- Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram got married earlier today in Imphal, Manipur. An inside video from their wedding went viral in which the couple can be seen performing wedding rituals in Manipuri tradition. Randeep Hooda can be seen dressed as a traditional Manipuri groom while bride Lin was dressed in a potloi.

Manipur's Bollywood Connexion Via Music -- Many people don't know the legendary music director of yesteryear SD Burman whose immortal songs lip-synced by Dev Anand made the actor an ever-green Romeo of the Indian silver screen. Almost all the songs in Dev Anand starred Hindi films were created by this wizard of music.
Born to a Manipuri Meitei princess Sansam Nirupama alias Nirmala Devi by name, SDB's father Nabadwip Chandra Dev Burman was the prince of the Tripura kingdom. His father Ishan Chandra Manikya Dev Burman, the son of Krishna Kishore Manikya, ruled Tripura from 1849 to 1862. Maharaj Ishan Chandra had four queens namely Rajlakshmi, Moirangthem Muktabali Devi, Keisam Jatiswari Devi and Khumanthem Chandreswari Devi. Rajlakshmi was a Bengali and had no child while the other three were all Manipuri Meitei. Nabadwip Chandra the father of SDB was born to Keisam Jatiswari. Thus, SDB's mother Nirupama Devi and grandmother Jatiswari Devi were Manipuri Meitei. It was a long-held tradition among the royal families of Tripura to have matrimonial alliances with Manipuri princesses. Once a basti named Mekhlipara flourished in Agartala where the retinues of Manipuri Meitei queens used to live.
SDB's prodigal son RD Burman also created many popular hit songs of Rajesh Khanna showing him how to climb the ladder to superstardom singing a Roop Tera Matana all the way. RDB married Asha Bhonsle.

Imagine getting hate for marrying the love od their lives.....by Most people who have never known love in their lives or having to leave their relationship because "ghar wale nei manenge" Excuse/escape card/honor killings.
Whereas people here in northeast have no such notions parents only care if the family is good and if their children are happy that's all that's needed to get their kids married. Imagine being the most ignored part of the country yet the most forward mentality of live and let live.

You are right. In this case North east are very forward mentality. They are very open minded. North and South still holds their so called excuses. In this era it's almost hard and next to impossible to find good patner in life. So we must let people to choose what's right and wrong. Let the couple decide ,others can just advice but not force.
