Great technique for teaching using the glass! For those that dont know, reverse writing is an old technique used by the military to update status boards so an officer could read the board while it is being updated. the person writing it would stand behind the glass and write in reverse so as not to get in the way of the person reading.
Close, but no. It's mirrored. He's writing with his right hand, watch on his left hand, but the video is mirrored. It's just a camera behind glass, he writes normally, and then mirrors it in post (editing) so the writing is forward for viewers.
Most likely they record the video like normal and just do a horizontal flip on post-production. That's why the watch is on the wrong hand, and the writing appears this way.
It seems he is writing with his right hand and we are seeing his reflection off the blackish reflective glass board. If you look closely, you'll notice the image of the man has a similar depth perception as when you look at yourself into the mirror. Where is the camera though?

Using a mirror
How is this writing going on?

Exactly! Where on earth is the camera???
Or he filmed it from the other side of the board, and flipped the video in his video editor.
And why is he wearing his watch on his right wrist???
Oh shoot. Perhaps there is a mirror effect in the glass?
I could use examples...
