Janina for many months now and I must’ve watched 100 of her songs and they are all totally exceptional but I would like you to react to her new song that she wrote herself called 1000 miles. It is indeed a brilliant. She is 14 when she does this song 1,000,000 miles and yes she was only nine when she did I put a spell on you which left me speechless

New sub here, well done, this young lady will enrich your musical journey. At this point many reactors struggle to decide whether to start at the beginning with Norway's Got Talent as a 7-8 yrs old,or perhaps check out something very current, then go back.Personally I suggest that you react to her new single Million Miles, her first offering with her new record label Republic Records. This is a lyric video with animated artwork by herself and her grandma Mery Zamani,a famous Iranian artist.Of note Angelina in now 14 yrs old.

I absolutely love your reactions, & couldn't have been more excited to see your reaction of this truly unexplainable talent!!! Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤️💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song ❤️💙 A rare beauty, in every sense of the word ❤️💙 Whether you are a believer in reincarnation or not, I find it very intriguing that Lou Rawls, the American Jazz & blues singer legend, passed away the same day Angelina is born 😊 Loved your reaction & please reviewing her music, & my suggestion would be to start from when she won Norway's got talent, when she was 7 years old & won the show!!!

Angelina is an old soul. How else could she put so much emotion into the meaning of that song? She's amazing. She doesn't wear shoes because once on vacation, she saw a young girl who had no shoes. Angelina felt so bad for her and gave her her own shoes. She vowed not to wear shoes until all poor children had shoes. She is most likely one of the greats of old who reincarnated into this young girl. She started singing as a toddler. You should really check out when she wins Norway's Got Talent. She was 7 years old! Here is the link plus English Subtitles: ua-cam.com/video/d3gSho9yf88/v-deo.html
