Roscoe Tanner played a PDP racket. It’s hanging on the wall behind Harry. Leftmost racket in the second row.
before or after he went to jail?
I remember Rosco and that killer serve, but I’m 58
Blade 104 is a great teaching racquet that I have used for a few years. Saves the arm when you feed all day. Also fun to play with, especially doubles. The 104 is a great design Wilson!
Oi ! The 104 for 40 year old men ! Im 41 and have played with the 98 18x20 for many years and still take big swings. Not quite ready the oversized version quite yet 😉😂Nice vid.
love those generalizations--my k-blade98 and blx98 18X20's are my go to racquets. I'm 73 and no, they don't kill your arm.
The Blade 104 is an extended length racquet - it's 27.5" long. It's worth noting. It's also flexible which is a good thing - it's very comfortable.
he was a runner up in a wimbledon final playing b. borg, blasting serves he had
I wonder how much variance do you see in a box of the most popular 98 16x19 with the newest version?
do you know when the blade v9 is coming out?
The 98 is recommended for tennis elbo becauseof the low stiffness rating. What is the stiffnes rating of the 104.
I play with both the 98 16x19 and the 100 16x19 big fan of the blade 100 strung with solinco tour bite, it’s amazing. For anyone wondering the 100 is a little softer gives better feel and more spin and power Only slightly but it’s just as quick through the air as the 98. Also I believe you can find the 100 online for a good deal also
I just bought the 100 v8 strung with dunlop black widow 1.20. It felt weird at first coming from Aero Pro GT 100, but it does provide me a huge amount of control compared to the Aero Pro and i’m loving it!
I might try Tour Bite 1.20 as well after this! Would you give a quick review of how it feels using the string?
control wise, is there a big difference between the 98 and 100? I'm borrowing the 100 from a friend right now, but I've always played with 98s. Spec wise I didnt think there would be a big difference, but it seems like there might be. I definitely noticed that the 100 adds good power/pop to the ball, and able to spin the ball more. I'm in my 40s ... and I'm wondering if I should just start playing with larger sized racquets, to get a little bit more pop on the ball. Not a young buck anymore.
You left out the Blade that I use. I have 4 pro stock V8 Blade 98’s that are actually just an old steam 100. It is popular on the WTA (Badosa & Radacanu are a couple that use it). I used the old steam 100 for a few years. After they stop making them I found this to be the best way to keep using it. As I wore out the other ones.
Missing the 98S and SWA (Serena Williams Autograph)
I am playing the Roland Garros and US Open Blade 98 16/19. They get a lot of questions only to find out they're just regular Blades with a different paint job. I have also found that the RG Blades that I've purchased we all well over spec.
For average player the blade pro H22s are actually the best go to option. They do not destroy your arm like normal blade.
An average player shouldn't be using a 98in. Blade of any version.
In America 16 mains are more popular where in Europe 18 mains are sold more(not sure why) And I'm pretty sure most pro's playing with the Blade use the 18x20 version.
Wilson blade 100 (non-L) is such a slept on racquet.
Please explain, thanks.
@@Stickoid It's a rare racquet but it's not your typical tweener. It has slightly more control which is great for those 3.5, 4.0 players who want comfortable power, with comfort
I’ve not seen any in depth reviews of the 100. Wondering whether to switch to this from the Blade 98 and also Ultra 100. Whether it would be best of both?
@@Stickoid the 100 offers much more power and forgiveness than the 98. Youl'll sacrifice some control. So depends on what you're after.
I play with the blade 98S, you dont have that ? 18x16 295 gram unstrung.

Let’s see: this racket will control the ball for you and this racket will give you the power you need and this racket will give you the top spin you need. Etc etc. no need to supply yourself with the skill let the rackets and strings provide for you. Tennis has become a handicap activity not even a sport any longer. The equipment provided the skill for you.
