I think that if you break it down, even if Supercorp was a thing in the show, Lena knew that whatever chance she had to be more than friends she destroyed when she chose Lex. In my head cannon she realized when she showed up at Kara's apartment that she had a shot at having it all and had blown it with where she let her anger take her. She mentally and physically abused Kara in multiple episodes, that is something that simply cannot be looked passed. I love Lena, and I believe Lena and Kara were in love with each other, I truly do. I just think that Lena dedicated herself to protecting Kara and insuring that nobody can do what she did to her again. But I also believe she knew they could never be more than friends because of how far she let her anger take her.

In season 6 I had a hard time with how little they focused on Alex and Kara. That relationship was the show in my opinion. But then I started to see what they were trying to relay to the audience. Without coming straight forward and saying it, they were showing the evolution of Kara and Lena. Alex had finally done what she always wanted, found a life outside of Kara, she deserved that. On the other hand Kara, without realizing it, found someone worthy to take her place. Someone to eat potstickers with, be her perfect partner on game night, and willing to really listen when she needed it, Lena replaced Alex. I don't mean that I'm a bad way, but that's why the show displayed Alex as unwilling to really give Kara advice in their final scene and instead said it's something she had to figure out for herself, Alex had a well deserved life now and knew Kara had found someone worthy of her role in Kara's life. But more than that, no matter what the ending said, Kara and Lena wouldn't be developing a life outside of each other like Alex ended up doing. I truly believe they would develope a life with each other.

I confess, that in Ep 2x1, I didn't really "catch" Supercorp in their first---and second, as Kara Danvers---meeting (even though it's so screamingingly obvious w/ Kara's enormous heart-eyes when Lena recognizes her as a reporter). No, it's this scene at 2:03 (was that Ep2x2?), and most especially, Lena's OMG flirty-ness of "Do Tell!" (the body language! :-0 ), that made me sit up and take notice. EVEN WHILE you knew that the main wlw storyline was going to be Alex Coming Out (and Sanvers), when Lena said "Do Tell!", I was all "WHAT are they doing HERE???" :-D _Supercorp is Endgame!_
This is beautiful and poignant. ❤ 😭 Wonderful song choice (first time hearing the female version and I love it) and I love the parallels in this. Honestly I'm living for these edits after the mess that was Season 5. When the fans make better content (fan edits, fanfiction and fanart) and has a better understanding of the characters and story than the actual show-runners/writers, then you know that speaks volumes. Just like the GoT fanfiction I read last year was 100000X better than the dumpster fire that was the last two Seasons of the show (especially the last one which shall not be named). *sighs heavily* Anyway thank you for this beautiful edit!! 🙂❤

Even in the show Lena had never regretted anything like how she regretted her reaction to Kara's secret. In my head cannon Lena knew that whatever chance at more than friends they had, she destroyed when she chose Lex. If she could have just talked before reacting, she could have had it all and I truly think even in the show, Lena knew that. It's why she worked so hard to protect Kara in the show. In my mind she knew, she had abused Kara, physically and mentally, they could never be more. So instead she chose to protect the most important thing in the world to her. No amount of true love can overcome the depths Lena allowed her anger to take her.

kara shouldn't have spent so much time trying to win back lena's trust. lena will come back on her own. and i'll also say this, lena had no right into treating kara like a stranger and ignore and even work with lex. kara has been through more than lena. both of kara's parents died, her only friend on earth died, she went through depression of missing her home plant and at first she had someone that hated her, her own adopted sister and let alone kara had to hide for so many years.. her true identity if she didn't she would've been experimented. Lena had it a bit easier since she's human. She only had betrayal and a physco brother. Kara has plenty of people who betrayed her. so lena was the one with crocodile tears. Lena was the one who deserve all the pain. like couldn't she have understood that supergirl was trying to protect her ?? Having a opinion shows you care about the world of supergirl! It's good. I think both are wrong. Lena did not react correctly but she was abused by the Luthors so I'm not sure she ever learned how to deal with such negative emotions in a healthy way. As for Kara I REALLY hope we explore her trauma next season and help her find peace. Her past is affecting her anger and reactions and it is just not healthy either.
