- This is what I call real country music, this was taken from Country Family Reunion A Tribute to Ray Price, George Jones use to sing that song "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" well this young guy Mo Pitney is certainly capable of filling them!

I grew up on Hank Williams and Lefty, this is awesome.
Traditional Country music is my favorite.

Yup, "they" grew up with it. AND have the royalties to support it. There are people I have met through my years. That are great musicians. Mechanics, fishermen, farmers..ect. Nashville is a true example of generations hand over hand.. When it comes to music, those ranch hands, welders, construction ...people who build ....come home . Maybe, dance (Ray Price Pick Me Up on Your Way Down) in the kitchen. I say, bring back the WWVA. Figure that out, and I will be right back to ye.

I love to hear Mo Pitney sing! I was a dj for 22+ years and he is one of the finest singers I have ever heard. His sweet little wife is another really good singer. I wish them both much luck & happiness!

I'm 70, and long ago gave up on hearing the true country sound again from any of the new up-starts. I only recently "discovered" young Mo Pitney. His voice and delivery, as you put it, ability to sing from the heart, blew me away. He has definitely brought back the traditional country sound. Gene Watson, when asked about Mo, said he has the ability to milk every word out of a song. That he does. Be well.

I knew Ray Price, interviewed him a few times, once at the Poteet Strawberry Festival in Poteet, Texas. He was the epitome of a gentleman. Pure class.

Sure hope Mo realizes that THIS sound is HIS sound and sticks to it. He's a ballad singer of the first quality. He needs only a first quality band (like this one), a first quality production (like this one), a first quality song (like this one) and himself. Leave any one of those out... and it just won't fly (in my opinion).

But he needs two things: 1. A great song and 2. Packaging to sell records to the 14 to 35 market. He's a good looking kid, but he needs some work to turn him into a star or a super star.
