The Revolt RV400 is India’s first electric motorcycle and has just gone on sale in the country. Revolt hasn’t launched the bike at a conventional price point, but instead offers the bike on a payment plan of Rs 3,999 per month for three years.

The bike uses an electric motor with a continuous power output of 3.0kW and drives the rear wheel using a belt drive system. The RV400 features three riding modes - City, Normal and Sport, and has an ARAI-certified range of 154km. The 3.24kWh battery can be easily removed and swapped out at upcoming Revolt battery swap stations. Revolt has also launched a smartphone companion app for the RV400 which allows you to find the nearest battery swap stations, geo-fence the bike, start or stop it, and even change the “exhaust note” it can play from its on-board sound generator.

The RV400 is fairly well equipped, with suspension consisting of an upside-down fork and a rear preload-adjustable monoshock. Braking is handled by disc brakes on both wheels and a combined braking system (CBS) comes as standard. There’s a full LCD instrument cluster, as well as a remote key-fob for starting the bike.

Rv 400 is the only available electric motorcycle in market, so i cannot say bad things about it. Atleast revolt is daring to offer an electric motorcycle for the masses. There maybe flaws and cons of this bike but i dare not say about it.

If you are buying electric bike, it means you are also contributing to the environment and health of everyone including yourself. Petrol vehicle just spoils the environment.
I will buy electric bike or activa for father as he is not very good with bikes. But this bike looks promising in long run.
They are giving battery guarantee for 7.5 years of 1.5 Lac km.
My currect petrol bike ran for 20k km in 6 years. lol.

what about riding bike in rainy season is its component is waterproof. What if it have to go through waterlog on road

1.44 lakhs for this? Expected price was around a lakh but this just got insanely pricey. They could've gone with a more reasonable price because in pricing, they're in R15 territory and in performance,they stay in 110cc scooter's category.
It's an electric motorcycle with quite a lot of features. Difficult to argue that the price is not right, especially since it has no electric competitor right now. It's not fair to compare it to non-EV bikes

@@rahulparutube Ather is a much premium product with premium components like aluminium chassis and Li ion batteries. It's completely designed and developed from scratch in Bangalore not like this Chinese rip off.
To me its a first gen product. I would like to wait out for a few years before. Seeing whether the bike is handing in the rough terrains. I am not sure if it will be an economical cost in the long run

Quick calculation tells me ~8. But I could be wrong

156km range and 3.7kwh.
assuming 6rs per unit, 6x3.7 = 22.2Rs.
so electricity cost per km = 14paisa !!
There is charger design issue. Charger gives lot of problem. Charger design not stable. I had issue within first six months and got replacement after 3-4 months. And again within 2 to 3 months for second time charger stopped working after making pop sound ( internal short circuit ) . No immediate replacement available.

Hey zigwheels, I have a question, There is no key and lock system to on and off the bike, so that means If i park it in market area any one who knows this, can power on my bike bcos obviously there is no need of key to do that and will run away. So my question is how is this anti-theft feature managed by the company on this bike. Please answer.
If some one tries to move when u lock the bike the back tire jams and it makes sound until u unlock the bike with the remote u have and if it is stolen by using skating shoes at back tire still there is no use who stole bike and by the revolt app u can locate the bike through the revolt app
