Watching Andy cut the old hose on his leg has my mom brain filled with anxiety!
Love lovey the goat dog❤❤❤
The name of your channel is so appropriate for you sweet people bc you guys absolutely have GRIT!!
You do what you gotta do! That’s how it’s done!👍🏼
Boy, are you guys right!! It's about determination! I joke with my family that "If it can be done, I can do it!".....I am a determined person. I love this lifestyle and I have sweated, frozen, endured pain, busted knuckles, and a lot of other things in order to get a job done, and it's well worth it to me. Netflix doesn't hold a candle to what's outside!
God bless!
Amen!
I almost cried when y'all pulled the Zinnias. They was my mom's favorite.
they were some of my grandmas favorite as well
Hi there beautiful family
Sweet idea, Andy! Last year, I used the bags that I bought my manure, soil, etc., to cover my raised bed and topped with pine needles, which I had plenty of. It worked great 👍🏼 like y’all said, “Use what you got”. Thank you for sharing and for sharing Proverbs 13:4. Y’all have a blessed weekend! I’m heading to deer camp this weekend, to see where the best places are for the doe’s, I decided not to shot last season, to be crossing ❤waiting for the big boys! 🎉
What's for supper tonight? As for us it was a good time for homemade beef vegetable soup and corn bread. Finally got some much needed steady rain today and last night.
I wish we could get some good rain! that particular night we had leftover sausage gravy and biscuits and bacon
@@TrueGritAppalachianWays yum!
Thanks guys! Im off tomorrow and youve given me great ideas to put the garden to bed for the winter. Thanks again
Your videos are so informative and your place is beautiful. More than that you two enjoy what you do and it shows. Thank you for sharing.
Put a sign to stop 🛑 at the spicket cut on it will help to remind you
we'd forget to look at the sign! hahahaha
Your fall colors are just beautiful.
The only bad idea is the one you don’t try. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. Try something else. Gave me a great idea how to winter over my raised beds! Thanks folks! Love your content!
Hey guys!! Thanks so much for addressing my question about raised beds!! I appreciate it. ❤
As far as finding time. It’s my opinion you’ll find time for what you want to find time for. Working after work and in the dark. It’s just a sign of good work ethic. My husband has always said. We don’t put the job off. It’s just how we roll around here. I’ve seen him working after work, in the dark, in the rain and bad weather. He’s 67 and still working like that. Such a blessing to me. Again, thanks for this video.
thank you for watching! we totally agree
My husband is 76 and still working like that too. Yes, there's always time...
Enjoyed the video guys. Yep if you want something done, you just gotta go at it. 👍🏻👍🏻 We just put down some more cardboard this weekend & mulched our fruit trees. I should have recorded it. Thanks for sharing the link to those hose repair ends. Y’all have been blessed with a nice place. 👍🏻😇❤️🙏🏻🙌🏻👍🏻
Thanks! yep definitely not anyone going to do it for ya!
One of my sayings to my kids and to many of ppl just in conversation is: "Where there's a will, there's a way!" Love watching yall from here in Kentucky.
absolutely one of our favorite sayings
I believe if you want to use corn stalks so they break down it’s a good idea to chop it into small pieces or use a chipper. You might also try running over it with your mower.
And besides the food benefit of working in the garden, I think it’s just good for your soul and your mental health if you can make time to get in the garden and outside. Thank you for your videos.
Blessings All
❤🙏🙋🙂
Feed corn stalks to your cows and horses lots of protein when I lived in Kansas the farmers would turn their cows out into the corn fields after harvest
I have a cursed hose end. It has a perfectly good end, but the hose clamps from that freight company on the harbor keep letting go just when it's most inconvenient.
That corn should work great as mulch. In Tucson, I cut off the leaflets of dried palm fronds just as an experiment on potato hills. It worked great, but for the scorpions that liked to hide in there to consume the crickets that loved to hang out in there.
Great ideas very encouraging ❤
Looks great to me
Have a great weekend thank for all the useful tips.❤️🙏💯👍
you too tpaw!
❤
"make leaky hoses leaky again."...lol. find time, make time, light the whole world up.. id say yall bringin light to the world... 😀
thank you!
Cut up the corn stacks and they will break down faster.
Also, thank you for the hose repair link, I ordered them immediately!
thanks!
Your grandfather should have a thing in there that was had a pipe and a pipe and it was rubber remember
⏳
Really have to work on my place this summer
I truly enjoy your family were like minded folks nice people are far and few inbetween lol but i look forward to your video steve from mts in Oregon
Thank you so much!
Great video y'all! Andy I was just thinking. Wrap the barb of that hose end in electrical tape then slide the hose on it. It sure can't hurt and may stop the leak. Great ideas for composting your beds and it's all stuff you have of can get inexpensively. Working by lights reminded me of a time when some friends and I actually sowed several hundred yards of plant beds by the truck lights. Y'all have a good evening!
yea i thought about using some Teflon tape
Got my T-shirt!!!! 😎
thanks!
I think it's a great idea
thanks
Keep a rool of black electric tap when the hose is bigger than the fitting put a few raps around it befor putting the hose back on
yea i thought about using some teflon tape
I have taken to using flex seal tape or spray a lot. Hose repair usually about 50/50, they don’t make ‘‘em like they used to.
What a fun family you are, bless you. You mentioned " just got off work", what are your jobs ( if I may ask). God bless.
Meagan is a nurse and I Have a landscaping business
Hi
As much nitrogen in that corn I'd run it through the chipper. Knew a farmer that did that to his tobacco stalks.
we actually used to do it with our tobacco stalks as well way back when we grew tobacco
Megan.. can you please just clone Andy and send him over to Australian.. l have so many jobs needing fixing.. and finding someone these days to come out of town to help ot work it getting harder and harder to find..
And thats the truth. I use to get my neighbors teenage sons to help me and pay them.Sadly one is more interested in weed than actually working the other one does work but his schedule is crazy. I got a feeling if I ask him( the weed smoker who doesn't work) it would be sloppy work. Smh
@@delphine88313 sorry to hear that. Oh, Lordy, these kids nowadays! If you’re anything like me, no one is going to be able to do exactly what I want. I always say, “Close enough” for gardening, like horseshoe’s and handgrandes! 😂 Praying for you and for us all!
@@christymartin3846 At this time in my life( 63 years old).I just want something to look decent. Lol Thank you 😊
@@delphine88313 its not just children now on weed.. governments turn people into drug uses... and say its ok... hemp and weed of these days are two different things.. one heals cancer the other gmo governments or hydroponic weed is full of chemicals is brain changing.. plus the addition to addictive pain killers is destroying people.. and boys don't get out and learn these things on fixing things, growing and helping.. parents are to blame because they get children into sport and academics into of nature
I wish we could have a clone here too! never enough time in the day
What do the kids do while y’all work at your jobs?
they either stay with my mom or andys mom
