Please advise when the firmware updates will be available for the 750QE. Your website has not been updated with these. Can't wait to get my hand on this hoop and the new Clamp Hoop. Thank you.
Thanks for asking. Please see the information provided on www.bernina.com/en-US/Accessories-US/Embroidery-Accessories/Embroidery-Hoops-and-Adapters/Large-Freearm-Embroidery-Hoop . The firmware for the B 750 QE will be published in the support section of the bernina.com website in early Q4 2023 approximately.
Hi Dru Keck, thanks for asking. Not it's not possible to the Mega Hoop for this. The new Freearm Hoop is built differently than standard hoops. The connector piece which is used to attach the hoop to the module is located on the inner part (black) and not on the outer part (grey) of the frame. This means that embroidery projects are actually hooped just the other way around than you would usually hoop them. The outer hoop goes under the fabric and the inner hoop goes on top of the fabric. If you try using a standard frame for freearm embroidery, e.g. to embroider on a bag, the connector piece will be under the fabric, making it impossible to attach the frame to the embroidery module.
Hi Shwetha, the B 700 is a pure embroidery machine with no sewing functionality. The B 770 QE PLUS is a sewing, quilting and embroidery machine. Please visit www.bernina.com for more information on our product. You can use www.bernina.com/machinesearch to compare features of selected machine models.
You can check on the Bernina website updates for your machine model. Note that machine in the demo is a 770 plus. There is an option to upgrade the 770 to plus. They also sell the machine as depicted and it has a larger screen, which you don’t get on the upgrade, I suspect the new embroidery unit has been used too in this video.
@@tsunamis82 Thank you, I have already looked on the website, both my machines have the latest firmware updates, a 720 and a 790 plus. The websites says that the hoop is compatible with both my matches, but the hoop is not listed on either machine, so I am assuming there will need to be a firmware update.
@@janandstevedubois7356 Hi Jan and Steve, the BERNINA Large Freearm Embroidery Hoop is totally new. It has only just been presented to the dealers in the USA during yesterday's dealer convention. Yes, firmware updates for all models compatible will be made available on bernina.com.
Hi Johanne, yes, the Freearm Embroidery Hoop ist compatible with a BERNINA 830 (not with the vintage 830 record, of course). However, the machine firmware update which makes it possible to select and use the hoop on the machine, is not yet available for the B 830 (the same applies for the B 750 and the B 780). These firmware versions will be available early in 2023.

@@BerninaInternational . Good news! This update has been released. My dealer just installed it on my 750QE.
Could you also use similar process using the mega hoop? What does the freearm do that the mega can't?

Bernina 700 and bernina 770 are they same. If not then what is the difference between two.

I am assuming it's not for series 5 machines?
Dear Denise, the frame is also for the 5 series. It corresponds to the Large Oval Hoop, but with a different adapter.
What is the size of the free-arm hoop?
Dear Melanie, thanks for asking. The size is 5.7 x 10 inch (14.5 x 25.5 cm).
