Great job on the catch and cook. Been using green label pautzke eggs for 50 yrs in that area they do a good job, especially if you are going to catch and cook.
I'm commenting on this over a week later and at the beginning of the video hoping you'll say what part of the Stanislaus National Forest and what river. I live in Columbia and I've been trying to find some good trout fishing places that aren't too far from home but can't seem to find anywhere that isn't practically taking over by other people. Love to find a place I could fly fish and where it's relatively quiet can you tell me of a place?
Yeah man, it's super busy up in the mountains right now. There some good spots up 108 towards Kennedy Meadows. The spill area of the Stanislaus coming out of Beardsley can be good but they have special regs so check those out. A lot of the creeks up there have little Bows and Brook Trout but you have to hike quite a bit to get to the good spots.
@@Outwestwithchris1 and the biggest trouble I have is transportation with my PT Cruiser LOL. Also I need to tell you that you are one of only two or three local UA-cam channels and I have been a major UA-cam Pollock for at least the last couple of years so I'm glad to finally find a local Outdoors UA-cam channel to watch. Look forward to seeing more of your videos. Not sure if you've ever seen his channel but Zachary Fowler it was one of my favorite UA-cam channels out of state and I would love to see him come and do a 30-day survival challenge in the Stanislaus National Forest. You should check out his channel and let me know what you think.
We love to see it
He was stoked.
That does make me hungry!
It was tasty!
Congratulations on the fish. It looks great. Stay Safe and God Bless You and your family.
Thanks Joe, he's still stoked about it!

I had some Pautzke's with me, might have been a good play. I'm addicted to those spoons though. Lol. Thanks for watching old man!
Way to go Dom!
He says thanks Tanker!
HAPPY FATHER DAY CHRIS even though I'm not your kid... happy father day!
Haha, thanks man!

Is that how low the Stanislaus is this summer?
This is Clark Fork, seemed a tad low this time of year.
