My husband passed away last November 1, 2021. The Novus Ordo local priest was called but forgot to give him Absolution. I know that he forgot to give him Absolution because I directly asked the priest if he did. I then contacted the SSPX to come. They drove 1.5 hours to administer Extreme Unction in full cassocks and they stayed on their knees in prayer at the hospital with my children until God took him. They prayed the Rosary in Latin and the prayers for the dying As well. This was a tremendous grace for our family. We all experienced the joy and consolation of the SSPX Priests administering the traditional rite of the Sacrament of Extreme Unction. Thank you Archbishop Lefebvre for your priest sons! 🙏🏻
This is another example of the problems of the Novus Ordo Church. This isn’t uncommon. Does the SSPX have any guidance when no SSPX priest is available?

@@ozonzechibudike4293 No, or else why was it changed. Father is doing an episode on this. Our son is a traditional priest and will only administer extreme unction. Also the new sacrament of the sick was administered in our parish en masse for anyone seriously ill but not in danger of death. There cannot be new sacraments as there cannot be new commandments, new creeds, etc.
Probably find your nearest SSPX Mass center, and contact the coordinator with a message for the priest. Or just show up, introduce yourself, and ask for a meeting to ask some questions.
Michael Voris recently attacked the SSPX and what was revealing is that he had absolutely no idea what and why the SSPX exists? If your going to criticize the SSPX at least do the research on not only Marcel Lefebvre but what drove him or guided him to form the Society. You may not join the SSPX for various reasons but to deny their story has validity is pure ignorance, Marcel Lefebvre is being proved right with every passing minute because all he did was continue being Catholic.
Michael Voris seems to have a deep-seated resentment against the SSPX. Someone commented that his hatred of the SSPX was aroused by something his father taught him. I don't think hatred is too strong a word based on the videos that I've seen. I'm a newcomer to the SSPX and it's the SSPX who will administer Extreme Unction for my brother. God bless that Priest who will drive an hour and a half, to and from, in an effort to save it soul. And God bless everyone here 🙏🙏🙏.

I'm kinda confused right now because I grew up believing that we can (or should) call a priest if our wives are about to give birth. Being pregnant is not an illness and does not merit Extreme Unction. If she had uterine Cancer which increased her risk of death, she would be anointed because of cancer not the baby inside of her. As a side note, Abortionists consider pregnancy an illness and thus abortion a remedy.
