I am using sim update 1 beta, I have to say it is definitely giving me better performance. I still get some CTDs but I am testing out some 2020 products in the 2024 community folder and that maybe the reason. I haven’t tested out an empty 2024 community folder with long haul yet. I do have to say it is now more promising than 2020. I would advice if anyone wants to try sim update 1 to be patient, I think 2024 will eventually make 2020 nonexistent we must wait another year for a much more stable version.

I got my preorder PP smacked with MSFS 2024. Played until I got tired of all the bugs. Uninstalled 24 and reinstalled 2020. Call me when 24 isn't fucked anymore.
PMDG 737 works pretty well in the beta. Actually better FPS than most of the other airliners and no show stopping issues if you overlook all of the other broken sh*t in the sim itself. Runs way smoother than the Fenix for me.
Good to hear MSFS2024 is getting better and better by the day. But I still won't be touching the sim until at least Summer 2025 when I expect most of the issues to be fixed.
But we stil having problems at munich airport falling true the overpass .. lol.. does anybody have the problem of trees that appear and disappear again . like in and out constantly ??
They haven’t focussed on getting the basics right. Instead, the fools focussed on giraffes and deer. As one example of basics, you'd think by now, after 4 years of FS2020, and a new sim, that they would have fixed cars and buses driving through aircraft on taxiways, but no. What a joke FS2024 is. Confirmed to me it's going to be at least another year before it's even close to fixed. I'm so glad I got a refund on day one. I'll be stuffed if I will pay Asobo to be their alpha-tester.

There is something to take into account : The devs are no way 100% responsible of the state of the game at launch. MSFS since the 2020 opus got a lot of attention and fly sim have never been this popular nowadays, i'm myself a new simmer and have been totally invested since discovery but it could have never been possible with the casualisation of the game. Appealing to Casual players = more money invested = thiner deadlines = games butchered a launch by greedy investors while the dev face all the criticism. Some of the faults can be attributed nothing is black and white, but most of devs, in this case, just want to make a good game. I think we got used to this marvel of having the whole fucking earth 1:1 scale and forgot how crazy this tech already is to maintain and conceive, how lucky we are to witness this alive, this is literally a fantasy for players since the invention of video games. Also, every launch of recent videogames IP have been disastrous since 10 years and then the game get better with patches in the next months/years. This is the new normal cycle, futur is here old man.
I went back to 2020 for the last week and since DLSS 4 is out it’s great for VR. - VR performance is really bad on ‘24 presently even with DLSS 4 in my opinion
i found the cockpit looked good in VR with DLSS 4 but outside is still blurry. i gave up too and went back to 2020. untill this gets fixed VR looks terrible.

I don’t know how ms have the nerve to release new planes when the core game is a load of garbage and I have a high end pc rtx 4090 blah blah and it’s the worst game I have purchased by a long chalk playing 2020 at least its stable.
Yeah man, you don't understand it, nvidia say they can override it for games that don't support DLSS4 yet, Asobo have said absolutely nothing regarding DLSS4 intergration on launch, lol
@@rasteek it doesn’t, it partially works and to take full advantage you have to manually swap it out. If it isn’t asobos problem, they wouldn’t be fixing it.

Another point is the cpu bottle necking on airports and ai traffic has been significantly reduced. Don’t forget that when 2020 came out it had a lot of bugs in the beginning. Complaints can continue to keep asobo on there toes but I would try to be supportive and patient until it manifests itself.

I hear you, I am 80 and have some serious health issues. I fly every day, 2020 for PMDG and 2024 for all others. I find that every day something is fixed. There is no point complaining about yesterday if you cannot go back in time. As long lessons are learned, it does not matter. Yes there are still many bugs but with the complexity and all the different computer systems- it is to be expected. The more people support this new flightsim, the sooner things are fixed. The benefits of 2024 are worth taking a break from PMDG. PMDG is dead to me. If they can't figure out how to make their product work on 2024 like inibuilds and others have, then I will; never buy another PMDG product again. Oh well.

Yeah, the Airbus planes are modeled infinitely better in the new sim. I can't even touch the Boeing ones right now .

I have a decent machine and my VR graphics are much better in fs24. I can handle the rest.

Personally, for me vr flightsimming has never been in a better space. Dlss4 was the push my sim needed, now my simpit has really come alive!
