I gotta quote Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi first: "The inspiration you seek is already within you. Be silent and listen... Your task is not to seek for love but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."
We cannot blame anyone for hurting us or for not being the way we expected then to be. WE are the ones to blame because WE have given them this power which enables them to hurt us through our mental projections of them, those are illusions and not their true selves. If we don't accept them as they are, then why do we want to be accepted as we are? Great point you made in this video about self awareness. I guess one of the most important questions we have to sincerely ask ourselves and give a truthful answer is 'Do we ourselves live up to those pieces of advice that we give to others? How much of what we preach do we truly practice?' This may be hard to admit, but you've got to for your well-being.
Also, I slightly disagree with you on spending time with acquaintances just to forget about what we're facing. It's basically the same as some choose to drink or get high in order to escape the reality. The earlier you realize that you don't need a pat on the back and anybody's validation except for your own, you'll be unstoppable. So many great artists gave birth to their masterpieces at the times when there were no one by their sides. Because they spent their time of loneliness/solitude in transforming the self. Doing what you love is such a great cure. Also, start practicing self control or self restraint if needed (it surely is, if you admit).
Last but not least, there's many individuals that don't like being around people and prefer quality company over just any company and that doesn't mean they're lonely. Talking about your problems to the people that have known you for a quiet some time may be uncomfortable, there's this great website 7cupsoftea where you can remain anonymous, if you wish, and talk about your emotions either to a trained person who will listen or to a liscenced psychologist. By telling a stranger about your problems, you get to know yourself better and you can catch yourself on how you truly feel, what you exaggerate, and what part of your life experiences your prefer to slightly change in your own consciousness to make yourself feel pity for what you've been through. Toughen up and let the transformation begin🤗

There is so much gentle wisdom in this video. The point that stood out the most to me was that we project our own self-image and self-relationship onto our relationships with others. It truly does start with self-love. Looking at yourself as you would look at your child. With compassion and patience - and a glowing, alive sort of love. Harder said than done, to be sure. Thanks for the practical tips as well!
