When I found your channel I was merely looking for a specific build video, I watched it then subscribed then proceeded to watch your entire library. After that I look forward for your new content cause I like your style. People that are genuine on this platform definitely get my support. Your one of those people Justin.
I met you at FabTech in Chicago a few years ago and told you I really like how you discuss the financial part of your work openly. Same goes for this one. I like realistic content. Thanks for sharing!
Love the fact how you’re always so honest and straightforward. I’m really surprised that that video didn’t do good. I thought they were awesome when I first saw that video definitely something different you don’t see and would have thought people would love it as well. But I get what you’re saying about the educational content compared to this stuff. But honestly you covered so much educational stuff there isn’t much left. I would prefer these kinda videos all day long. But regardless if it’s a new video from you it doesn’t matter what it is I’ll be watching!
Thank you. There was a ton of interest on the socials while I was building everything but it just flopped. Even this video ranks dead last as of right now (maybe it will change). Either way, I still have a bunch of old footage to compile and I appreciate you watching!
I love your "educational" content - but am also fascinated by design and build content - esp moving from a tooo too tiny ring to the correct size through trial and error - and seeing things like the handle bar mount 'develop'. IMO that fits seamlessly into 'educational' because you are putting the learning into a practical application. So - great to see the video, and hope it does well!
I learned a long time ago that being able to see a problem from multiple perspectives can provide a solution that you may not have found yourself. So seeing different fabrication projects outside of the norm is a bonus in my world. I was a design engineer on the largest, most complex sounding rocket payload ever flown. The manager wanted to know why I brought design problems up in the status meetings to get input from electrical, software and optical for mechanical issues. He thought I should be proposing a solution, but I told him I didn't want to "poison the water" so to speak. I wanted their ideas, no matter how far in the woods, to help me gain a different perspective. Being the smart manager that he was, he agreed. Plus we had a really good tight team.
I subscribe and all that stuff, watch and rewatch videos regularly yet never saw the teaser despite this being, IMO, one of the funnest projects you've done. All hail tHe AlGoRiThM.
Bumper boats were one of my favorite rides at my local water park as a kid. Have never seen them anywhere again. Good to know someone else wants to keep them alive
The “TFS Duckie” 😆 love that haha. I’m still very new to welding but when I was looking into what process I wanted to be able to use when purchasing my first welder watching your videos helped influence my choice to get a TIG welder. So I got the Primeweld TIG225X from WeldMetalsOnline. Your review was again a big help in that choice, too. So thank you for everything you do & I’ve learned a lot from your videos.
i wondered what had happened to these duckies!! thank you so much for the update. indeed, at the end of the day we have to be able to make ends meet and still have sufficient time and money to enjoy our lives, friends, and families. i get the reasons behind the shelving of the project, and hopefully the "lost episodes" series will be a good one for you. these look like a blast to noodle around on. good luck with the sale! as always, excellent content, and thank you.
This is extremely cool and has given me some ideas. Several local lakes ban any kind of combustion outboard. Something like this with an electric trolling motor and a lifepo4 battery would be extremely fun.
Loved the video, and appreciate you being so straight forward on things like this! I think with all of your skills I'd like to see you build a quieter muffler for Polaris Rzrs and Generals, and market it. There are literally hundreds of forums of people looking for quieter than stock exhaust systems, and I think only 1 maker (HMF) makes a quiet-loop system that is less noise then stock, but its over 1k to purchase. Anyway, love the content as always, and I'm glad all of your hard work is paying off!
Thanks for posting! I have been looking forward to this video. I completely understand the YT thing and what you are deal with, I also have a channel. I just had a similar talk on my last YT video to my subscribers about that exact same topic. Thanks again and I really enjoyed this video, you did a great job editing and telling a story about the process. Thanks again for your time and effort 👍😊
I actually watched that vid the other day (I see a lot of your content). You are NOT alone in this algorithm thing. There are so many of us that struggle to understand WTF is going on this time around. I've survived 3 major changes to YT in my time here and I'm convinced that YT wants a new channel for every type of video topic at this point haha. I'm at the point in my life that I just want to build stuff and have fun doing it again. If YT pays for some of it, cool. If not, at least I had fun doing it.
@@TheFabricatorSeries Thanks for checking out my last video 👍 Definitely right about the single topic per channel thing 😂 I think you’re right about YT at this point, I will keep making videos and bring the viewers along but I won’t be spending a lot of money making specific videos for YT content like I had in the past, for the most part I will go back to documenting my personal projects and builds. Take care 😊 PS I really like the gold pro taper bars 👍👍
I would love to buy one of those bumper boats, but I imagine shipping it to Michigan would hardly be cost-effective. ANyway, I'm really digging the Lost Episodes; thanks EXTREMELY much for releasing them.
The bumper boats (tfs duckies) are totally awesome! I have actually been waiting for this video but wasn’t sure it was coming out. Thanks again and the honesty is cool. I hope ya do well on the video.
There is more than enough build info in this video for almost anyone to build one. And with the parts in the Description even easier. Thanks Justin...👍
this is crazy... i have the bell on, and this is the first video of yours that ive actually seen in quite a while! i love this haha, looks like so much fun!
I remember the teaser video, I was super excited for the build I can't believe it did do well these are freaking AWESOME!!! If you were closer to New York State I'd come buy these in a heartbeat. 👍👍
Wow, I really really loved this video. Cool, bumper boats man I think that would be a lucrative business. Maybe you can have these frames plasma cut and slotted and sell it as a kit even to those were learning how to weld now have a project to build other than a bunch of stuck together coupons, you wouldn’t have to stock a whole bunch of the kits just maybe three or four and sell them off. then make more as the demand forecasts
At least a fun ride at the end. No matter what you're making the camera should always zoom in on your welding, because what you take for granted is still a beautiful art to some of us, and at the same time a little more visual learning.
Having all that weight hanging on an amazon tube is giving me a panic attack! Maybe fill them with spray foam? Find a way to use multiple tubes? I am going to steal this idea!
Would have tripled the budget, too! Nobody around me does anodizing on parts this, and the epoxy is only a couple pounds added to an extra 50 pounds of acrylic floor... not gonna make a difference at the end of the day.
How difficult was it to register them? And if you don't want to sell the plans because you'll only sell one, but you're not going to make a product out of it, how about making them open source?
out off pure good will you could release the plans....that would have been nice of you now that you have earned so much money on everything else we have watched.....was it 40000 in a lifespan? 👌
Your business logic is a little flawed. You put out the teaser video after building them so production cost of the boats was already sunk. The time/money invested in editing the build video is the only thing left to do after the teaser video, so the build video would have needed to recoup that to put you back where you stopped: eating the cost of the build. But, anything above the edit cost is paying back that deficit, and who knows, maybe over the life of the build video you may have broken even. But just quitting and walking away left the sunk cost sunk with no chance of recovery. If you had put out the teaser video about the idea, prior to any build or construction of the boats, then based on your lackluster response deciding not to go forward with the idea would make financial sense.
Keep at it mate i love the content and the education its improved my welding so thank you for that as for the bumper boats they look like a lot of fun you've made a o g very happy 👍🦘🇦🇺
I have been waiting for the bumper boats video for 2 years!!! Apparently i was the only one that was looking forward that!!
Me too.
Me 3! Thank you for posting it. 👍🏻
Nope, me too.
Your not the only one.

I think the boats are cool and I also have childhood memories of driving bumper boats. They were fun!!
It was nice chatting with you earlier and great video! I started watching your content back when you were building roll cages. Well done brother!

This was pretty cool to watch. Seeing the whole concept - prototype - build process was interesting as hell. Thanks for sharing!
I love this. When those bumper boats featured, I was like, I want to know how!

The craftsmanship was amazing on this. Fit and function was fantastic. I enjoyed the seeing project!

I’d watch anything you post tbh and these kind of vids I love watching it’s an insight into your more personal life having fun and stuff
Thanks for posting! I have been looking forward to this video.

I never saw the teaser but this looks like an awesome project to make at home. Time to bust out the CNC!

Those bumper boats look super cool!!! I want one!!! or a set!!! I wish I had a plasma CNC or laser cutter available to me....
Wow, I really really loved this video. Cool, bumper boats man I think that would be a lucrative business. Wow, that's incredible insight into content creation. Thank you!
Love these things they need to be able for purchase
I’ve been waiting for this video! Thankyou. Gonna build a couple!
I've been waiting for this video since the teaser... Awesome build!
I’ve learned so much from your channel, hope you continue with it these great videos for a long time!!
I remember going to Scandia alot as a kid
looks like alot of fun great video 👍👍
Very interesting and fun video, thank you.
Those look pretty fun definitely something easier than tieing and outboard to an inner tube and trying to steer with an oar
I can't see why this wouldn't be a money maker video though Justin . Looks like a fun project . :)
At least a fun ride at the end.
No matter what you're making the camera should always zoom in on your welding, because what you take for granted is still a beautiful art to some of us, and at the same time a little more visual learning.
Awesome build good job and great idea!
Why does everyone have a "friend down the road with a plasma table," but me?
Plasma tables are everywhere. Find someone who has one and become friends.
I appreciate the video thank you and God bless.
First video ive seen from you on my feed in a long time. Hope all is well! Hope to see you around vegas sometime!
Nice JAWS reference 😂😂
Having all that weight hanging on an amazon tube is giving me a panic attack! Maybe fill them with spray foam? Find a way to use multiple tubes? I am going to steal this idea!
We started in shallow water. They're remarkably durable. It was a nice surprise.
That is so freakin cool!
Those are awesome.
I love it!
Should of sent the aluminum out for anodizing. Would of shaved off several pounds.
Would have tripled the budget, too! Nobody around me does anodizing on parts this, and the epoxy is only a couple pounds added to an extra 50 pounds of acrylic floor... not gonna make a difference at the end of the day.
fun little boats
Be the change you want to see in the world.
How much?
Cool boats!!
Having a motor from amazon in front of my precious doesnt make me happy
How difficult was it to register them? And if you don't want to sell the plans because you'll only sell one, but you're not going to make a product out of it, how about making them open source?
Well done. I’d watch you build a friggin dog house man.
Soooo epic dude !!! I NEEEED THEM. Hahaha
Rad dude.
Thanks for this I'm stealing your design
out off pure good will you could release the plans....that would have been nice of you now that you have earned so much money on everything else we have watched.....was it 40000 in a lifespan? 👌
Teaser videos are the problem. Not many people click on teasers. But I bet this video will get quite the attention
Was wondering what happened with them figured life an biz toke over
very good Justin nice to know good luck alex from ards stainless marine northen ireland
Still cool content.
hmm
love it, like it add a comment. You put in the work. I can too.
pr video!
Excuse me, Sir! My name is Karen and I am a Safety Commenter Viewer from OSHA. I want to speak to your manager.
