We had something like this occur in Bangkok three weeks ago. After a structural engineering review and risk assessment, which took one night, we started the following morning after the accident and had the crane cleared away in a time span of not quite 2 days after the incident and the roads and shops in the area reopened, but then again we didn't need to go through a multitude of committees, etc.
41st might be closed you can take 49 Avenue and go around it or 33rd Ave. The way you can get to Dunbar and Marine Drive your business is not infected by that there’s always a way around no more excuses
Those businesses are in the affected block. They moved the barricade half a block just yesterday, so on top of having less people traffic, they were effectively closed 4 full days
the shear incompetence of the VFD. Why not (VFD) give some chainsaws and wielding equipment to some random kids and let them take apart the fallen crane, they'll probably get it done in a couple of days and not in a "couple of weeks". I mean the VFD give two random teenagers a fire hose so they can go around putting out fires during this incident, two random kids doing their JOB. Those two kids should've gotten more news time for risking their lives and saving people's homes; and deserve to be awarded and rewarded.

I’m so very sorry for the people who are affected by this situation.

So sorry 😢 for everyone 😢
Thoughts and prayers for our great Vancouver neighbors, Richmond ❤
😂
R4 bus has been terribly late all day because of detour. Pls take that crane away from the road asap🫠🫠
What happened for the crane to come down?
Fire weakens steel to the point where a collapse can happen. Same thing that happened in 2001 in NYC
Yet the other fire site on Prince Edward Street and 10th has had nothing done
There isn't a crane lying across the road at Prince Edward & 10th.
@@sages101 But it that building is still a fire hazard
@@rachelbrinkley3240 It has long been removed.
@@bobvidoni5898 Not all of it as i live near by
Yeah, isn't it funny how fast they're demolishing everything so that they can't figure out exactly who caused the fire
Nope. Not everyone is a conspiracy nutter. 😂
@@pixiemadness7139 yeah, it's got nothing to do with conspiracy. I just don't drink the Kool-Aid like you are.
Quanti strani incidenti e quanto poco aiuto viene dato a chi subisce disgrazie.!!! Questo sta succedendo in tutto il mondo.!!!
2:13 Oh, you're just realizing life in Canada is far from free..??? And it just got a whole lot worse since 2018
Probably not, buddy.
What?

Rich people's problems...
This lady's talking like dry cleaning is a (necessity)...😂. How? The same way, you've been paying them... with SAVINGS...😂
it's literally 1 week of inconvenience. I'm sure she doesn't do THAT well.
@@sages101 Probably not.
All costs of doing business, ma'am
( You should really be talking to your insurance company, not us 😕 ) That said, we wish you all the best 🙏
that dry cleaner lady should be a drama teacher..
