How to knit 1x1 Rib Stitch | Flat and in the round

Rib stitch flat:
Row 1: slip 1st stitch, * k1, p1 *, repeat pattern between the * * asterisks to the last stitch, purl 1.
Row 2 and others: repeat row 1.
Rib stitch in the round:
Round 1: * k1, p1 *, repeat pattern between the * * asterisks to end of the round.
Round 2 and others: knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches.
