I loved the short film:)) Quick question though about the production. Where did you shoot the scene with the burning coffin. Or I guess to put it better, what were the logistics of it like? I need more information for an upcoming project and how to do it safely and all.
Beautifully done all around. Correct me if I'm wrong but this wasn't shot on 8mm film, was it? Nonetheless it is styled amazingly and I love the entire vibe of it. Edit: Just saw the end, so it was? Did the transfer company you use clean up the film for you?
Really nice work! Something you have to watch more than once but really a nice trip. A lot of the times it felt like the 70s. Well, im glad at least the Super8 looks oldschool because most of the 35mm these days looks too clean and digital like. I dont know if its because of post on computer or the new lenses or the fllmstock or the processing or everything, super8 and sometimes 16mm can look more oldschool and beautiful than 35mm.
My guess would be that the technology of film as well as advancements in telecine scanning allows for us to see some of the upper limits of the resolution of film stock.

Are you seriously telling me this was shot on super 8?! It looks closer to 16mm in quality. What film stock and model camera were you using for this? I'm legitimately in disbelief. Regardless, this was absolutely beautiful and intensely personal. It was wonderful, dude. Seriously, the fact that you somehow have under 500 subs and this hasn't been viewed much is mind boggling.
Yo what lens did you guys use for this? Or was it just your editing skills were amazing? With my super 8mm viceroy camera the footage comes off WAAAAY more grainy and overexposed and amateurish :(
@@NightOwlUtopia This was shot with the Canon Auto Zoom 814 which has a 7.5-60mm f1.4 lens. A high quality scan also has a big impact. This was a 4K HDR scan from Frame Discreet
i love a lot of things in this movie but... this guy is the worst actor that i ever seen, he destroy (in the bad way speaking) a movie WITHOUT a single word.
This is so good considering this is a silent film. You understand everything happening without having any words being spoken.
OMG! The shot of him being dragged into the coffin was brilliant
My favorite scene and the view of the coffin standing there was so 70s classic films.
this is SO well done. this is the perfect example of what a well made super 8 film should look and sound like
The soundtrack and sound design of this is just incredible. Really well done.
The lighting and the clothing palette is perfect for each scene. Wonderful!
Beautifully shot! Awesome ideas for showing how it feels after the other person broke up!
this was amazing, the music matched each part so perfectly
Marvelous! Amazing, love this.

@@noscaasifilmstudios Oh yeah you're right, more dynamic range in the new stocks and on post, they turn up the S curve, sometimes too much
