To tell the truth, litten is my least favorite. The other 2 idk which I like better
I started Pokémon sun blind - no knowledge of the hate of popplio or anything. At first, I didn’t care for popplio because I have a bias against water types, and then I remembered that people misjudge me and try to bully me a lot. I felt bad and chose popplio because I saw a bit of myself in that little seal and because I thought to myself “what if I’m not the only one with that reaction? poor thing. Well, even if others hate you, I will love you” and I still love him now. He is the front of my group and my first choice. He even evolved into a Primarina. I don’t regret my decision one bit. If I had to do it all again, Sun or Moon, I would pick Popplio again without a single doubt nor a second thought. Go team Popplio!

I love how this perfectly fits Popplio and how people saw it. I’ll admit, I saw it a bit poorly myself. It was seen as a circus seal, a clown, but then to everyone’s surprise it evolved into a beautiful singer. It became one of the most beautiful Pokémon ever made.

A much better approach to using primarina is an offensive pokemon. Also sing has less accuracy than focus blast. Just saying.

There is a youtube video that has evidence that popplio is the best starter pokemon in alola because it's the strongest out of the three of them. If anyone says otherwise then pull up the video proving that popplio is the strongest. And if anyone says that it's funny looking say "Well how would you feel if someone didn't pick you for your looks?" or say "it may look funny but if your one who judges on looks then you will never have the feeling of true hard work or never feel true power, But honestly you don't need to feel true power you just need happiness and if the other's make you happy because they look better than go for it but if your looking for the strongest than go for popplio, oh wait you can't unless you get another copy of the game. You can beat the ENTIRE Elite Four (in both versions) with JUST Primarina. (My Primarina knows Hydro Pump, Sparkling Aria, Moonblast, and Ice Beam). Melts everything in its path if you equip Mystic Water/Primarinium Z. (For extra, unneeded damage, use X Special attacks on it.)

On a happier note, Alola was the only region where my starter decision took more time, and that I didn't choose fire, but instead went with water both because of feeling like I had a personal connection with popplio and because the Alola starters were all AMAZING!

This works as a song separate from the source material giving it wider appeal and allowing to stand on it's own as an amazing anti bullying song. Amazing work
This is something I really like about Trickywi's fangame songs. For example, "In Your Spotlight", "Painted Faces", and "Perish Song" are all unique in that they barely, if at all, reference the original source material. It allows the songs to connect to people on a greater scale, as people can listen to them without knowing of the original game and still enjoy the music.

When I first saw the starters, I instantly wanted Popplio because of how it looked. Even way before the hate on it came about. Even if I was the only one who wanted Popplio, I'd still take the lovely sea lion any day. I even have eight pc boxes filled of the darling, and I plan to never give any of them away. They're staying with me, it's an amazing Pokemon that doesn't deserve the hate it got.

I remember sun and moon just came out and my brothers and I looked at the starters. My twin wanted Litten and my younger brother wanted Rowlette but me? I chose puplio... why? I saw myself in that tiny seal. Misjudged and fun loving,free willed and talented. I have just started highschool and that has been a massive change for me because my best friends have left me thinking their too cool and popular for me and now I have a small group of friends of gamers who really care. I still want to see my old friends treat me with respect, I want to be back in my spotlight where I’m proud and confident but now I’m just shy and too self conscious. I heard this song and everything I remembered about this game and I remembered the small blue seal that loved to play in the water....

I think what it comes down to is this, Tricky (or if I may call you, Shelbi...) As trainers, we choose the pokemon we, as individuals, feel will be our most greatest asset. I always gave the underdog the benefit of the doubt (for me, Gen 1 was Squirtle, Gen 2 was Chikorita). The reason I pick them is because I feel a connection between them and myself, as if I'm seeing what I could be as well.
Popplio... has already gained that spot for me, not because of the hate, but because I already feel that burning connection, like I want it to succeed, just as I want to. And in that sense, that is truly what we all want in life... #TeamPopplio

There are kids in my history class (in high school at the time of making this comment) who laugh at me and talk about me behind my back. I have a couple good friends in that class, and I have a slight crush on the boy across from me. The group of boys that I know are bullying me are your typical high school bully boys, so they don't bother me a whole lot.
At least, that's what I thought. Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will also resonate with you for a long time.
Their bullying has really gotten to me, and I've come to be afraid of going to that class, as I know the amount of people who stare at me for cosplaying or humming in class is far larger than my friend group of that class. I loved this song when it first came out, but now, as I'm coming back to hear it again, I'm only realising that it matches me so very well in my situation.
I will never give up what I love, even if others bully me for it. I can stand up to them, because I am strong, and I am confident in my abilities. I will be me, and only me. And I will show them that I'm worthy of being in the spotlight.
To all others who are being bullied, stand up for yourself. Don't let them ruin your life. You're so much better than that. Tell them they're wrong to pick on you, and you be you. Never give that up, because someone doesn't like you. You can't please everyone, so just be yourself, and whoever you do please, keep them around. And those who don't like the real you, feel free to erase them from your life. You don't need their negitivty.

Update! After we switched to online all of my issues disappeared. I ended up having a very good school year with no negative interactions with any of my classmates, and even got into an online school play which was very fun.
I recently started therapy to help with the many issues I still need to work through, but I've made serious progress so far and am very proud of myself.
Thank you all for the support! Times have changed for the better for me and I'm super grateful.

Before Sun & Moon was released, I remember the hate the poor thing was getting and I honestly didn't understand why. Sure, Rowlett and Litten looked better, but I thought Popplio was alright. But as the evolutions were being released, it hit me: it was Oshawott all over again! Once I released that, I knew IMMEDIATELY who my starter was gonna be: Popplio! And I can safely say that I have NO regrets! :-D Popplio is, IMO, the BEST starter in Gen 7, and I will defend it till my dying day!
