Liked and subbed. These are some really cool/relatable stories. I have often wondered about trans mens experiences integrating into the cult of manliness. What sort of karate do you do? From your description it sounds like a similar style to my school. Also, the jumping around like that doesn't have to be about a contest though you are right it usually winds up that way. I am very non-competitve and I still do that stuff because it is fun to move your body, to play like a kid does! Keep up the great videos!
Thanks so much! We're glad you liked it. 😀 😁 Our Karate is Silkisondan and we both really love it and we feel like we have a 'family' there. We both laughed aloud when you said "cult manliness". 😂 😂
I totally relate to some of these stories guys, especially what you said about men degrading women. Also I’ve come out and people will say “so you wanna be a woman?” And I’m stuck like ‘that’s problematic af idk where to start’. Great vid guys!
We're really glad you like the video. It's so weird for us to resocialize as men, especially when they start talking sh*tty about women. We're both feminists (more now than before transition) and always call people out for the crappy things they say. Society is so weird.
I'm glad I stumbled across you guys. As a trans man, I relate to pretty much everything you spoke about. Keep putting content out there. The trans masculine community needs more positive representation. Cheers! -Jensen Luke Matar
I'm glad all men are like this, 10/10. Not all men are about talking about their junk or showing up other guys. This is total toxic masculinity and it's very unfair. And saying that men change their opinions so drastically based off the fact you're trans, is a bit offensive as well. When I found out you guys were trans I never changed my opinion of you guys. Then again I grew up with LGBT+ community as a family. Anyways, I apologise for the rant but I wanted to bring up the other point that not ever male is like what you explain.
Emerald Chronicles we really appreciate you sharing your point of view. These are just situations that we have experienced. Of course not all men are like this. We have many friends who are cis males that don't buy into toxic masculinity and/or gender norms. And we definitely don't agree with it or think you have fit into those norms to be "manly" (what is manly anyway?) Anyways what I mean is screw gender norms and sorry if we came off a certain way. We never mean to offend and always debate whether something will come off a certain way in our videos. ❤️
Thumb & Toe Show, sorry for being somewhat rude. Thank you for clarifying that. I just read too much into and got upset. Hope you guys are doing ok. Also hope Caz is doing alright.
Hi Yarom, We're really sorry you didn't enjoy our video. We hope you will still follow our journey so that we can grow in support and respect for our differences.
