Riot meddler riots vp already confirmed this has nothing to do with the show. the cinematic promotes mel story as she is the new champion in the game. the black rose skinline , leblanc visual rework we wont get a teaser until the near future only riot knows where they heading.

My bigger concern is that the image LeBlanc is toying with at the end looks like an evil looking sword, and I worry she is going to try and introduce Aatrox as her next plan,,because that would definitely prompt that response from Vladimir
Bro Darius just casually challenged the King of Trolls to a 1v1 and then when he lost his weapon he was like “fuck it we ball” AND FOUGHT A TROLL WITH HIS BARE HANDS!
If I had a nickel for every time Darius lost his axe in a cinematic and proceeded to throw hands with an unreasonably large creature id have two nickles; which isn't much but its weird that it's happened twice.

Mel's power is almost like foresight(empath), she can see the intention of her enemies, and that's what she was seeing in the 'gate' she was passing through, which I absolutely love.

I was about to comment this lol I was ready to explain things but kept saying to myself "uh no he's got it"
I'll be the lore guy;
Arcane is set in the recent past, Arcane season 2 ends as Swain's coup in Noxus is fast approaching. Darius is skinnier because this is a younger Darius when Boram Darkwill sent him north to the Freljord, this is happening at a similar time to most of the events in the trailer EXCEPT for the Katarina part.
The Katarina part happens in present day, we know this because of her daggers and the skin line this skin is a part of. She gained her ability to shunpo in the Katarina comic which happens close to present day. The skinline story is Swain ordering the hit on the random Black Rose guy that Katarina kills. The skinline contains Ezreal and Renata Glasc which according to the Necrit post Arcane interview are new gen Piltover and Zaun characters that "become relevant" in a sense after the events of Arcane.
Mel in the trailer has a vision where she is fighting Grey Legion soldiers and some hemomancers. The Grey Legion are zombies created through blood magic, and Vladimir is at the head of all blood magic related affairs in Noxus. LeBlanc and Vladimir are the heads of the Black Rose.
I can probably go into further details, but I'll leave that to if anyone has questions.
Added detail: Trundle's weapon is made of True Ice which only Iceborn can wield, anyone else who tries will die, so it is really impressive Darius could hold lift his now frozen axe long enough to get the KO in.
You can even see the frostbite instantly setting into his arm the moment he picks up his frozen axe.

did you notice , before darius swing the axe, he pound the opponent five times, that make sense with ingame beetle, where darrius pasif will aktif after hit enemy five times and make ultimate skill demage more stronger

The bite mark being alluded to is the use of Blood Magic by Vladimir (Haemomancy) and how Blood Magic is tied to the Black Rose (seemingly in this new lore). Great breakdown as always 👏🏻 just waiting for Kendrick to drop a 2025 deluxe album 😂

@bleh8407 the fight between young Darius and Trundle is before the Ionian invasion...Because Arcane is the new lore that shows what happened before, I think they want to use cinematics like this to show what happened before Arcane...the girl who was beheaded by Ambessa in Arcane was a princess from Ionia, which means that the invasion of Ionia took place before the events of Piltover and Zaun...
